- Stone - The dark grey tom gave a slightly chuckle as the two cat started to get into it. He sighed softly inwardly as he thought about the reasonability that now hung over his head. These was his Clan, his family, and he had to lead them through everything until his final days. Blinking, Stone cleared his throat. "We should hunt, we've been here for a day and half and we need to keep moving," he started as he got to his paws. He weaved his head from side to side so he could look at the cats that had formed around him. " Its a fend for yourself day, so that means you catch your own food so that no one wastes energy trying to feed two mouths," he trailed off eyeing King for a few seconds before speaking again. "Pair up, no cat goes alone and do not go too far from the camp, we need t be heading out soon."

Raven rolled over onto her haunches and rolled her eyes, dipping her head dramatically to King, "Do forgive me your majesty for joking around, I promise not to bother you again. But don't come crying to me and Lark when you get a thorn stuck in your whittle paw."
Chester sat up and tucked his tail over his paws, studying Lotus carefully before replying, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean any sort of harm on you." The gray tabby looked back into the distance licking his chest fur. Perhaps he should go. "Since your not busy... do you mind coming hunting with me?"

King's lip twitched slightly as he partially glowered at Raven's taunting voice. Hmph! What did she know? If anything, she was probably just a savage street cat before all of this started - she had never experienced the divine life he had that made him so much better than most of these cats here! "And when you need me to save your tail one day, I'll remember that I might end up hurting my 'poor whittle paw'." He huffed slightly, licking his chest fur a few times. His ear twitched slightly at Stone.
"Ugh, fine." He sounded irritated as he got to his paws. "Do I have to pair up with some cat? They'll only hold me back." King complained.
"I-It's fine, I was startled was all." Lotus said, shaking her head. However, she paused at his words, eyes widening. "You...want to hunt with me?" She sounded shocked, as though she couldn't believe it. "I...Er...S-sure!" She scrambled to her paws, nearly stumbling over them and falling in the process. "Lead the way," she told him with a nod. She was more than a bit scared that she'd end up leading them off a cliff if anything.

{ I can see Raven and King fighting like they do and end up falling inlove but still having these little bickering fights with each other } - Stone - His head turned sharply towards King as he asked to go alone. "If that were the case, we would have left you behind a long time ago," he said rather bluntly. Ever since King joined, the whole group has tried to learn to ignore the 'fancy pants' tomcat. But sometimes, ignoring didn't help. " We hunt in pairs in case someone gets injured. If you were attacked by a fox you'd wish you had taken someone with you wouldn't you?" The question was rhetorical, but did get straight to the point of why they hunted in pairs rather than alone.

(I'm totally down for that :3 a very interesting relationship they'll have.)
Raven got to her paws, tail lashing in defiance at King's comment. "I'll be the bigger person here and go with King. If he promises to keep down on his complaining." With a grunt, she trotted past him with her nose and tail high in the air in her pride. She wasn't about to let that mouse-brain make a fool of her and get away with it. He'd see. She hoped he'd walk on thorn while hunting, and it got stuck deep into his pad. That would teach him.
Chester nodded, leading her through the forest in awkward silence. He wished she wouldn't be so nervous, and relax. Why'd she act like there were foxes preparing to rip her apart all the time? It just didn't seem normal! Maybe she just needed more time to adjust. Who was he to say she didn't anyways? He needed more time himself. One more day of bickering and fighting, he swore he'd jump straight into a badgers gaping jaws! "Do you scent anything?"

{Bye Lark! And omg that sounds so cute .}
"Oh please, this journey would be far too boring without me," King said with a scoff, not seeming to take Stone's blunt words to heart. In his heart, and mind, he knew just how much every cat here needed him. "I can take a fox on with my bare paws - you should've seen how I handled the dogs back at home!" King groaned, only to scowl when Raven offered to go with him. He rolled his eyes. "Oh how great I get to go with you." He growled softly, but otherwise stomped on after the she-cat. He'd literally go with any other cat than her! Well...maybe she wasn't that bad but...ugh! "Just don't get in my way."
Lotus followed on behind Chester, keeping close to him to make sure she didn't lose sight of him but making sure she didn't mess up and trip and go flying into him. Caught up in her thoughts, she didn't even heard his question at first until she looked up. "Huh...? O-oh, scent something! R-right...because we're out hunting! And...I need to smell something...." The socially awkward feline said, clearing her throat. "U-uhm...I think I smell a mouse or two nearby...although, if we go a bit farther, I think I smell...a squirrel?" She said, eyes closing momentarily in concentration before opening. "E-er...I-I...think..." She shuffled her paws once more.

