(Hey! Let's pick up from where we left off! Di, we can jump forward a bit to Timidriver and Fieldgrass giving the kits their names? Or do you want Ravenstar to do it?)

(hm, not sure. Whatever you think would be most logical for your cats to do. I suppose we can just skip a lot of the back and forth and assume that the Clan cats did convince the kits to stay, so we can move on with the rp, since this one day has been dragging on for... a really long time lol. Also, I'm not sure what the medicine cat situation is at the moment but I would like for Crowpaw to receive his full name soon.
Besides that.... Nightfeather is going to take Stormpaw and someone else on a patrol, if I remember correctly. Frostflower is with Coldfire and the kits... Ashkit, obviously, is in the nursery with them... and I'm not sure what Starlingflight is doing actually, so she's 100% open if anyone has an open character they're hankerin to do something with.)

(Fox! That is your area! Crowpaw needs his med-cat name. XD Um...Totally have no idea what Tinypaw is doing currently. Or Brooktail so going to assume those two are open. Ravenstar I will keep for a bit to do announcements soon.)
Fieldgrass smiled down at the kits. He was glad they had managed to get them to stay. They would live much better lives within the clan. He knew it would be hard for them both. They had never had a deaf cat in the clan before. But what else could they do? He glanced up at Timidriver and coughed lightly. "So...um, what would you like to be called?"

The little tom tilted his head, thinking. "I-I'm not sure," he meowed after a moment. "I'm not sure how your C-Clan names work, so I'll... leave it to you, I su-suppose." He paused, thinking some more. "But d-don't name me a c-color or something. Name me something I know. A s-sound." He swiveled one ear towards his sister. "And her... something she can see."

Timidriver nodded and looked down at the kits to gauge how they were. She knew the kits were depending on her for a name, and she wanted to fit their request. A sound... What's a good sound name... Timidriver closed her eyes and tried to strain her ears as if trying find something perfect for the tom. "How's Thunderkit sound for you? And I think Snowkit would be fine for her." Timidriver meowed after thinking about the names for a moment. She flicked her tail, hoping the two would like it.

The tom tilted his head, considering the names. Thunder was a powerful sound, loud and booming- not something he would think to compare himself to. Still, he was not dissatisfied with the suggestion. Next, he considered snow: cold and unforgiving. He didn't think that fit his sister at all, but he had no idea what it looked like, or what she looked like for that matter. Perhaps she resembled it somehow. Finally, he nodded.
"I think that will work," he replied. "Thunderkit and Snowkit. Strange Clan names."

Timidriver twitched her ears, thinking that she might have picked a bit of strange names for them. She wasn't completely sure if they fit them, but she could always just ask Ravenstar to change them if she found better names for them, especially after seeing them interact with others. "Okay. If you don't like them or different names, just ask~" Timidriver purred to the two kits.

Thunderkit nodded, wondering how exactly he would be able to explain Snowkit's new name to her. He supposed when he got the chance, he'd have to just find some snow. In that regard, it was a good thing it was leafbare.
Crowpaw watched from the edge of the den, wondering if the kits would be able to fit in well with the Clan. He couldn't help but be concerned about their futures; could a deaf cat and a blind cat ever be warriors? He wasn't sure they would even be able to be medicine cats if they chose to go that route, either. After all, being able to see a wound, and hear what the patient said about it, were very important to being able to do the job effectively. And for being warriors... how would they be able to hunt if they couldn't see or hear prey? Or fight? He hoped they would find their place in the Clan, but he feared that they would become more of a burden as they grew older. Still, he wasn't in favor of turning them away if they decided to stay.

"So, are you two going to be okay?" Timidriver asked as looked over the two kits. She flicked her tail again as she tried to think what else to do for them. They had a name, and now they just needed to go to the nursery. "Coldfire is the only queen right now, but there are quite a few kits there. You shouldn't get lonely." Timidriver meowed.

