Fire Paws was coming back from a hunting trip with a fat rabbit in her jaws. Sandy would love this! Sandy shuffled in the fox hole she and her sister, Fire Paws, called home. Just then, the smell of rabbit caught her attention. Fire Paws caught a rabbit! What a surprise! Fire Paws could never catch rabbts, but today she did! Fire Paws saw Sandy scrambling out of their den. "Hey, Sandy! I caught a rabbit!" Sandy rolled her eyes. Fire Paws was such a glory hog! "I know, Fire Paws. I could smell it and hear your paws from fox lengths away!" Gray woke at dawn's first light to hear the meows of cats nearby. Alarm shot through him. Was that a TundraClan dawn patrol? He didn't know if he was ready! Creeping closer, he realised the mews led away from TundraClan territory. Warily, he climbed the nearest tree to get a better view. He saw two she-cats in a nearby clearing, near a fox hole. He hoped they wouldn't be a threat, but he decided to check it out. "Well I can hear you from too many fox lengths to count away!" Fire Paws retorted. Sandy rolled her eyes. "Fire Paws, chill." She smelled another cat's scent, and nudged Fire Paws. "Do ya smell that?" She asked. Fire Paws sniffed the air. There was another cat nearby! "I do," She mewed. "Do you think they're a threat?" "If they were, they wuld have attacked by now," Mewed Sandy. Fire Paws relized she was right. |

"Come on!" she yowled. The Hind began to move, slowly at first, then began to pick up a little speed. "I can't lose it!" Ripple got up to his paws, but was quickly falling behind. "I don't know if I'm fast enough," he shouted. "Why don't you go on ahead! I'll catch up to you later!" "I'm not leaving you!" Spark whipped around. "Are you sure you can follow my scent?" |

But If I can't find you by sunrise, I'm coming back." Spark took off after the Hind. Her paws skimmed the grass. The beast, seeming to know she was chasing it, slowed slightly, giving her time to catch up before it bolted into the forest. She chased it as it manoeuvred though the trees. She skidded to a stop as it bounded confidently into the valley. Summoning her courage, she raced after it, bounding down the slope. Her eyes scanned each rock before she leapt, making sure she landed. When she reached the bottom, she looked around. "Rats," she snarled. The Hind was gone. Spark decided to wait in the valley for Ripple. |

Jadeclaw jadepaw || She-Cat || med apprentice of the med apprentice ||7 moons||jadeclaw is a small, short-furred, fluffy pale white she-cat. Her fur is pale white, though it is a bit darker on her ears and tail tip. Her nose is very pale pink, and her ear fur is pale gray. Her entire pelt is pale white except for a little pale gray on her tail tip. || Jadepaw is very kind. She loves to help out with her clan, and will do anything in her power to help her clanmates survive. She is very loving of kits.

She exlaimed, then added, "I'm Sandy, and my sister is Fire Paws. Fire Paws, you can come out now!" She called. A gray and ginger she-cat crawled out of the fox hole. Fire Paws peered at the stranger. "This is Gray," explained Sandy. "Okay." mewed Fire Paws. She saw no threat in the gray cat now that he had said his name. Sandy sat down. "So, Gray, where are you headed to?" |

The beast, seeming to know she was chasing it, slowed slightly, giving her time to catch up before it bolted into the forest. She chased it as it manoeuvred though the trees. She skidded to a stop as it bounded confidently into the valley. Summoning her courage, she raced after it, bounding down the slope. Her eyes scanned each rock before she leapt, making sure she landed. When she reached the bottom, she looked around. "Rats," she snarled. The Hind was gone. Spark decided to wait in the valley for Ripple. Ripple, scratching and bruising himself along the way, finally caught up, after dragging his heavy body. He couldn't panting. He collapsed right next to a rose bush, only to yelp in alarm when a bunch of thorns dug into his pelt. "Why did you stop?" he wheezed. |

He couldn't speak so he started to claw at the other thorns. Spark nosed his paw away again and pulled out all the thorns she could see, wincing slightly every time Ripple let out a cry of pain. After all the thorns were removed, he complained, "It's bleeding, do something about it." |
