JadeClan || Grand Opening

You sat perched on the sandy ground of a hollowed out, clearing. Many cats surrounded you; sitting up above on tall trees and down hidden and bushes, lengths away from you, giving you wary and bitter glances and you could just hear their gossiping, what they probably were thinking as they looked over at you. You swallowed a gulp, drawing your attention away from the cats, to a sycamore tree fox-lengths ahead of you.


Brambles sprouted out around the tree and you could just make out the faint trembling its stems did as a cat exited. Your heart lurched as a pale colored she-cat, with a broad flat face, padded towards you, only to stop about a mouse-length away. "Thank you for your patience," She began, beckoning you with her tail. "Nightstar wishes to see you now. Do you still need me to hold your paw, or have you the courage to go alone?"


You winced at the bitterness in her voice, but decided it would be best to go alone. "Very well then." She replied, stepping aside to let you pass.


As you crept through the thick tangle of brambles, you could make out glinting green eyes coming from a dark hollow near the back of the tree stump, the eyes blinked and flickered over to you as you neared the entrance.


"Palestream says her patrol found you stealing our prey." The cat began, his voice was strong and calm. But before you could say anything, the cat continued, "She also mentioned that you successfully caught a squirrel, leaping up into a tree in one single bound and killing it. Is this information true?" You could see the curiosity in the bright green eyes and nodded your head slowly. What did hunting have to do with any of this?


The tomcat in the hollow seemed to nod, and the glinting eyes began to move upwards, you assumed he was probably standing. "Come." He meowed, padding out of the hollow, and exiting through an opening that you hadn't even noticed. Gosh, you were such a mouse-brain for not seeing that! But as the cat in the hollow stood out in the sunlight, you saw how massive this, Nightstar, was; he had massive muscles in both his shoulders and hindlegs, and a sleek black pelt, along with a broad flat face, just like Palestream. They had to be related in some way.


You followed after the massive tom, watching him leap up onto the tree stump, and looking over the camp. "Let all cats old enough to recite The Path of Stones, gather here, around the sycamore for a Clan meeting!" Path of Stones? You thought as the massive leader yowled, and at his summoning, the cats that sat chatting before began to move closer to the sycamore. You grew nervous as eyes began to train onto you and you looked around the crowd of cats until your eyes landed back onto Nightstar, who looked confident. You tried to match his level of confidence as you faced these forest cats, but you failed, your fear taking over. What were this cats going to do with you?


"Earlier today, one of our patrols found this cat on our territory hunting near The Stream," Yowls of protest began to rise through the crowd, but stopped when Nightstar raised his tail for silence.
"His hunt was a success, and he apologized afterwards, returning the prey he had stolen. This cat has a true and respectful heart, they carry the way of a true JadeClan cat. And if you will have us, I would like you to join us, and be taught the ways of a real JadeClan warrior." Nightstar paused, his green gaze growing hard as flint as he looked over at you, and you could just see his claws beginning to slide out.
"And if you will not, then we will have to ask you to leave." So what would you choose? Learn the way of the Stones, or continue the life of a loner.

JadeClan’s origin began a long time ago, far more longer than the oldest elder could tell a tale of. Way back when the Clan was first beginning, they didn’t have a source to connect with their ancestors. They didn’t even know they had ancestors. The founders of the Clan, a two she-cats that went by the names of Gem and Opal, formerly two loner sisters, who always expressed the need to live in a group with other cats and protect each other. It was rough finding cats to join them and then finding their new territory. But in the end they found the perfect home right over the mountains. Settling in wasn't all that much easy either, the two feminines had trouble directing their cats. 

JadeClan is made of fair and patient cats. 
Despite the various personalities they come in, there isn't a time where they don't think first before acting.
Their home is made in a green forest with many species of wildlife and trees.
JadeClan cats usually come in dark colors to help blend in with their surroundings, but it is highly possible for them to be paler or lighter colors.

JadeClan territory is hidden in a thick forest on the other side of some mountains. Their forest has a variety of different trees and just along the edge of their territory a mountain range makes their borderline on every side if their territory.