(I'm here! Sorry! Like I said, I'm going on four weeks non-stop with little breaks to myself.)
Fieldgrass purred. "Snowkit and Thunderkit. I like it! Shall I go tell Ravenstar? Or, Crowpaw? Do you want to?" The sandy tom felt bad that Crowpaw was kind of sitting there looking a little bored. Maybe he would like something to do? Ravenstar seemed fond of the medicine cats. He might enjoy Crowpaw's presence. (Note: Ravenstar likes the med cats because they helped him with Moonsong. They haven't seen her in StarClan as of yet so it is up to whoever he asks to say if she is still alive or not.)

(so at any point one of the medicine cats could be like "yup she dead"?)
Crowpaw shrugged. "May as well. Someone should show the kits to the nursery as well, I doubt they know which den it is just from their walk in." He got to his paws, stretched quickly, and stepped out of the den, pausing to fluff up his fur against the chill outside. He then proceeded towards Ravenstar's den, noticing his brother emerging from the den just before he arrived. Pausing outside, Crowpaw called out: "Ravenstar, are you busy? I have news on the rogue kits."
Thunderkit nodded in response to Timidriver's question, though he wasn't necessarily pleased at being pushed off onto a queen. He had the feeling he wasn't going to enjoy being treated as a kit- after all, he and his sister had managed to survive four moons on their own, even with their disabilities. He didn't really have an interest in kithood anymore. Regardless, he tolerated the treatment for now- he'd show them soon enough that he wasn't just a helpless, blind kitten. He listened as the other cat, Crowpaw, spoke and then left the den, then turned his ears back towards the two remaining Clan cats, waiting to hear if one of them would in fact show them to the nursery.

(Hopefully with more consideration for his feelings but, yep! Letting you guys decide when or if she dies before Ravenstar.)
Ravenstar lifted his head from his nest. He sat up slowly, "Yes, Crowpaw. You may come in." He said with a rumble. The black tuxedo tom stretched quickly before he shook his fur, working out the sore spots from the fox attack. He looked at the apprentice with calm eyes. "Is everything alright?"

Crowpaw entered the den, dipping his head in greeting to Ravenstar. "Yes, so far as I can tell. Fieldgrass and Timidriver convinced the kits to stay, and Timidriver named the tom and she-kit Thunderkit and Snowkit, respectively. I assume they're being shown to the nursery right about now."

"Well, I guess I could show you around if Fieldgrass doesn't take up the job. I think you'll like the cats here and the warm den areas." Timidriver purred, thinking about her sister's kits. She knew that Foxkit and her brother would love to play with them and show them around. She just prayed that Foxkit's brother wouldn't tire them out or annoy them to no end, since he had a tendency to be a bit rambunctious.

Fieldgrass shrugged to Timidriver. "You can go ahead. I'm sure the kits would like to see you anyway." He said with a smile. He looked down at Thunderkit and Snowkit. "Don't mind Foxkit too much. She's just protective of her brother."
Ravenstar nodded. "Good. And I saw that both kits glow so I approve of the names. Thunderkit and Snowkit...Crowpaw, how well do you see them fitting into the clan? I could tell that Thunderkit was blind, and I am assuming Snowkit is deaf?" He asked quietly.

Crowpaw nodded. "Yes, it seems so." He let out a sigh. "I have my concerns about what they'll be able to do when they're older. Of course, I would never condone turning away kits in need, plus that's against the warrior code, but... there's a good chance that they'll eventually be more of a burden to the Clan than an asset." He paused, thinking, and then shrugged. "But that's no guarantee. Even if they can never be warriors, or even medicine cats, that doesn't mean they won't turn out to be assets in more unexpected ways."

"Okay. You can follow me kits, and I'll show you around!" Timidriver purred as she poked her head out of the den, wondering where she should go first. I guess I'll start from the left and go in a circle. Timidriver thought as she padded out of the den and waited for the kits to follow her.

(I just now realized that Snowkit was the name of the deaf kit in ThunderClan that was taken in the first series...)
Ravenstar glanced at the young tom before nodding. "As always, you are wise beyond your moons, Crowpaw. I expect great things from you. As what you said, I have the same concerns. I have heard of blind medicine cats but deaf...I have never heard of one. I fear for her life. We must figure something out for her. And I do not worry about them being a burden. We don't see our elders that way, and they contain a fluorescence. They were meant to find us."

