Wildheart shook his head. "It wasn't your fault My clan mates should know that. Just because some of them are mouse brained doesn't mean they all are." His gaze met Vespers and he saw the fondness there. Wildheart's eyes fairly radiated happiness at seeing Vesper but also a quiet determination. He wouldn't lose him again.
Sparrowflight sighed. She knew that it would be like this. One determined to stay with the other and the other determined not to make things hard for them. "There really aren't so many that blame you." She caught the whiff of scent that the dog had left. "We do need to report this to Earthstar though."

Vesper wanted to run right then and there but the look on Wildhearts face, and the words from Sparrowflight made it hard. "Fine. I will come to... apologize for leading a dog into the territory." he had liked Earthstar and was glad to have a reason to talk with the wise cat again. But everything was conflicting when it came to the Windclan cats.

Wildheart's smile returned. "I can't wait for Earthstar to see you. He will be so glad. Blackfern will be too." Wildheart started to move through the moor toward camp. He was really still kind of in shock. Vesper was here with him. Well not with just him he reminded himself with a little shake. He wondered briefly if Vesper had missed him as much as he had missed him.
Sparroflight followed behind quietly. She had a mouth full of herbs, Wildheart having left his pile with her. Bless the cat he had forgotten all about what they had been doing before Vesper had showed up.

Vesper walked a bit slower than the tom. He fell into step beside the medicine cat and walked beside her in silence. There wasn't much he could say. He went for his default mode which happened to be an over confident and flirty cat "You are just as beautiful as I remember Sparrowflight." he knew she couldn't reply, but honestly just expected her to roll her eyes like most cats.

Sparrowflight looked over at him before stopping and putting down her herbs. "Why thank you Vesper." She smiled sweetly before continuing. "If I am so beautiful and all that I bet I would be so much more so with out my mouth full of herbs. Did I hear you offer to carry some?" She purred. "I think I did." Wildheart had stopped too. He felt bad having forgot the herbs but he couldn't help but laugh a little at Sparrowflight's response.

"I'm always willing to held a damsel in distress." he winked and pawed a small pile of herbs together for himself. No matter how many times he tasted herbs they were never good. His nose wrinkled slightly but he picked them up nonetheless.

Wildheart darted over and collected a small pile as well. He was glade to have a chance to make up for forgetting his duty earlier.
Sparrowflight smiled back at Vesper. He really was incorrigible. A brief pang went through her as picked up her own pile. She was pretty sure Vesper's flirting was harmless but she wondered if he really was interested in female cats. It really wouldn't be that surprising but she wasn't sure how Wildheart would feel about it.
It wasn't long before Windclan's camp entrance came into view.

Blackfern was standing guard at the entrance. Earthstar was in the camp talking with a queen. They had been thinking about adjusting the nursery to make it larger. Their clan was thankfully growing. After the battle they had lost some, but in turn had regrown as well.
Vesper spotted the dark furred tom outside the camp and tried for a confident look, but Blackfern had always seemed... intimidating? Well maybe not that much. But Vesper still didn't want to test the toms patience.

Wildheart ran to meet his mentor. He carefully put down the herbs. "Blackfern! Look who we found today!" He moved so that he could see Vesper following him. Wildheart was aware the Blackfern intimidated others but he was also a wonderful mentor. He was one of the other cats that had understood how much Wildheart had missed Vesper.
Sparrowflight picked up Wildheart's herbs and turned to pick up Vesper's pile. She was going to quickly run them to the den before coming back out to see how this meeting would go.

"You finally decided to stop running eh?" Blackfern stood up and tapped his former apprentice on the shoulder with his tail kindly. He knew that this must've made Wildheart excited to have Vesper back.
Vesper narrowed his eyes, but stood his ground "I didn't run... I simply made things easier for you guys. But I see that time hasn't changed you either. Still as grouchy as I remember."
Blackfern grinned argued with Vesper goodheartedly. Turning to Wildheart he said "How did you manage to find him? This guys is as slippery as an eel."

Wildheart ginned back. "I didn't find him. Just like before he found me." He turned to grin at Vesper as he remembered their first meeting. In the moons they had been apart Wildheart had filled out a bit. His muscles rippled under his pelt as he stretched. "He was being chased by a dog but it didn't stay long."
Sparrowflight quickly put her herbs away before heading over to the leader. "Earthstar! He's back!" She really didn't need to say who as the leader and her had had plenty of conversations about Vesper and Wildheart over the moons.
((Gotta sleep but will back during the day tomorrow thought probably not till noon or so.))

