Hawk nodded at Sandstar, hoping to go see what the riot was in the den. "Well, I want to go see what has happened. Bye." she murmured, then leapt across the camp. She stuck her head in the den. "What's going on?"

Sunwind suddenly glared at Dunewhisper and hissed furiously. "That's enough!" She practicaly screeched. "I have had it with you acting like a kit Dunewhisper! I. Have. Had. It! You seem ungrateful for my care, so would it be better for me not to care for you with my knowledge and healing skills? Your making me regret being a medicine cat!" She turned to Hakwshadow, her eyes still blazing furiously. "And you need to stop provoking him! I have had enough of both of you! Out of my den! Now!"

"You are responsible for me!" Dunewhisper yelled right back at her. "I need herbs to survive! That terrible cough, that terrible Clan-I'll admit it, I will!" he stopped, panting like a wild animal. "My mother is haunting me, whispering to me, telling me to kill Sandstar and take over this Clan! She's still alive, and dangerous! I'm like a puppet! When I was born as Dune, a rogue, my mother focused on me because I was strongest! I was the champion!" He broke down hacking an coughing madly. "Now you've messed up everything!" he rasped.

"Meesed up everything? Messed up everything? How have a messed everything up? If you mother is telling you to kill Sandstar, I'm glad I messed you up then!" Sunwind tryed to keep her voice level. "Sandstar is leader, and my sister ontop of that! Why would you want to take over the Clan? I thought you were better than this! Just because you were grumpy a lot, I didn't give up hope you were a good cat inside and just needed to heal! But now I see I was wrong, and your just trying to take over the Clan! Or are you going to try to tell me otherwise?"

Hawkshadow growled deeply. "Dunewhisper. If you want to know suffering, try being someone else." She muttered, and stormed out of the den. This was great. Inkheart was coming, and the medicine cat and a warrior are causing a huge commotion.
Hawkshadow shook her head. Who was she to think she could make anything better? She'd only been part of the clan for five heartbeats. She shook out her fur, and stomped over to a corner of camp so she could think of subtle ways she could tell Dunwhisper to shut it.

Dunewhisper was so mad he could hardly speak. His voice came out in a horrible hoarse yell. "IF I WAS TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE CLAN, I WOULDN'T HAVE TOLD YOU ABOUT IT." He spat. "I want to help stop this plot, no matter how hard I want to be leader! I thought I would be met with loyal cats ready to help, but my imagination went too far, apparently! Now leave me alone!" Suddenly he couldn't speak anymore. His throat was swollen from all that yelling. He could only cough and hiss.
Mantis grinned at Inkheart. "Toldja these cats aren't smart," he breathed.

Sunwind gave him some more tansy. "Fine." She snapped. She turned on her heel (foot? paw?) and walked out of her den, leaving Dunewhisper to eat the tansy and rest.

"Tell Sandstar," he croaked. Dunewhisper ate the tansy. He could barely swallow. He soundlessly growled at Hawkshadow. Dunewhisper couldn't sleep, so he went to Sandstar.

Backstory: A loner, had kits with another loner named Shredder: Dune, who eventually became Dunewhisper, Rocky, who became a kittypet named Roxy, and Fang, who went with his father. She abandoned all of them after they left, but Dune never left. Instead the Clan found him and he became a warrior. Eventually she joined the rogues, persuading them to attack the camp.
