Frostwing walked up to Nightfrost, looking up at the strands of light escaping through the canopy above as she felt the soft grass cushioning her step.
"We'd better get a move on, knowing Ravenstar she's probably worried about us by now," she said with a light smile.

Screen Name: Smileyme2 Character Name: Crookedtooth Rank: Elder Gender: She-cat Age: 189 moons Looks: A shabby, heather-coloured she-cat with leaf green eyes. Her muzzle is greying, her fur has lost its sleek quality and her senses just aren't what they used to be. She has dainty paws, although they're no longer deft. She was renamed 'Crookedtooth' after bashing her fang against another cat so hard it misplaced itself (if you were wondering, she won that fight). Personality: Despite her age, she still has a noble air about her- she hasn't lost any of her sharp wit or no-nonsense attitude. However, she's content to take life at a slower pace and has relaxed a bit. She enjoys sunny days, eating pheasant and bossing around apprentices (after all, how else will they learn respect?). She can tell some very good stories, though if she's in a crabby mood they're usually about the Warrior Code. Crush/Kin: No crush & she's so old nobody remembers her kin. Other: Woo, first New Forum clan I've joined!

She didn't sleep? Ravenheart thought, panicking for a moment. remained outwardly calm though, making up a quick excuse in case she mentioned him coming back to camp so late. "Yes, I've been having some trouble sleeping as well, last night I went on a walk to clear my head. Maybe you could join me one day?" he said, knowing he would have to be careful about inviting her on his outings.
"But I can just super hard later," Dewpaw continued whining. She had never been one to jump right on a training day.
"What isn't Ravenstar worried about though?" Nightfrost joked quietly. "Do you smell that?" he asked, trying to place the scent once more before he spoke to Ravenstar about it.

Leopardleaf yawned. "Maybe one day." She mewed. Sighing, she padded over to the fresh-kill pile, grabbing a mouse for herself, intending to go hunting in a few minutes.
Briarstep rolled his eyes playfully. "No. Now, come on." He meowed strictly, nudging her again.

Ravenheart tilted his head at Leopardleaf. She had always been a little awkward around him in his opinion, but now she seemed to be dismissing him. He wondered if she suspected him of lying. He followed her slowly making sure not to startle her. "I was thinking about checking the borders or going hunting, would you like to come with me?"
Dewpaw finally stood and left the apprentice den, grumbling the whole way out. "What are we going to do today? Can we go hunting? I'd much rather go hunting than fight," Dewpaw rambled.

Briarstep chuckled. "Sure." He meowed. "You have to catch at least three peices of prey today, okay?" He challenged.
Leopardleaf looked up from her mouse. "Alright. I was planning to go hunting after eating. Then we could check the borders?" She suggested. The she-cat had smelled a weird scent last time she had went out, and she found that it also smelled like Ravenheart a bit. It made her curious, because that was no ThymeClan scent, but she had decided not to ask him about it. What he was doing was his business, so, as long as he wasn't breaking the warrior code he was fine... right?

"I'll catch at least five," Dewpaw boasted, never one to back down from a challenge. "How many can you change?"
"Sounds like a plan," Ravenheart said, grabbing a shrew from the fresh-kill pile and settling beside his clanmate. At least if anyone caught his scent at the border from the night before he could say it was from checking the border with Leopardleaf. He just hoped no cays would recognize his scent before they got there. "Have you talked to Moonleaf about poppy seeds to help you sleep?" he asked after taking a bite of his shrew.

Leopardleaf shook her head. "I'll be fine.." She assured him, taking another bite of the mouse. She tried to stifle a yawn. Sighing, she shoved the mouse aside. But it was really bugging her. These last few nights she had dreams of an unnamed, black cat and some faceless rouges, she could tell by their stench, attacking the camp. It worried her. She decided she was just paranoid, so she avoided sleep.
Briarstep gave her a mischievous stare. "I bet I'll catch 6." He challenged. Challenging her was just a way to get her to do her work, and it was fun for Briarstep. There have been a lot of challenges.

(Smileyme2 welcome to the clan! ) Taking note of his concerned tone Frostwing followed his line of sight to the border and padded closer. Taking a deep breath she breathed in the scents of the world around her, ferns, the faint trail of a shrew, Nightfrost? and something else, something that definitely did not belong in this territory. "Yeah, I do. Smells like, cat...? There's something odd about the scent that I can't quite place though, I think I've smelled it before. We should let Ravenstar know when we get back to camp, if those rouges are getting confident enough to start crossing our borders we could have a problem."

