I hunter for the elders today *Redclaw meowed as he went over to the prey pile. he picked a mouse from it and walked to the front of the warriors' den*

*Redclaw knew something was wrong, but he didn't pester Colfer about it. he instead looked for Brambleclaw to see if there was something he could do. when he couldn't spot Brambleclaw, he walked over the medicine den and asked Leafpool if there was something he could do. she answered* you can collect some herbs for me if you don't mind. *Redclaw flicked his tail at Colfer, beckoning him, and went out into the woods*

Colfer followed Redclaw, picking his way over twigs and logs. "I don't know much about herbs." He remarked.

*Redclaw glanced at Colfer* then you might want to learn the basics. *he stopped at a clump of marigold* pick that. i'll find yarrow *he walked off to a clump of yarrow and started to pick it.*

*Redclaw left a few yarrow stems and picked up what he had collected. he sniffed the air and found some raspberry leaves. he started to pick them.*

Colfer followed Redclaw, then veered sideways to check out a minty-smelling plant. "Is this catmint?" He asked curiously.

Colfer nodded, picking the catmint and also picking up the marigold, about to say something but realizing that he couldn't because his mouth was full of herbs, he winced at the bitter tang.

*Redclaw headed back towards camp with the herbs in his mouth. when he got to the camp, he dropped the herbs at Leafpool's paws. she purred with gratitude. Redclaw dipped his head and headed back out of the medicine den and sat beside the warriors' den, keeping an eye on the sun as it started to sink below the trees*