Red Tom - 27 moons - The Group ___________________________________ Location - 'Camp' Crush - none Mood - Tired Mate - none Tagged - Frost Kits - none As the russet tom heard Stone's voice, he shifted and rolled over onto his stomach. He'd spent the night next to his sister, the two of them having joined just three days ago, after the death of Rooty. They didn't quite understand the group's sense of grief, especially not Red. Listening to Stone speak, and then the bickering start, he stayed quiet until hunting was mentioned. Growling under his breath, he got to his paws slowly. Nudging his sister awake, he told her the '"leader's" plan, and growled at her suggestion of him finding some cat other than her to partner with. "Why must I?" He grumbled to her softly. Frost She-cat - 27 moons - The Group(Queen) ___________________________________ Location - 'camp' Crush - none Mood - Exhausted Mate - none Tagged - Red Kits - none Having slept the night peacefully next to her brother, she woke to her brother pushing her between the shoulders. Shifting, she rolled over and looked up at the red cat, blinking away sleep. "Oh? Hunting in pairs. That sounds like fun. Maybe we should try to go with others, rather than with each other?" She offered softly, her tail twitching as she noticed his expression change, then his curt reply. "Why? Because, Red. We joined this group for safety, you might as well try to be nice and mingle with the others that are technically considered our group. The rest of them get along, and I don't enjoy being an outcast, brother." Her voice was gentle, but scolding as she sat up. "Besides, you'll go too easy on me."

(This is my last post for tonight, bye guys!) Raven ignored King for the most part, keeping her eyes and ears open for signs of pregnancy nearby. Suddenly she froze at a rustling in a thistle thicket a few fox-lengths away from her. The black she-cat flicked her tail at King for him to stop as well, dropping into hunter's crouch and slowly beginning to creep towards the creature. And it wasn't long before she detected the scent of vole.
Chester nodded looking over his shoulder at Lotus for a moment. "Yes, I can scent a mouse nearby as well, why don't you try to tackle this first one down? I can go for the next one." The Tom instructed and dropped down into a crouch waiting for her to join him and catch her prey.

{ Okay, Lark! See you later then! }
King still softly grumbled to himself as he partially dragged himself along after the she-cat, ears flattened back. The huge dark colored tom had to pull himself to an abrupt stop when she had suddenly flicked her tail for him to. About to snap at her for doing such a thing, he instead paused as the rustling of a thicket caught his own ears as well. They twitched slightly and he caught the scent of vole. Oh thanks the heavens it was a vole and not a mice. Mice were just too..plain to his liking. But voles? Voles were much more...fancier. "Well? What're you waiting for? Go get it," King told her in a bossy tone, sitting down and licking a paw, as though he had no intention to help her catch the creature. "And make it quick."
Lotus paused slightly at Chester's words and nodded. "Right..." She sounded hesitant. There was a reason why she preferred to hunt alone. She slowly crept past him, couching and her ears perked and eyes narrowed. Finally, she saw it. The little brown creature was scavenging about in a pile of leaves. She crept closer...and closer...and then she pounced! Her pose itself wasn't bad as it showed off her slender frame and long legs. It was just...the landing part. He claws caught onto the creatures tail, but it still slipped away from her grasp. However, Lotus was quick to retaliate as she lashed a paw out, sending it flying....Although at the same time, she herself slipped over the leaves. She let out a 'mrowr' of shock as she nearly fell. Thankfully, she caught herself, and before the mouse could escape completely, had delivered a quick nip to its neck. It was...a messy hunt in general, but, a success. Feeling a bit embarrassed, she decided to look everywhere else but at Chester. "T-the other mouse is nearby. I-I can uhm...stay here if you'd like." She really didn't want to accidentally mess up his hunt.