"Would you like to talk about them?" Ravenheart asked, genuinely worried about Leopardlead. She seemed very worried about whatever she had seen in the nightmares.
"We'll see about that," Dewpaw teased before nodding towards the exit. "Lead the way. Also, are we going to be splitting up for this challenge?" she asked.
"I was just thinking I recognized the scent too," Nightfrost said distractedly. "Yes, we should go tell Ravenstar, maybe she will be able to identify the scent. He took a deep breath and thought for a moment that he smelled Ravenheart, but he knew that couldn't be. His brother had slept beside like he always did the night before.

The tortoiseshell shook her head. "No, it's fine." She meowed, standing up from her spot. The she-cat streched out her legs, and sighed. "Ready to go?"
"Whatever is best for you. I think we should split up and meet back at sun-high." He replied, leading Dewpaw out of camp and toward the hunting grounds.

Ravenheart nodded, trying to figure out how to coax Leopardleaf to tell him if she had noticed how often he'd been leaving camp. He had always been pretty close to the she-cat and hoped that she would open up to him.
Dewpaw nodded, excited for the challenge. She was much more open to training if it was a challenge, which she knew would be a problem once she had her warrior ceremony since it wouldn't always be a challenge. At least she was having fun now.

The she-cat stood, stretching her legs. "Alright, you lead the way." She meowed. She saw him look a bit ... Confused. Yawning, she asked "Anything bothering you?"
Briarstep smiled. He had never stopped being a kit, really. As they walked into the forest, he lifted his tail high, then quickly brought it down. "Go!"

"Oh, no. Just ready to head out, and a little tired," Ravenheart replied. "Where would you like to start hunting?"
Dewpaw took off at a sprint, heading towards a cluster of bushes. She slowed down a few fox-lengths away so she wouldn't startle the prey and sniffed the air. She purred in satifaction when she smelled a mouse and possibly a sparrow. She stalked forward silently, trying to find where the sparrow was.

"Alright." She wouldn't bother him about it. "Hunting first is fine with me." She purred, starting off towards the hunting grounfs.
Briarstep ran forward, going in the opposite direction of his apprentice. He ran to a tree where he often found some of his favorite prey. Birds. He took a whiff. He smelt a pigeon, squirrel and rabbit. Perfect. he thinks with a purr.

"How have you been lately, aside from your nightmares?" Ravenheart asked, following Leopardleaf out of camp and trying to make small talk.
Dewpaw stalked forward, silently sniffing to find where the sparrow was. When she found it, she nodded and got close enough to leap and attack. She accidentally stepped on a twig, startling the bird into flying. She leaped desperately and snagged it by the wing, slamming it back to earth and nipping its neck.

"I'm fine, thanks for asking." She purred.
Brairstep spotted the squirrel. He slowly stalked up behind it, and launches himself at the furry rodent. He met with air. The squirrel was trying to scurry up the tree. Not today. He thinks with a grin. He quickly claws up the tree following behind the squirrel.
When he is close enough, he nips at one of its paws, making it hard for it to climb. Then he reaches forward, and snaps it's neck with his teeth, and crawls back down the tree, victorious

Ravenheart purred back quietly, looking around at the forest. "It's beautiful out today, isn't it?"
Dewpaw buried the sparrow before moving on, scenting the air. She thought she caught a whiff of rogues on the wind, but she shook her head. She was too far away from the border for the rogues to be, and the wind was blowing the wrong way. She smelled a mouse and quickly found it, nipping its neck before it could escape.

"It is." She replied, her eyes not dull and tires anymore, but happy, and calm. She glanced at her hunting partner happily. Leopardleaf sighed, looking at the looming trees above her
Brairstep caught the pigeon and rabbit, and stashed them in an empty fox nest like he usually did. He quickly covered them in a thin pile of leaves, like he always did, and hurried back and sniffed the air for more prey.

(Guess I'd better post a starter- oh, and sorry if the description of the camp is completely wrong )Crookedtooth stretched out with a yawn at the entrance to the elders' den, revealing a broken fang in her mouth, before settling down and basking in the quiet shadows of the cave.
Sunlight filtered weakly through the thick foliage at the entrance of the camp, throwing dappled patterns onto the smooth, rocky floor. The breeze that blew in was warm and summery- however, even in the early afternoon the stone beneath Crookedtooth's paws was pleasantly cool.
Crookedtooth sat still, enjoying the tranquility of the moment.
