"Alright, I'll be ready to catch it if you scare it my way." He told Spiritpaw. He turned to the side, bunched his muscles and leapt over a wide expanse of air, landing on a branch of the tree opposite Spiritpaw and he began making his way toward the tree that held the squirrel.

Shadepaw and Thymepaw nodded, "But we are kind of lost Minnowpaw..." Shadepaw warned.
Thymepaw rolled her eyes now, "We are fine, Shadepaw and I just didn't paw attention, but you probably know Minnowpaw." She said gently.

Spiritpaw nodded, and then began to cross tree branches to get to the squirrel. She didn't trust the branched all that much, so she didn't jump that often. She neared the squirrel's branch, and looked at Raypaw to see if he was ready. |

Sageheart padded back into camp feeling rather tired. It had taken a while, but they finally had a leader. Now they needed a deputy and all would be better.

Raypaw made his way to the other side of the squirrel at and easy distance to catch it. He looked over to Spiritpaw and gave her a nod of conformation. Spiritpaw carefully stepped into the branch that held the squirrel. She wasn't sure to do, so she began stomping on the branch, hopeful that the squirrel would be affraid of falling. (and naturally Stagpaw is being forced to go to the medicine cat meeting) |

Raypaw poised himself and waited as Spiritpaw stomped on the branches, assuming she'd chosen sturdy ones that wouldn't crash under her. The squirrel raised its head and began scampering fast into the branches, no doubt heading for the nearest tree away from Spiritpaw. Raypaw skimmed over the branches and extended his claws as he neared the little grey creature. He landed on top of it and broke its spine with a sharp bite. He looked over to Spiritpaw, the squirrel limp in his jaws.

Raypaw smiled around the squirrel before making his way to the base of the tree so he could store the squirrel. The cream colored tom scraped earth over the rodent before replying to Spiritpaw. "Yeah, we'll have scared away any birds near here, but squirrels aren't so frantic. There'll still be some near here, though it is leaf-bare so we shouldn't be to hopeful." He advised, clawing his way back up the trunk and onto the branches. His pelt brushed hers as he stood next to her again. "Do you want to try catch the next squirrel? I'll scare it toward you when we find another." He suggested.

Raypaw gave a nod before scanning the trees for any sign of prey. He noted with a sinking feeling that it was getting dark and if they didn't find anything soon they'd have to head back to camp, or at least get out of the branches as it was dangerous at night since it was easy to not notice missing branches.

Figured glanced aroubd, looking for a squirrel. She wasn't having much luck, but, she thought that she'd seen a glimps of a red tail on a tree next to hers. "Raypaw! Over there!" Spiritpaw whispered.

"Spiritpaw," Raypaw hissed under his breath. His stomach churned with dread. "I think it might be a raccoon." He breathed in the surrounding scents, hoping to be proven wrong, but he'd heard elders tails and some raccoons had scarlet-brown tails.
