( Hm... I'm down with anyone (besides Rin, since that would be kind of weird for me) as a sensei for Akira. I think Shun as a mentor might be funny though, because Akira like idolizes him and then Shun will like ... be Shun and offend him on accident )

Kaihime & Hayakawa | Tags; Rin, Hanako, Kotone, & Akira | Clearing, Entrance The Burmese chuckled sheepishly at seeing happy faces at her paws. Yep, they were ready to go alright. Perhaps this day would be a bit exciting; besides, the minari could get a little headstart with their hunting techniques before they were assigned their own personal sensei. With a sideways jerk of her head, Kai began to turn away from the excited group and make her way back to the entrance. Suddenly remembering Akira's uncomfortable reaction to being called "little", she blushed and looked back at him, feeling guilty. "Oh, and, uh...I'm terribly sorry, Akira. I'll try not to call you that again." She had forgotten that he didn't like to be degraded by using the word 'little' so loosely like that around him. But what else was she supposed to say?
As the five cats came into view of Rin and Hayakawa, who were waiting patiently at the entrance, Kai gave a thumbs-up and gestured to the eager minarai below her. "I think we're ready. It'll be a real treat for these brave 'warriors'." Without waiting for the two, she bounded out under the red gate, Hanako racing at her heels.
Hanako | Tags; Kaihime | Clearing I'm going on a hunt! I'm going on a hunt! The little Angora galloped alongside Kai a giant white smile adorning her face. She was going into the Bamboo Forest for the first time, and of course, she was as excited as she'd ever been. But as she thought about the peaceful hunting grounds, she also took time to regard to dangers they might face when in there. The foxes and fox spirits were one - those things were huge, and they possibly couldn't take on one without help. The tanuki were another thing, but they'd probably just steal their food and run off like the mischievous little creatures they were. An eagle could swoop down and carry one of the smaller cats away. Her smile faded at the terrifying thoughts, but she decided not to worry much. As long as she stayed close to the adults, she'd be fine. Plus, the leaves of the bamboo would block any aerial attacks, so they should be fine.
Arata & Daisuke | Tags; Ruri | Clearing After Arata teased his friend, he noticed Ruri's uncomfortable expression after he lowered his head to continue his breakfast. What, did she really think that they were going to argue again? He was going to reassure her that it was all in good fun when she chimed in with a request to go hunting come afternoon. Shoulders sagging, the mohagany tom chewed on the lapine for a few more moments before responding bluntly: "Eh, I guess that would be alright. I need to practice my skills anyhow." He lifted his head, a sideways smile on his face. Might as well assure her about his and Daisuke's quarrel. "And, uh, don't worry; Dai and I were just messing with each other. We've cooled down."
He's using my silly little nickname again. Daisuke thought with an inward chuckle. The massive black tom said nothing to add on to Arata's statement, but simply nodded in agreement, picking his hooked claws with his fangs. At Ruri's elicit for a hunting trip, he immediately assented. Hunting was one of his hobbies, and he never passed up the opportunity to go on one. "Of course we could hunt, Ruri. It'd be nice to have some work to do."

( Well, let's see...
About most of the apprentices, Hanako, Kai, and Hayakawa are out on a hunting trip; Daisuke and Arata are chatting with Ruri; Akiko is laying up in her tree, doing nothing; Rukia is eating her breakfast near the fresh kill pile. So I don't have many cats open, but I'm sure everyone else has more characters open than I do. ;u;
If you wanna RP with me, though, I'm totally up for it! )

leopard;; ( Awesome! >:3 )( I'll add them both once I get on my computer. For now, you can RP~ ) (Okay! I know how to start! And somehow I've figured out the perfect colors! )
Meiko(Open to RP) Meiko ran outside the home as fast as she could. She had been stuck in that home for three days. That must have been the longest time I've been in a human home...I need to get away from here! She began running toward The Bamboo Trail.
Yoru(Open to RP) (He's only dreaming at the moment. He's not actually at The Bamboo Trail.) Yoru was walking in The Bamboo Trail. He sat nearby a small stream, and looked at his reflection. It wasn't long before a bakeneko on their hind legs was right next to him. Yoru jumped in surprise. After many years, I thought I would have gotten used to this by now... "Yoru, why haven't you figured it out yet?" The bakeneko asked. "I'm not one of you! Now leave me alone." More bakeneko surrounded him. "You still believe that you are a cat? Look at that long tail! It is longer than any cat's tail around here." All the bakeneko agreed. "Now, show us your mighty abilities." "You have got it wrong. It's probably something that's in my family." These crazy yokai never listen...Why can't they see that I'm just a normal cat destined to not become one of them? "Stand, Yoru! Stand up!" "Stand! Stand! Stand!" The bakeneko chanted. Yoru had no choice. He painfully stood up, standing on his hind legs. "See? You are one of us!" The many bakeneko grabbed him, taking him into the darkest shadows. *** Yoru woke up. He looked around, and noticed he saw still in the camp. He tried to stand on his hind legs, but fell down. Yoru chuckled to himself. It was only a dream...