Raven ignored King, taking cautious step after step towards the rattling thistle thicket. What a nuisance! Is he trying to let the vole get away? When she was close enough the black Molly froze, waiting patiently for the vole to scramble close enough to her. There! She saw the fat, brown creature waddle a little way from the thicket, stopping to sniff the air a few times before fully going along, minding its buisness. Raven followed it a little way before she pounced, the vole letting out a shriek as she sank her claws into it and picked it up. Now to eat it. Fairly.
Chester nodded his head slowly, sniffing the air for the mouse she'd told him about. And surely enough it was near. Rolling around in the undergrowth first, Chester began to pad towards the scent, making sure not to step on any leaves or twigs, or accidentally kick something that would make noise. Soon he saw the creature, scuffling about in the crack of a tree root. Instantly he crouched down and crept towards it, raising a paw up in the air, waiting for his chance to deliver his death blow.

King waited, surprisingly in a patient manner, for Raven to finish her hunt, noting how she seemed to be a quick and efficient one. When the hunt was over, he padded towards her, letting his large, plumed tail stroke along her back. "Good kitten," he taunted slightly with a grin. A large paw reached forward with a single claw unsheathed so he could snag the vole by the hind leg, slowly dragging it over to him. "Now shoo - big cats need more food than you small little scraps of fur. I think I smell a robin or something somewhere," he said.
Lotus waited in the undergrowth for the tom to finish his hunt, keenly watching at how stealthy he was. Deciding to creep forward a bit due to the prickly branches poking at her sides, she failed to see the roots - that Chaster had so easily stepped over - and she let out a hiss of pain as she tripped over one and was sent rolling - straight into Chester.

Raven growled, laying her ears flat against her head. "That's my prey as much as yours. Last time I checked I tracked that vole and caught, while you sat here keeping your paws cleaned, you ungrateful furball! Did you ever pay attention to your mother's lessons on your manners? On how to treat your clanmates?"
Chester rolled over the root as something hurled into him, startling the mouse and making it dash back into the crack. The massive Tom growled furiously as he whirled around to see what had pushed him, freezing when he saw it was Lotus. "What did you think you were doing?" He demanded, struggling to control his anger. He shouldn't be yelling at her like this, but he couldn't help himself.

For a moment, King looked utterly baffled at Raven's suddenly snarled reply, as though he really hadn't expected for her to lash out at him. His ears lied back in turn as his hissed at her, fur bristling before he calmed himself, wanting to keep up his otherwise regal appearance. "Why how dare you, you mangy furred she-cat!" He hissed. "Do you not realize how difficult it is for a cat of my size to hunt? I'm much better suited for simply watching and making sure a fox doesn't come and pick your bones dry! How UNGRATEFUL of you not to at least acknowledge what I'm doing for you!" He let out another hiss. Once again, his paw reached forward, dragging the vole towards him. "You can go and catch something else, now stop making my ears melt with your heavens awful screeching!"
Lotus' ears fell flat against her head at Chester's snappish voice, her tail tucking and her body lowered to the ground as the massive tom cat turned on her. "I-I..." She sounded utterly terrified, her eyes wide. "I-I'm sorry..I-I just wanted to..u-uhm.." She couldn't even get the words out as she struggled to explain herself.

Raven narrowed her eyes, tail beginning to lash in her rage. "I'm pretty sure big cats like you can hunt. If Chester can hunt just fine then so can you. Sounds to me your just being lazy, typical kittypet." She retorted, clearly not about to back down from this argument. If King thought he would boss her around and treat her like nouse-dung then he was dead wrong. "I've been through more than you could ever think. And I don't need some arrogant and stuckup, house cat to try to right my mistakes now."
Chester stopped himself when he saw how terrified she looked, sucking in a breath and forcing his fur to lie flat. "No I'm sorry," he sighed looking into the distance. "I shouldn't have yelled at you, but you can leave if you want. I'm really sorry Lotus." Chester felt terrible. He wanted to try and help her get used to being around all the cats, but he has only made it worse. If she didn't want to talk to him anymore then he'd understand.

