~ Introduction ~
You hear the gentle lap of water onto the sand. The salty scent makes you feel at home, and you rush towards the smell. Suddenly, a yowl fills the air, making your pelt stand on end. A group of four cats sprint towards you, and you back up, afraid.
The head of the group, a light blue she-cat, steps forward, her stance powerful and leader-like. "What is your name, stranger?"
You mumble your name, worried. These cats seem strong, their muscles rippling under their sleek pelts.
"I am Oceanstar, and this is a few of my cats from OceanClan. You are on Clan territory. Why?"
You lift your chin. "I scented the water and it reminded me of an old memory," you say.
The she-cat cocked her head. "You didn't run," she commented. "You must be brave. I'll tell you what, let's make a deal. Either you can leave OceanClan territory and be treated like a rogue, or," she meowed, her turquoise eyes flashing. "You can join OceanClan and train to be a Clan cat."
Which do you chose?
~ Rules ~
1. Follow all the Forum Rules as well as the Ghost Rules. I don’t want this Clan to be deleted because someone was out of line.
2. No kit stealing or kit killing. The rule on kit stealing can bend if you ask the owner of the kit if it is alright. Kit killing is strictly prohibited. If you want to kill off the kit you are Rping, wait until they are an apprentice to do so.
3. Please be respectful to others and try not to leave anyone out. I don't want bullying. I want everyone to feel welcome here. If I find you are being rude, I will make you leave the Clan and either give your character to someone else or delete it all together.
4. No Mary-sues or Gary-sues. I don’t want any perfect cats or God-modding. Each of your cats has to have at least one flaw.
5. No swearing (cat swearing is allowed). I want this to be appropriate for all ages. Also on that topic, I don’t want any gruesome deaths or injuries.
6. No role-playing others' characters. The only exception is when the owner of the character specifically asks another forumer to do so because they will be gone.
7. Do not kill others' characters. Period. If the owner of the character wants to kill one off, they can do so, but you are not allowed to take it upon yourself by having your character kill theirs. You can ask, but respect their decision.
8. No spamming. You are allowed to come and ask for someone, and have a Clan name or link in your signature, but I don’t want anything else.
9. Use ( ), { }, or [ ] when not role-playing. I don’t want anyone to be confused when someone is talking outside of the rp.
10. Please be realistic. No powers, wings, odd colored fur, or odd colored eyes.
11. You may create multiple cats as long as you Rp regularly.
12. Please keep the gender ratio slightly even. No making two she-cats in a row. Make a tom to balance it out.
13. Please try and be active! I understand that everyone has other things to do or might be gone for long periods of time, so just let me know if you won't be on for a while. Your character will be given to someone else if you disappear and aren’t on for two weeks. (The code for the joining form is the first letter of your username and then the word joker, so mine would be Gjoker) If you have an important role such as Deputy or Medicine Cat and haven't been active for a while, I will remove you from that position and place you as a Warrior or Apprentice, depending on what role you had, and give a more active member the position.
14. Please have text in a readable font and color. I am perfectly fine with a different color or smaller font, but please make it readable. Some colors clash with the background, or small words get mixed up in my head, so for my sake, make the font readable.
15. No one-liners. It is hard to respond to the one-liners, so please write at least three lines. Also, don’t make your sentences short without any description.
16. Let me know which character(s) you are! You don't have to write down ~Somethingpaw~, and then start your rp, but at some point within each post, please say your character’s name(s)
17. I am open for suggestions on plots and prophecies for the Clan, but please, if you think of something, let me know and ask my permission before you start a big plot, like a prophecy or a journey. Simpler plots and ideas such as love interests, minor fights with predators, or things between certain characters don't need my permission, but make sure it's okay with others if it involves them.
18. If you have any concerns or if something is bothering you, please let me know, I'm always willing to help or adjust things for you.
19. Have fun! Because if you are not I will hunt down whoever or whatever is not letting you and beat them with a spatula. No, not really, we are all welcoming and kind, and will make sure you feel like part of the clan!
~ Territory ~
OceanClan territory is an island.
Important Territory Markers:
Whispering Reeds: A clump of reeds surrounding a large clearing where apprentices go to train.
Sunrise Pond: A pond at the eastern side of the territory that when the sun rises it reflects in the pond.
Willow Tree: A large weeping willow tree in the center of the territory, by the camp.
Caves: underground tunnels and caves.
Waterfall/Jagged Stones: A large, open cave where a beautiful waterfall empties into a pool. At the farthest southern edge of OceanClan's territory where Leaders and medicine cats share tongues with StarClan.
Ocean Shore: near the southwestern border. Large beach opens into an ocean. Cats go to train, hunt, and sun.
LeafClan Border: on the east side of the territory. Border is a line of trees.
SandClan Border: on the north side of the territory. Border is a smaller river.
MountainClan: on the west side of the territory. Border is the base of the mountain.
~ Camp ~
In the center of the territory, a small island is cut off by a wide river. This is the camp. The outside of the camp is surrounded by reeds and you can get to the island three ways: swimming, The Fallen Log, and Crossing Rocks.
Dens (All dens are made of rock):
Leader's den: the largest rock with a high point reaching to the sky where the leader calls meetings.
Medicine den: thick rock that is wide and long. The far back is for storing herbs, the front is for injured cats, the middle for nests. Right next to the Warriors and Leaders dens.
Warriors' den: large stacked rocks next to the medicine den.
Apprentices' den: Across from the warriors den. Smaller rocks stacked on top of each other with a hanging of lichen.
Nursery: A small opening in one bigger rock. Has a stack of reeds in front of it.
Elder's den: two hollowed out rocks right next to each other. Near the entrance to the camp.

