Taking in deep breath Cinnamonflame awoke abruptly from her nap. A crude smell had entered her nose, and it didn't want to leave anytime soon. Cocking her head to the side the young shecat knew she had scented the same thing before. Taking in another sniff, she was practically sure she had encountered the smell before. Without waiting for the owner of the smell to show up, Cinnamonflame jumped from her rock and sprinted the short distance back to the Orchardclan camp. Panting from her run she looked around the camp for either Orchardstar, Berryblossom, or even Snakepounce.

Lightningsong started to wander closer to camp wondering if the other cats had left him.
(I'm sort of bored so is there anywhere in the drama that I can get Lightningsong caught up in? If not I'll make him try to catch something else.))

(i will take over berryblossom for the time being. Mother Dark you could have him catch the scent as well?) BerryBlossom say CinnamonFlame come racing into camp, and skid to a stop. sensing the panic, she bounded over to the she-cat. "whats wrong?" she asked immediately, watching the entrance of the camp for movement. |

A look of relief filled Cinnamonflame's face once she saw her sister before it flooded back over her face again. "Oh Berryblossom you wouldn't believe what has happened!" She let her mew out, her fur fluffing out nervously. "I was sitting by the sunning rocks, when I scented something that wasn't there before. I tried to figure out what it was, but I wasn't entirely sure. So I can to find you and Orchardstar." The young shecat puffed out quickly filling in her sister the clan's deputy.

Lightningsong wandered further away from camp again and hissed as he breathed in the rank smell of saliva and wet fur. He hadn't smelled it in a long time but this couldn't be good. He raced back to camp to tell someone what he smelled

"well what did it smell like? was it familiar?" BerryBlossom asked. she laid her tail on her sisters shoulder, hoping to calm her. she was afraid that the others would sense her panic, and become as panicked, or worse. and the last thing they needed was mass hysteria in the clan.

Lightningsong paused outside the camp to take a breath and flatten his fur hoping he wouldn't scare anyone especially the kits. As he entered the camp and saw Berry blossom and Cinnomonflame talking he padded closer to them and sat waiting but tried to show that he needed to talk to the deputy.

Clueing into what her sister was inadvertently telling her, Cinnamonflame flatted her coat back down. "I'm not entirely sure, as I didn't stay long enough. But it was almost a dirty, wet smell." She mewed trying to lower her voice to not alert anyone else. Once Lighteningsong walked up to them she almost instantly stopped talking about the smell. Giving the tom a curt nod.

with a critical look at the tom, she nodded. "speak. now. maybe you both are speaking of the same smell" BerryBlossom said. she had an idea of what the smell was, but was not going to speak her mind until she knew for sure. no need to throw rumors around without any solid proof.

"I don't want to say what it is in case my nose was tricking me but it smelled like wet uncleaned fur and horrible breath. I think I know what it is but I don't want panic anyone." Lightningsong let the words rush out but kept the one tg he really wanted to say inside.

"I was smelling the same thing!" Cinnamonflame piped up, once she realized that Lighteningsong had indeed scented the same unknown object. "I was around the sunning rocks when it happened. Where were you?" She asked looking over at the tom.

"just say it. no one else is around, and we need to be on the same page" BerryBlossom ordered. if it was dogs, as she thought it was, theyd have to go investigate, and find out as much as they could while at the same time being safe about it.

Cinnamonflame sat down, her breath puffing out nervously. She herself had never encountered a dog, but as a kit she had heard enough about them to know that they were no good. " Oh Starclan. What are we going to do?" She mumbled half to herself.

BerryBlossom took the lead out of camp, and then let her clanmates take the lead. she was nervous, she didnt want there to be dogs in the area. but if there were theyd have to deal with them.
OrchardStar shook her head. "no. you attacked one of my warriors in our home. you are leaving. now" she growled.
