~ for those who can't see the forest for the trees ~
{ i n t r o d u c t i o n }
It's dark when you arrive, stars glimmering through the canopy of trees above. There's a cat beside you where there hadn't been before, sleek, silver and almost glowing in the moonlight that was draped over her fur. She smiles, wordlessly padding ahead to a thinning in the trees, the very Earth itself having risen to form a mountain. Was that there before? How did you not see it? It's the largest thing around... There are other cats now, you can see them waiting for the silver cat ahead, waiting for you. With caution, you approach. There's a chill in the air that catches you off guard, the murmur of running water from a nearby brook, and behind the cats, you see a cave, hear the mewling of a kit and the laughter of what can only be apprentices. The world feels slow and dreamy around you, but finally you join them in the clearing, the silver one still smiling at you.
"I am Moonleaf." Her purr is low and even, sharp blue eyes shining. "Starclan told us you would not be long." She looks to the other gathered cats, two more she-cats and a tom, who nod somewhat exasperatedly, but their gazes are not unkind when they look at you. This doesn't feel real. "This is Thymeclan." She mews. "Welcome home."

Thymeclan is often mistaken as weak because of their quiet nature, however this is most definitely not the case. What they lack in strength they make up in cunning, able to move silently throughout the forest and stalk their prey almost singlemindedly. They are peaceful by nature, but fearsome in battle, and have no qualms about killing if it means saving themselves. Unlike most other clans, the Leader is not the one to greet newcomers and strays, that honour falls upon the Medicine Cat, where they will be checked for injuries and allowed to stay until heals, whereby a decision will be made as to whether the newcomer will be allowed to stay with the clan. Very few are turned away, and Medicine Cats must have a very keen intuition, and be able to make hard decisions. Starclan has often foretold of cats who would arrive and either bring great pain or great joy to the clan, and it's up to the Medicine Cat to determine which it will be.
Because of where their camp is situated, Thymeclan rarely receives rain, and they rely on the water that comes from the stream that runs through the camp. To become a warrior, an apprentice must journey to the other side of the mountain, to The Place of Stars, and drink from the water found there. If successful, Starclan will inform the clan's Medicine Cat, and the apprentice will be able to take their place as Warrior. The Place of Stars is where Medicine Cats also go to communicate with Starclan.

Located at the base of a mountain, Thymeclan has made camp in a small cave that had been carved directly into the rock. The mouth of the cave is shielded from view by thick foliage, which only parts to allow the stream through, though the plants are easy to get through if you know where you're going. The most important feature is the stream that runs from a place near the top of the mountain, connected by tunnels created through millions of moons of erosion. The East wall is where the water comes in, and it flows down through the cave, out into the forest. The Fresh Kill Pile is located in the North-Western corner of the cave, right beside the stream, separating the food from the Medicine Cat's Den. The Nursery is the furthest from the entrance of the cave, located in the east corner for safety, and was made to also store extra moss in order to keep it dry. The Elder's Den resides at the back of the cave, while the Warrior's Den is beside the Medicine Cat's on the East wall, close to the entrance. The Leader and Deputy's respective Dens sit on a small, elevated plateau against the West wall, mirroring the Warrior's Den by the entrance.

Many think she is cold or impersonal, despite her kindness, and they would be right to a point; she was made leader at a young age, and has had to make hard decisions, forcing her to think with her head rather than her heart. The only cat she's warm with is Moonleaf, who is practically her polar opposite, though the two were apprentices at the same time, and were basically raised as sisters. Since the attack, she's been firm but kind while leading Thymeclan, preferring to speak to cats one-on-one rather than in a group, and having never raised her voice at an apprentice. Though she is one of the younger deputies that ThymeClan has seen apart from Ravenstar, she has still shared in many battles and as a result has a large scar running along her flank and a smaller one sitting on her left cheek bone. While not being as strong as some of the other warriors she's undeniably fast and quick footed, giving her an edge in battle. To be put bluntly, Frostwing is an extrovert and a romantic at heart but also fiercely loyal to her clan. She was chosen as deputy due to her ability to sense problems within the camp before they arise and is a natural born mediator. Very friendly, she interacts with other cats with ease, naturally assuming the best in them, but if you break her trust it becomes next to impossible to get back. She has a somewhat tenuous friendship with her leader due to their conflicting personalities but they respect and value each other’s opinions. | apprentice : none

A Russian Blue with sleek, silver-blue fur and piercing blue eyes, Moonleaf is the picture of elegance and grace. Her life as a Medicine Cat has left her with no scars, though her eyes hold wisdom beyond their years. If Ravenstar is the head, Moonleaf is most definitely the heart; sweet, sometimes childish, and always putting others before herself. She's very good with the other cats, able to easily read a situation and respond accordingly. She pays special attention to apprentices, and makes sure they're being treated right by their mentors. He's rather harsh and bitter, and has no time or patience for apprentices who are slow, and hasn't had an apprentice since Ravenstar. He feels entitled, and is angry that his apprentice was made Leader instead of him, as he was a close friend of Aspenstar. Despite this, he is easily one of the most loyal warriors in the clan, and would put his own life on the line for his fellow cats. His mate died when they were both newly made warriors, and he's had trouble getting close to others ever since. | apprentice : none

He has never had a problem making friends, and had never been extremely popular in the clan but he doesn't know any cat that outright dislikes him. But his social skills aren't the only thing that make him different from Nightfrost. Despite his "friends" in the Clan, Ravenheart despises the clan. In his eyes, the Clan didn't "save" them as kits, like Nightfrost thought of it. Ravenheart feels that they stole them from their parents, who were part of a rogue group.
