"Of course I want to hunt!" Holly exclaimed, leaping in the air with a tail spiked from excitement. "I'm starving! Let's goooooo!" she stretched out the last word before lunging out of the den and into the dotted streams of sunlight. She waited for Frost to come out, but eagerly lifted her nose to sniff the air, and scanned the forest grounds for an sight of prey. Frost smiled at her excited sister, "You're acting like you haven't eaten in weeks," she mewed, walking over to the entrance of the den. She wasn't quite awake yet, and the sunshine was slightly painful to her eyes. Frost stared around to see if there were any easy prey that they could catch. Holly shrugged, watching where her sisters eyes went. Frost was better at hunting then her. "I haven't eaten in weeks," she told her matter -of-factly. "I'm going to die and we need to hunt! And not here!" she added quickly, swinging her head around. Prey surely would've ditched at the obvious scent of not one, but two cats. And they hunt around the den too much and didn't explore enough. "We should go farther out today!"

She was already bounding her way over, crunching the leaves and probably scaring every mouse within a fifty mile radius, but she was is no hurry to mention the reason she wanted to go was because yesterday, she had caught sight of another cat. Maybe they were still there, or at least the scent?

"I'm heading back to the den." Flame informed his brother. The ginger tom padded away quickly, as if to avoid any chance of the she-cat attempting to speak with him.
"Sorry about my brother." Bracken apologised after flame was out of sight. "He doesn't really like other cats much. anyways, are you alone out here? You're a bit young to be living, hunting, possibly fighting out here by yourself."

"Well, yeah. I'm by myself. Is that so strange?" Amber asked curiously. I guess I don't know other cats very well, but I thought most cats lived this way. "Well, I don't hunt terribly and I doubt a fox would follow me up a tree." She pointed out. -- Echostar shook her head and decided she might as well search for some prey to share with her deputy. She rather hunt than sit in this make-shift den for ages. The she-cat padded out the den and made her way past brambles, the mud sucking at her paws.

"Well, it kind of is." Bracken replied. "Most cats have someone, most likely their mother at your age." Although when I was her age, my mother was long gone. He added silently. "It's just a little unexpected." He finished.

"Oh, I guess I'm a tad young, so maybe it is strange. But it's more strange to see two kin around that are toms. I though most toms would rather travel age." Amber mewed in reply.

"We've grown up somewhat dependant on each other." Bracken explained. "You see, when Flame and I were kits, our mother was killed by rogues. Us, along with our sister were taken captives by the rogues. They forced us to fight each other, and sometimes even foxes or dogs for their amusement. When a cat turned 10 moons, they were released. We got lucky. Our sister, on the other hand, was not. They had Flame and Rain fight in pairs, but there was a catch. They were on opposite sides. She was killed, and there was nothing Flame could do to help her. That's the main reason he doesn't trust many cats. He partially doesn't want something terrible to happen to someone he cares about, but he also didn't want to begin caring about others then feel the pain of losing them."

With a small yawn, Shatter slowly made her way to her usual hunting place. Even though everyday she find a new place to hunt, Shatter finds it easier to hunt in a certain place. She knows the hunting grounds by heart, her mother taught her how to hunt in this forest when Shatter was just 7 moons old. Sniffing the morning forest air, Shatter found the hunting ground quickly. Using her hearing, she heard the scuffling of a mouse under a small bush. Getting into a hunting crouch, Shatter slowly made her way towards the small creature...

She caught scent of a vole, and crept forward to better locate it, twitching her pink nose. (Hey, Snowy, perhaps we could have our kitties run into Shatter?)

Amber inquired further, though she didn't care if he gave her a response or whether he changed the topic completely. She was rather content and didn't want to pry.

She shrugged and crept closer to the vole, placing her laws down slowly and carefully. When she was within pouncing range, she wiggled her haunches and prepared for a leap, and then the vole started and fled, and with a meow of annoyance, Holly bounced after it.

Thus, Holly was left alone in the clearing with a messily killed vole. She turned around and grabbed it, shaking off the ants that had already began to climb upon it. She made her way back to Frost, and threw her vole at her.

(hey there! is deputy position taken yet? i was going to make two cats, one deputy and one loner) (Deputy isn't taken by anyone yet, so you can take AND make a loner! )
Shatter was close enough to the mouse to pounce now, but the scent of something else caught the attention of both Shatter and the tiny mouse. With a tiny 'squeak!' the mouse ran away into the bush, leaving Shatter with a confused face and hungry belly. Is that another cat? she thought It didn't seem like the scent was coming from a single cat... Sniffing the air again, she began to follow the trail, some cats were catching prey in her hunting grounds, and the ginger tabby not going to let it slide.

"I guess I was just affected different." Bracken told her. "Flame was really messed up after that. He was a lot less welcoming then than now. I'm pretty sure the only reason why he didn't leave or get himself killed was because he felt as if he needed to protect me. He does frustrate me sometimes, but he's my brother. I think of it like he helps me by fighting and hunting, and I can help him emotionally."

Viperstrike---Deputy---A dark brown tabby with black markings along his tail, flank, and forehead. He has a few white stripes across his tail as well, and a white underbelly and chest. His muzzle is a lighter shade of brown than the rest of his fur, and the light brown goes around his eyes as well. He has white tipped front paws. His eyes are a piercing shade of green. He is loyal and very protective, tending to be more serious than playful. But, he has his moments. He is also loving and gentle, and cares for everyone in the clan. He was nearly killed in the collapse of his clan, but he survived. The scar running across his nose and close to his left eye are a reminder of that. He is 25 moons old.
Mikel---Loner---A golden tom with darker stripes running across his flank and tail. A few white patches also litter his fur. He has a small white patch that goes around his left eye. He has bright amber eyes. Mikel is fun loving and very adventurous. He loves to run around and play with his friends, but he also knows his boundaries. He hasn't been as playful since his two friends were killed by a pack of foxes not too long ago. He stays with his other friend, Shortie, most of the time, and they reminisce on their memories of their friends. He loves to smile, most of all, when he can. He feels it cheers others up too. He is 16 moons old.
Shortie---Loner---A light brown tabby she-cat with dark green eyes. She is a long haired feline, with long whiskers to boot. Her tail ends in white and black stripes. Her paws are black tipped, except for the front left one, which has white toes. She has pale green eyes. Shortie tends to be more quiet and timid than her friend, but she is also loving and cares a lot for others. She's not as trusting as Mikel. Her and Mikel's two friends, one being her older brother, were killed by foxes after they arrived in the forest area, and they've just decided to stick around since. She sometimes goes off by herself to think of her brother, but doesn't like to let Mikel see her inner pain, as she is a few moons older than him and doesn't want him to see her upset. She is 19 moons old.