Lady Akiko | Open to Roleplay;; | Cherry Trees Sighing, the female daimyo sat up her perch, her grip instinctively tightening. She must've started to dose off - the early afternoon heat of the sun had made her quite drowsy. Besides that, this was one of the few times she'd actually gotten a couple hours of sleep; Akiko had been stressing and worrisome, praying to the gods, day in and day out. Nonstop.
Perhaps she should go and do something other than lay around all day and mediate.
She was not lazy, no. Far from it, actually. It just so happened that Akiko had become very restless lately; her late husband, Kotarou, had been murdered from an attack with the deadly Oda Clan and their tyrant, Lord Nobunaga. She was still brooding over his death, and that clung to her cold heart. Leaping down from the perennial in one fluid motion, the spotted Siamese landed lightly on the petal-covered grass below and slowly sat down, looking around absently.
( I have to go now, sorry. ;;-;; )

[ Izumi | Departing Camp ]
Heeding the neophyte's acquiescence to her exhortation, she deviated from her contemporary pose - that of faintly peering over her shoulder - to recommence her promenade to the egress. Svelte dome upheaved upon departing, rosette shells maintaining their perpendicular attitude; aside from the Lilliputian margin of sagging at their termini. Unlike the tyro, the saccharine bouquet of the petioles aloft ushered not a single adjustment to her phlegmatic lineaments. As an alternative, these glacé-perfumed corollas were paid no regard; not a single glimpse up at them proceeding. A balmy shaft of the forenoon's cadmium sun seeped through the canopy's screening, illuming her silver-brocaded fleece, which ipso facto had it exude an appealing gloss. This satiny frame was toted with the usage of supple limbs, ones of which took brisker strides to relatively hasten onward. As a result, the interlude that progressed to reach the vermeil gateway was brief, to which she ultimately reduced her tempo by a diminutive disparity in order to establish whether or not the tenderfoot had fallen behind.
During the hopefully fleeting lull, her vision wandered, almost as though to disregard the grimalkins already rendezvoused at the entrance.

Rin | Tagging: Kai, Hayakawa, Kotone, Hanako, AkiraHaving been watching Kai intently as the samurai talked to the group of minarai, Rin was practically jumping up and down in excitement. She was going to get to spend some time with not only her new friends, but the young ones too! And furthermore, they were going hunting and probably tree-climbing, both of which sounded very fun to the little bobtail. Well, okay, so maybe the molly wouldn't know exactly how to deal with Akira's short temper - she supposed she'd try to avoid saying anything rude, which was hard when the little tom took everything as an insult! -, but Hanako and Kotone she most certainly liked. After all, the two minarai seemed pretty nice to her, and she definitely enjoyed niceness and positivity! Plus the idea of teaching them a little was rather thrilling. So long as a certain Angora minarai was willing to listen to whatever advice Rin would give, of course. Actually, Rin wasn't sure how good of a sensei she would make since teaching didn't particularly come naturally to her, but this was a good chance to try! When Kai approached with Akira, Hanako, and Kotone in tow, Rin smiled brightly at the group, blue eyes shining with excitement. "Just you wait, this is going to be so much fun!" she cheerfully promised the three before quickly turning and running after Kai, who was already leaving. Akira | Tagging: Kai, Hayakawa, Rin, Kotone, Hanako
"Thanks, Kai-san," Akira muttered sheepishly after the samurai apologized. He felt slightly bad for getting so defensive about being called little, which was arguably not an insult... but only slightly. He would have reacted the same way to anyone else calling him little, after all, and he'd accepted her apology too, so he figured he should just let bygones be bygones and enjoy the hunting trip. Still, it was a shame that the conversation between the minarai had to be interrupted - he had really wanted to hear what the others thought of their potential senseis! Oh well, he figured he would corner the others later for their opinions. Except maybe Hatsumomo. He never had enough patience to talk to her. "I bet I can catch the most prey between the three of us!" he murmured light-heartedly to Kotone and Hanako as he followed the samurai obediently out of the camp as they all made their way to the Bamboo Forest, though he was mostly joking... mostly. The lithe tom was definitely determined to catch a lot of prey - though he figured he wasn't as experienced as the samurai, he'd at least make an effort to keep up with them -, and the idea of a little mock competition amongst the minarai would motivate him, even if the idea of losing at anything was terrible to him.