King's fur bristled once more as he took a step closer to her, claws digging into the forest floor as he hissed at her now. His fur seemed to fluff out now, making the tom look even bigger now as his eyes blazed in anger. "Oh cry me a river sweet cheeks. You're just jealous that no two-leg wanted you!" He spat. "All you mangy street cats are the same!" He snarled. "And I can hunt - it's just smarter to get you small scraps of fur to do it for me. It's called being intelligent," he hissed.
Lotus said nothing as she simply stared at Chester, her pinkish red eyes still having a hint of fear in them, as though he might lash out at her. Finally, she rose to her paws, and without a word, turned and left. For several moments, the she-cat had not returned, and it seemed like she really had just went her separate way. However, soon enough, she returned, with her mouse in her jaws. Hesitantly, she drew closer to Chester to gently place it down at his paws. "...Y-you can have it. I-I'm sorry I made you lose your mouse - you have ever right to be angry at me." She spoke quietly, looking down at her paws.

Raven was taken aback by his words, taking a stunned and hurt step backwards. He'd went too far now. "Your right no twoleg wanted me because I didn't want them. It was thanks to your precious twolegs that my mother was murdered." She looked up at him, green eyes hard as flint. "I hope your happy now." She muttered, stalking away from him. All of this over a vole? And she still had a whole day left to travel with that mongrel. Who was he to bring up twolegs now? He was a kittypet... a disgraceful and helpless excuse of a cat. Another no-hearted tom. Raven sighed, raising her head to sniff the air. While she was she might as well collect herbs as well as something else to eat.
Chester pushed the mouse back to her. "No Lotus, really it's fine, I'll find something else. You eat your mouse." His amber eyes gave none of the guilt he felt away. But his voice was raw with it. Perhaps they should separate for some times afterall. "I'll go and find something."

"What...?" King sounded...baffled. For once, the usually selfish, uncaring tom was tongue tied. His stared at her in pure shock...and for a moment, he felt pure guilt. "Raven I..." He trailed off as the she-cat stalked away. King's ears flattened slightly. While he was still irritated by what she said, that didn't mean that he didn't feel a bit...guilty for being so insensitive. He took the vole in his mouth, beginning to follow on after the she-cat's scent trail. Honestly, for once in his life, he was...unsure what to do...What he should do. But..he felt that in his heart - what he was about to do was right. "Raven?" He called out through the vole, ears perked slightly.
Lotus, being as sensitive to another cat's emotions as she was, frowned slightly, but, wasn't sure what to do...until finally, she rose to her paws, padding in front of Chester as if to stop him. "Please don't go." She spoke softly, for once, her voice not having a tremble in it. She then let out a soft purr, as if to show she held no hard feelings towards the tom. "We can share it....I'd feel bad about making you go hunt on an empty stomach at least." She spoke kindly.

Raven pricked her ears when she heard her name being called. It was King. At first she thought he was coming to gloat, but there wasn't a sign of a sneer in his mew. With a sigh she stood padding a little way towards him and peering through the undergrowth for him. "I'm over here." She called back, settling down on a nice Sandy spot, laying back on her haunches as she waited for him. What would he say? Would he apologize? Or would he ask her what happened? She honestly was nervous, King had never seemed so awkward before. What if he did something stupid? Then she'd laugh, that would most definitely cheer her up some.
Chester sighed gruffly, flopping down into a sitting position. "Alright fine, but I'll try to find you something while I'm out as well. We've still got a long day ahead of us and half of a mouse won't cut it."