Earthstar padded out of the camp and walked up to the small group. He smiled warmly at the golden tom and touched his nose to the shorter cats forehead "It is good to see you again Vesper. I was worried you would never come back."
Vesper returner the smile "To be honest, I wasn't really planning to come back but I guess that fate won't let me get away with it that easily."

Sparrowflight smiled. "I know you don't believe in our star clan but I believe they may have plans for you and us." She purred gently. If there was one part of being a medicine cat that she loved above the others it was her connection with starclan.
Wildheart felt his heart tighten at Vesper's words. He hadn't planned to come back? Had he not missed them at all?

Vesper couldn't help but agree with the medicine cat. He had done his best to forget the clan and avoid them, but somehow in the end he had returned.
"Let us continue this discussion in the camp." Earthstar offered "We have some extra paws as well, should be helpful to rebuild the nursery." everyone seemed to want to put the poor golden cat to work. Not that he really minded.
Blackfeet agreed with their leader.

Sparrowflight nodded at the suggestion to head into camp. She really needed to make some rounds and check in on all the kits that had been born recently and any cats needing her attention but it was so hard to leave the others.
Wildheart's chest swelled with pride in his leader. He loved the way that Earthstar just accepted Vesper. He eagerly followed the group into the main camp.

When they entered the camp Vesper wasn't noticed at first. But as cats started to notice you could see the differences in reactions. Some were curious, some were excited, and others looked angry or worried. Earthstar led them over to a shaded area and sat down "I heard that there was a dog involved. It left the territory correct?"

Wildheart nodded. "Sparrowflight and I were gathering herbs on the edge of the territory when the dog chased Vesper almost into us. Vesper used some fantastic fighting skills and once I joined in and it caught sight of Sparrowflight getting ready to also attack it fled." He explained before stopping and looking thoughtful. "We do probably need to patrol that area a little more heavily incase it returns."

"The dog was with a two leg so it probably is back in a leash." Vesper added.
"I'm glad you are alright. It would be bad if our medicine cat was the one who got injured. Blackfern would you take a patrol and check it out?" Earthstar turned to the forth member of their little group.
"Of course." he stood and padded away.

Wildheart was glad that Earthstar hadn't asked him to go on the patrol as he really didn't want to leave now that Vesper was here but he would have reluctantly. "I am glad that Sparrowflight wasn't hurt either but I think we could have handled it with out it coming to that." He grinned. "You know she would give me a hard time if I acted like she couldn't protect herself though."

"I personally wouldn't want to fight her. I feel like she could hurt me in ways no other cat could." Vesper joked. Earthstar let out a good natured laugh and the chatted for a while longer. Eventually a warrior walked over to fetch Earthstar. Earthstar excused himself and walked away.

Vesper took a moment to reply. He looked around for a way out of talking to Wildheart alone but found none. Finally replying he said "No. I just went back to my usual life style. I had to get back up in the rankings of the alleys but it didn't take long... A lot must've happened here though."

Wildheart nodded. "It has been pretty busy since you left. There was a need to restock the med cats supplies and then we had a rash of kit births. We have had to do a lot of hunting. We had some issues with a few thundercaln cats overstepping their territory." He tried to remember all that had happened since Vesper left but there had been quiet a bit. "How does the rankings in the alleys work?" He asked suddenly struck by that question.

Vesper was surprised the clan cat was interested. That life was so different from the alley life, and it went against many of the rules the clan cats followed. "Well basically your ranking is based on how many cats know you and how good you are at fighting. If a lot of cats know you and know to fear you, they won't get in your way. But if your lesser known you'll be chased out of territory by stronger cats." he shrugged "It's really just a game of who had better skills and strategy." there was a quick pause before he continued "There is and exception though... If you have a group. Blight was one of those cats. Not necessarily strong alone but strong within a group." his eyes darkened at the mention of the tom cat. He had lowered his voice even though there was no one really close. Shaking off the dark mood he tried for a laugh "I guess that's why I was so wary of clan life at first. It reminded me of the way they did it. Though now I know that's not true."

Wildheart looked thoughtfully into the distance. "How did Blight attract such a large group if he wasn't strong on his own?" he asked with a frown. "I mean we follow our leader because its part of the tradition and star clan's will not because he or she could beat us in a fight."

"Normally with groups like that the old leader dies and whoever is the strongest takes the lead, but with Blights group he's the first and only leader. In terms of moons, their group is relatively new. Blight is a good strategist and he's capable of bending other cats wills. Even I was nearly caught up in his stride." it was embarrassing to say so, but there was a time when he looked up to the older cat and was happy to be part of his group. Now he wanted nothing more than to rip out his throat.