Mossy filed- The mossy field takes its place in the center of their territory, just a small distance away from their camp. The warriors use it to battle train their apprentices. It is also good use for collecting moss for bedding.


Frog Spring Pond- A swampy area just along the border of their territory where a lot of amphibians like to hide out. A good place for hunting. 


The rabbit trail- The rabbit trail is a brilliant place for hunting. It takes place in the heart of their territory where beech trees grow and where plenty of rodents and birds like to feed. 


Star Grove- The Star Grove is where medicine cats and leaders for to visit StarClan. It takes place just in a valley a long distance away from their territory. Inside the Grove a tunnel leads underground to an abandoned mine where crystals poke out of the dirt walls and at a certain time of night, when the moon is at its highest point the crystals will shine and that is when it is time to speak with StarClan.

Camp: 
The JadeClan camp isn't that much if a camp at all. Much like their leopard ancestors, these forest cats take their shelter in up in the trees. In the center of the clearing is a great oak. Between the roots of this oak, the elder's den lies, sheltered by brambles to keep it warm and dry whenever it rains. Just across from the elders den is the nursery which is hidden in the shelter of a holly bush. It's the second most sheltered den in the camp.
Just across the clearing is a line of tall trees. This is where the warriors sleep, there nest sheltered in the branches and hollows of the trees. It isn't as sheltered but there is always time to scoot your best back whenever there is a leak. In leaf-bare when the trees have she'd it's leaves, warriors are ordered to sleep on the forest floor in the bushes to keep them dry and warmed. At the bottom of one of the trees is yet another hollow. This is where the apprentices rest. 
At the far side of the warriors' den and to the left of the Great Oak, yet another tree with low hanging branches. This is the medicine cats den. The medicine cat and there apprentice usually sleep within the thorn hush beside this tree while they're patients will sleep in the hollow hidden between its roots. Inside the hollow is big enough for about five to seven cats. There is a tunnel just in the back of the hollow where herbs are stored. 
Fox-lengths away from this clearing a stream runs through, separating the density from an old Sycamore tree. Here is where Can meetings are held and also where the Clan leader makes their den.

His name came from his black claws, that seem to shine. He's got yellow-green eyes. He can be irrational and harsh, but has a soft spot for kits and apprentices. Clearfall| ♀ | Twenty-eight moons| A light gray tabby with a white belly and white paws, blue eyes. Her tail is very fluffy and sometimes annoying. Clearfall is usually ready to practice and help, and she is very proud of being a JadeClan cat. Silverstorm | ♀ | Seventeen moons | Willowstorm is a lithe, slender and agile she-cat. She has a short silvery-grey pelt, and bright blue eyes. She has a scar across her lower back, and darker grey stripes along her tail and legs, with white paws. | angelstep



Shadowfrost | ♀| Twenty-Two Moons | Comparable to a night with no stars is the coat of this young cat. She’s a deep tabby, almost black in her markings. Her fur is sleek and short, but below the fur that covers her body are bold shoulders and hindquarters that ideally help her the most to fight. She’s built to be a formidable opponent in battle, and takes the warrior’s training to heart. A scar wraps around her right hind leg like a vine, and the hair that grew back in it came in a very light grey, the only variation of color on her pelt. Her eyes are of the sort that don’t let you get away with anything. They peer into your soul, and are the color of fresh spring leaves. Dark amber flecks are dispersed throughout them, and often are noticeable in sunlight. Her personality is fairly cut and dry, for she isn’t one to deal with nonsense. She enjoys aiding her Clan, and will be the first in line to help them in any way. Her only kin in the clan is Swiftwind. | Tigerdawn




Swiftwind | ♂ | Twenty-Two Moons | Very different from the looks of his sister, Swiftwind boasts a light orange and white tabby coat. It’s sleek, and soft to the touch. In short, he’s more of a hunter than a fighter, for he’s built to slip through undergrowth without a disturbance. His paws are small and light, legs long for easy hunting. His eyes are deep amber, with a kind light about them. He’s the cat most come to for advice in their training, and is often the hardest to get angry. He hates confrontation, and is more likely to walk away from it than listen to someone’s rambling. | Tigerdawn