"You left your vole." King said simply as he placed the vole at her paws. He seemed unsure what to say afterwards, his head bowed slightly. He wasn't apologizing - it wasn't in his nature to. But, the male did let out a slight sigh. "Not all kitty-pets lived good lives, alright?" He told her with a huff before laying down, beginning to lick at his paws. "If you want to tell me about yourself while you eat, I'm lending an ear." It was King's way of saying that he was 'here for her' if she needed someone to talk to. If anything...it was almost like he was saying he cared.
"True. But just relax and enjoy the mouse," she spoke quietly once more, but smiled. Sitting across frm him, she bent, taking a bite. "Aren't you excited for where we'll end up living? It feels...nice being in a clan." The she-cat had seemed to loosen up a little around the tom now to where a conversation could at least be held.

Raven blinked gratefully at him, bending down and taking a bite of the vole, then pushing it back to him, offering to share. "My mother didn't intend to stay with those twolegs for long. She only planned to stay there until leaf-bare was over, but she didn't even survive long enough to see her promise through..." Raven paused again looking down at her paws. "The twolegs left for a while and when they returned, they had a kit. And ever since then it gave me and my mother trouble."
Chester nodded, taking his share of the mouse. "Yeah, it's good to not have to fight over every scrap of food and peice of territory. And I hope our new home isn't far from here. I must say I get tired of all the bickering and complaining about walking." But the again who was he to talk? Chester didn't exactly complain but he did easily get aggressive with those who did complain.

"Twoleg kits are horrible." King agreed, nodding his head. He hesitated for a moment before craning his neck forward, taking a bite of the vole and chewing slowly. He noticed how she seemed to tense and look down at her paws. "If you don't want to speak about it, don't." He told her quietly. The large Maine Coon tom had even shifted a little closer to the other feline.
Lotus let out a soft purr of amusement. "I don't mind it..The bickering and complaining...even through all of it, we're all still here, together." She said softly with a nod, although, her facial expression faltered for a moment. "What if the clan splits apart before we find a place to call home?" A paranoid, fearful note had entered her voice as she tensed.

Raven shook her head, "No, you need to know, what if it happens again with another cat and I get offended? The only other cat I have ever told was Roodys because he forced it out of me." Raven paused again, the terrible memory of the twoleg kit flashing through her mind. "One day, my mother had enough of the tail pulling and squeezing, and she attacked it. The twolegs didn't like what my mother did so they took the both of us away to other twolegs and we couldn't remember where we were the next morning. But I do remember being locked away in a cage, but my mother wasn't there anymore... Those twolegs... They poisoned her. And the spirits knows why, she was only protecting herself." The same grief she'd felt in that cage washed over her and she felt like she was living it all over again. her mother's fear scent and the fresh scent if death mingling together, followed by that terrible yowling... Raven's throat tightened in pain and her eyes began to water so she looked away from King, not wanting him to see her cry of all the cats.
Chester stopped to think about her question for a moment. It was something that could happen but he doubted. "Everyone who joined this Clan promised Roodys that they'd fulfill his dream, and I have faith that every last one if them will. Besides, we haven't traveled this far only to part our ways while we're half way there." Chester stopped to bite into another piece of the mouse.

King listened to the she-cat as she spoke in an oddly patient manner, his tail flicking back. As she finished, his ears lied back slightly, and for the second time today, he seemed to be lost for words. He felt...guilty. Guilty that she had to endure that...he also felt angry. Angry that she had seen how cruel twolegs really could be. "I.." He trailed off as he saw her turn her head and the scent of tears caught his nose. Tch...he hated seeing other cats cry...The tom let out a sigh as he shifted closer until their fur brushed against each other, side by side, his tail draped over her back. "I'm sorry." The words from his slightly deep mew were sincere. It was hard to tell whether or not he was saying sorry for what he had said earlier or if he was sorry for what had happened to her. With that said, his golden gaze flickered elsewhere, letting the she-cat have her moment. But, he at least wanted her to know that he was here for her.
"Oh...that's right." Lotus nodded slightly. As the last few bites of the mouse were eaten, she stood, getting to her paws and shaking out her fur slightly. For a moment, it was easy just to see how...thin and fragile the she-cat really was. With a few delicate pawsteps, she paused, looking back at him. "Are...you going to go hunt on your own now? I-If you do I...I understand." She said softly, giving a little nod.
