It has been raining no stop, for a few days now, the rain pelted down hard on the island below. The sky a dark shade of grey. Though it was nothing unusual, how do you expect everything to look so green, without a good bit of rain. The puffins stayed snuggled up in their nest, and there were no hunting to be done currently. which for hungry bellies that wasn't a good thing, the kill pile has grown really low, only a few soggy prey left on the pile. Though it was not safe to go hunting, not when the weather like this. The ground was slippery, and with not much effort a cat could slip breaking it's leg, or neck, or even rolling down the hill and into the water below. You definitely had to be careful living on an island, especially when the island goes upwards, rather than being large and flat.
A cat sat under shelter starring out towards the grey sky and at the ocean. The feline could see boats in the far distance, but none came this way. Which he wasn't sure why, but glad they didn't. This place was top tourist attraction, people came from all over the place, to see this great Island that has a history. This island was once a monastery, but it inhabitants no longer here, it then became a tourist attraction, but now it has new inhabitant. Felines who'd get on the boats when humans traveled, usually running away from something chasing them, they ended up coming here with the tourist, and then left here. Multiple felines had this fate, but they didn't die out, they flourished feasting on seabirds, and living in the monasteries that was left behind. A new clan was born.
The feline who sat, continued to watch. Flicking it's ears to the sounds of cats sleeping, and the sound of the pouring rain. Which began to slow, hopefully it would stop, though it filled up their trenches they dug out for extra water supply, since the sea water that surrounded them was not a good source to drink. Sage green eyes looked up at the sky, the dark grey began to lightened. Letting out a soft sigh, relief flooding over the feline. Though a noise caught it's attention, ears flicking. The sound of another stirring cat was heard, sage eyes turned back into the shelter through the dark they searched for a figure.
[So the Island is still a very big tourist attraction, this is a lie. XD [hoping to be one of those tourist one day.]
