"Though we have no medicine cat at the moment," she called to the Clan, "I shall travel to the Moontree tonight. Drizzlepaw, would you like to accompany me? You are, after all, the medicine cat apprentice. Hopefully StarClan will soon present us with the blessing of a full medicine cat who can continues to train Drizzlepaw."
Lionyowl picked a scrawny pigeon from the prey pile and gulped it down before turning to Wolfheart. "Shall we commence with this hunting patrol?" he asked.
Rocketkit sat at the nursery entrance, watching his leader, Darksnake, as she made her announcement.
Gray sat down in the middle of the woods, licking his paw nonchalantly. He looked at his sister, Spark. "Did you hear something?"
Spark nodded and crouched down warily. She tracked the scent to some bushes and leapt. She found herself atop a startled silver tom.

"I'm not looking for a fight, either," growled Spark. "But I'm still not sure you're no threat. My brother is younger than me by a few moons, and I plan to protect him."