(haha oops)
The mention of a blind medicine cat surprised Crowpaw, but he didn't show this reaction. In response to the rest of Ravenstar's words, he merely nodded.
"That is true. I'm sure they'll find something that they can do when they get older. But you're right, we'll have to be careful with Snowkit. Thunderkit seems fairly alert and knowledgeable despite his disability, but I get the impression Snowkit doesn't really know what's going on, and just follows Thunderkit's cues. I'm not sure if she'd be able to function well without him."
Thunderkit nodded, getting to his paws and flicking Snowkit on the shoulder to follow. The little she-kit, as usual, didn't know what was going on, but she was content to follow her brother as he padded out of the den behind Timidriver. She shivered at the cold, fluffing out her fur, and looked around the camp again with wide eyes. This is where she would be living from now on- she would have to be sure to memorize every detail so that she could find her way around if she got separated from her brother somehow.

"This here is the leader's den! This is where the leader sleeps and stays when he's not doing anything." Timidriver meowed, pointing to the den entrance. Flicking her tail downwards, she pointed to the apprentice's den was. "That's the apprentice's den. You'll be living there in a moon. Next to that is the warrior's den. You might be sleeping there if you become a warrior. To the right of that is the nursery, where you'll be living as you get accustom. And above that is the elder's den. You can go there to hear the cranky elders complain or tell stories." Timidriver meowed, going over the layout in case Thunderkit had questions. She still needed to make sure Snowkit knew what was going on though...

[hey guys. my forums name is ionic, but you can call me ion, cam, duck or whatever you feel like, i'm really chill about nicknames. if you've got any characters open, all mine are free, but i guess that's kind of obvious, huh? i've got an apprentice, two young warriors, a older warrior, and an apprentice-aged loner.]
Duskpaw blinked as he woke up, the apprentice's den coming into focus before his eyes. For a moment, he lay still in his nest before, with a start, he realized that he had woken open late. He scrambled up onto his paws, nearly slipping and falling back onto his side in his haste to get up. Taking a quick second to stretch out his sleep-heavy muscles, he glanced over at the spot where he expected to see his sister laying, but it was empty. It took him a second for the memories to hit him, and his almost panic-like rush dissolved, leaving a more somber mood in place. However, he did his best to shake it off and think about something more positive, lifting his chin and forcing a bounce into his step as he padded out of the den.
Far off from the camp, further off into the western part of the territory and barely within it's bounds, Speck emerged from the brush she turned into her makeshift den. She had tried to pick a spot far from where most of the clan would come to find her, and near the scaling cliff to (somewhat) help protect her from the harsh winter winds. She had also taken care to avoid even the faintest scent of wolves, the fear of the much larger animal enough to keep her away from even a trace of them. There was a fleeting moment that she missed the clan. It had been like this every morning of the quarter moon since she left. True, it hadn't been long, but it had been cold and honestly, she had begun to feel more lonely than she had expected. She had never been the most sociable of cats, but she almost longed to see another cat. The only one she even thought she'd miss was her brother, but there was a little piece of her that missed them all, even her father.

(Welcome Ion!)
Nameless ducked under the bramble that blocked his den's entrance. He was starving now, and hiding from the predators wasn't an option anymore. Flicking his tail, he checked his surroundings to see it was silent and there was nothing stirring around him. He began to pad a bit deeper into the forest to find some food.

(heheheheh I feel like Cinderstreak and Crowpaw could be friends. Or at least have a, like, sort of love-hate rivalry where they just continuously sass each other. Also possible Starlingflight x Blackfire? I think I had been talking to someone else about possibly getting them with Starlingflight but it was so long ago I don't remember who T-T )

[thanks!!]
Speck shook off the thoughts that had started to crowd her head, and instead padded away from her den and towards the distant scent of prey. She tasted a hint of sparrow in the air, but birds mean climbing a tree and heading up into the air, where the winds hit much colder. Instead, she searched for something that skitters across the ground. At last, she picked up a mouse's trace and followed it, hoping for something to eat. At least being on my own means I don't have to share, she thought, almost bitter, and it rings hollow in her head, giving her no comfort. She wished she didn't miss them at all.