Hatsumomo | Minarai | Hanako, Akira, Kotone, Ao, & Akane + anyone else I missed because this party is huge now
Momo's ears pinned themselves down at Kai-san's voice. Any sort of authority made her nervous, and she hid said anxiety through quick quips and disobedience. For now, however, the pretty she-cat became quite quiet. It was early in the morning and her interesting or clever comments could wait until she was good and ready. She would never admit that, for once, she had no snappy, cunning reply to spit back at being called 'little ones'. She loathed the title, as it made them seem like children. The patronizing would not go unpunished, however, Hatsumomo would take them down a size. She paraded behind Ao and Kotone.

Yuki
A flutter of green caught her icy blue gaze. A pink nose twitched to sniff at it, and a white paw slowly lifted itself into the air. It stayed for a few seconds, watching the leaf descend lower and lower ever so slowly. It was level with her nose now, so close she could see the tiny veins branching out in a pattern-less web. A few more seconds and...
Fwap!
Scooore, Yuki cheered in her head, purring in satisfaction as she saw the blades pierced by her claws. The victory was short-lived, however, when she realized that now the leaf was stuck on her paw. She shook her paw once, twice, three times to no avail. She huffed and cast her gaze around the camp.
Yuki was sitting alone in the camp, finding entertainment with herself. She'd missed her chance to go join the hunting trip with the other minarai due to her oversleeping, which was a rare occurrence for her. She was usually up at the crack of dawn, and not a moment after. This day was unusual for that. She didn't know why it happened, either. It's not as if she had trained particularly hard the day before. Quite the contrary, in fact, the previous day had been pretty lax.
Ahh, the mysteries of life.
She didn't mind too much though. She could find a way to have fun by herself. Besides, it's not as if she would add a whole lot to the hunting party. Yuki was a dreadful hunter; loud, imprecise, and messy. You could always trust on her to not only make a racket loud enough to alert the prey on a one-mile radius, but miss by a pawlength, and stir up anything and everything that was under her paws. And should she actually manage to make a catch, she was sure to be slow and allow the catch to let out one final panicked call before killing it.
Yuki didn't let this get her down, anyway. She was sure that she would learn before she grew to be of age. She just needed the right sensei, which she hoped she would get. Once she got that down, she was golden.
The reason why she would have liked to join on the excursion was to simply hang out with the other apprentices. All the fun, the jokes, the general good vibes that came for that were things she loved more than anything. She loved to be around other cats. What else could she say, she was a cat person.
Yuki blew at the leaf with her mouth and shook her paw again. She sheathed and unsheathed her claws continuously, but it stubbornly held on. She tried slapping her paw on the floor, but all that managed to do was get her paw dirty with dust and bits of grass. The grass rustled underneath her as she flopped to the floor, eyeing the stuck leaf intensely. She rolled to her back and began to shake her paw again. A small mew of frustration escaped her throat. Her head lurched towards the leaf and it got caught between her sharp teeth. A yank, a small, barely audible rip, and the leaf was suddenly off her claw and was slowly floating down to the ground. Yuki watched it descend with triumph bubbling up again. She rolled to her belly and slammed a paw on the leaf, claws sheathed this time, to slam it down. She lifted a paw, sniffed at the leaf, then stood up, looking around the camp again.
Another fluttering caught her eyes again, this time in the form of a butterfly. A smile spread on Yuki's rounded face and she instantly dropped into a crouch. Hindquarters swinging playfully in the air, Yuki waited for the butterfly to flutter in front of her before she jumped up, waving a paw towards it. The butterfly veered in direction and Yuki gave chase. She clapped her paws together to trap it. However, when she opened her paws, there was nothing there. She extended her gaze to see that the butterfly had successfully escaped her and was now fluttering away, way over her head now. Yuki watched it fly away as she sat down, her tail wrapping itself around her paws. She looked at the forget-me-not blue sky, took in the fresh scent of cherry blossoms in the air, and smiled. Today was going to be a good day.

(thank you ^^ i might have to poof soon, but i'll put him in.) Kenshin | Camp Kenshin looked over at Yuki, who was busy playing in the grass. He couldn't help but find amusement at the minarai find entertainment in the same way a kitten would. Not having much else to do, the small tom stood up, and padded over to the area Yuki had been playing. "Hello, Yuki-san." He purred once he was within earshot of the young cat.
