Sunpetal purred at Flickerpool's joke--although the she-cat had said it with such a perfect deadpan--and nodded to Archckaw before padding away to find someone else to talk to. Even though she wasn't actually dying, she thought it would be a good idea to find an herbalist to talk to. (How do you upload pictures to this? I could draw my OCs and other people's OCs lol they'd be so bad but how to upload first of all?) hmm I could have Nightwhisper see her?  ] |

"I can try!" Oak replied, tumbling over his paws and popping up in one movement. "I don't know if I ever have. Is climbing trees part of guard training?" He swished his tail and looked back over his shoulder, hoping Duskstorm hadn't been too confused by their flurry of voices and fur. 'Sometimes.' She said. 'If we're out in the wilder areas it's nice to have a one-up on your enemies- especially if you're small and not especially strong, like me.' She reasoned. 'So if you're able to get onto the back of your opponent, or just avoid them altogether if you know you can't win, then that's the best way to go- up!!' She found herself a decent tree and leapt at it as she spoke the word 'up', claws latching and grasping purchase in the soft bark. She hauled herself up it and then sat triumphantly on a low branch, looking down at him. 'Now you try!' Oak squinted at the tree and lunged forward, thinking of it almost like a pounce. He gave an odd yelp as he stuck there and clung to the trunk, not exactly at the point of panic but coming close. "What do I do? Do I jump up? This is so weird!" |

Fox released a loud laugh. 'Push up with your hind legs and release with your front, and grab on with your front again so you don't fall.' She explained, watching him. 'You can do it, I believe in you!'

He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment, then opened them and shot through the motions. Lunging forward with his back legs, he reached forward to grab the branch and barely got purchase. However, his claws snagged the branch, and he managed to scrabble his hind legs and get himself up to the branch beside Fox. "Wow! That was kind of awesome. Thanks, Fox." |

It wasn’t a problem,” he said. “Why were you on a hunting patrol?” Stoneheart asked sharply. Thunderheart shuffled his feet. “I needed some exercise, I guess,” he said. “But, uh, care to explain what’s going on here? Did you force Icefang to come in and make awkward small talk with Dewfern again?” “I’m just doing what I think is best, Thunderheart. Some of us care about the castle’s well being.” Stoneheart jumped off of the old furniture and left the room, going to his private chamber. Thunderheart grit his teeth to stop himself from raising his voice in front of the royal guard. "Uncle?" Dewfern pricked her ears up at the argument. She was getting extremely uncomfortable. "I don't mind talking to Darkfang..," she lied. It wasn't that she disliked him, but she hated that she couldn't have a normal conversation with anyone. Everyone spoke to her like she was a charity case, which in a way she guessed she kind of was. I really just don't want to be one, she thought with a tinge of sadness. She gave Icefang a kind smile, feeling guilty he got dragged into all of this. |

Thunderheart sighed. He didn't know what to say to Dewfern anymore; wasn't he just as terrible as his brother for allowing her to be locked up here? Couldn't he sneak her out once in a while to walk in the garden and get away from the oppressive atmosphere of the castle? But instead, he simply forced a smile, said, "I need to go rest," and turned away, leaving her alone with the royal guard.

"Hmm. I guess, but you never know," he said, his eyes still fixed on the sky. Pinestep had an uneasy feeling that he just couldn't shake, but he did his best to ignore it. "Maybe t-" He spotted a black dot high in the air, steadily getting bigger and bigger as it moved above the meadow. Red flags went up in Pinestep's head immediately, and he sprung up, thrusting his muzzle in the direction of the shape. "Whoa! H-hey! Umm..," he stammered, struggling to form his thoughts into sentences.
(I've been trying to improve my roleplaying skills and make my characters and replys interesting, but I've kinda been failing oops)