~ Warrior Code ~
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders, Queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his/her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
~ Medicine Cat Code ~
1. A medicine cat cannot take on a mate.
2. A medicine cat cannot have kits.
3. A medicine cat will never let personal feelings get in the way of his or her duties.
4. Medicine cats are outside Clan and Clan rivalry.
5. A medicine cat may be trained in as a warrior before a medicine cat, but a medicine cat cannot become a normal warrior.
6. Medicine cats are outside Clan rivalries, but they still must learn basic fighting moves.
7. A medicine cat must be able to interpret signs from StarClan.
8. Medicine cats cannot reject an injured cat.
9. A medicine cat must do everything in his or her power to save a sick or injured cat.
10. A medicine cat will give his or her life to save a cat.
~ Herbs ~
Borage Leaves – Increases milk in queens. Brings down fevers.
Burdock Root – Applied to bites. Cures infections.
Catmint – Remedy for greencough.
Chervil – Applied to wounds. It’s leaves cure infections, it’s roots help bellyaches.
Cobwebs – Stops bleeding.
Coltsfoot – Helps shortness of breath.
Comfrey – Sooths wounds. Mends broken bones.
Dock – Soothes scratches. Leaves make fur slippery.
Dried Oak Leaf – Stops infections.
Feverfew – Cools down body temperatures for cats who have fevers or chills.
Goldenrod – Applied to wounds.
Honey – Soothes throats.
Horsetail – Treats infected wounds.
Juniper Berries – Soothes bellyaches. Helps with troubles breathing.
Lavender – Cure’s fevers.
Marigold – Stops infections.
Mouse Bile – Used to remove ticks.
Poppy Seeds – Soothes shock, distress, and eases pain.
Stinging Nettle – Dispels poison. Brings down swelling.
Tansy – Cures cough.
Thyme – Calms anxiety and frayed nerves.
Watermint – Helps bellyache.
Wild garlic – Prevents infections.
Yarrow – Applied to wounds. Prevents infections. Expels poison. If swallowed, will make a cat vomit.
Adder Barrack – Helps toothache.
Alfalfa – Prevents tooth decay.
Aloe Vera – Treats burns and skin problems.
Blessed Thistle – Strengthens heart & lungs; Increases circulation.
Bramble Twigs – Helps to sleep.
Broom Malice Poultices – Apply to open wounds.
Celandine – Strengthens weak eyes.
Chamomile – Gives physical strength.
Echinacia – Eases infection.
Ferns – Used to clean out wounds.
Ginger – Used for asthma and coughs.
Hawthorne berries – Treats heart burns and indigestion.
Huckleberry – Relives muscle pain.
Ivy – Calms down body.
Daisy leaves – Soothes aching joints.
Dandelion leaves – Calms a cat of nervous breakdown or shock.
Goosegrass – Also stops bleeding.
Parsley – Stops the initial flow of milk in nursing queens.
Raspberry leaves – Eases pain during a queen’s kitting.
~ Battle Moves ~
Back Kick - Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws.
Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control.
Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.
Front Paw Strike/Forepaw Slash - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent.
Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.
Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.
Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.
Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position.
Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.
Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance.
Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight.
Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed.
Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent.
Badger Defense: Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.
Duck and Twist: Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto their back, and then springs to their paws.
Jump and pin: Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat

~ Characters ~
Leader
Nico : Male : 45 moons : Nico is a small, short haired tom. He does have quite a bit of muscle underneath his fur so don't let his size fool you. He has thin black tabby stripes on his legs, face, and tail. His eyes are a piercing yellow that glow in the night vividly. His tail is long, and sleek like his pelt : Nico is quite a character. He is loud and speaks his mind. His voice definitely makes him sound like he was a former rouge if you know what I mean. He has everyone's best intrests at heart, andhas a tendency to follow anyone who holds a position we can not make up his mind. Nico won't take mouse-dung from anyone, and expects to be treated at the bare minimum with mutual respect : Nico was previously a rouge who lived in a small Clan like group called 'The Hilltop'. They were very vicious Rouges but their main campus was overrun and Nico left with hardly his tail intact. He came across OceanClan one day and decided to join them. He rose through the ranks quickly. : 🐱Gumball Watterson🐱
Deputy
Crowfrost : Female : N/A : A small lithe she-cat with pale blue eyes that is very noticeable at night. Crowfrost is quite muscular and has an athletic build as well. Crowfrost as well has white stripes and gray spots on her ears. Crowfrost has a long fluffy tail that has a white tail-tip. The she-cat as well has a scar across her shoulder and top of her muzzle from previous fights against rouges. Her fur is pitch black : Crowfrost well isn't the nicest cat around new warriors, but she gives respect to older warriors and of course the leader. The she-cat is fiercely though and can question some cats on their loyalty trying to find out anything secretive around the clan. Crowfrost is a bit rude around some cats especially kitty-pets, but in the end she is really just nice. The black she-cat can be a bit sneaky and skilled at doing battle moves and running : Crowfrost has anxiety and she gets nervous all the time : She is clan-born : Daryl Dixon

Deep blue eyes : Very silly but Brave when need be : Before Blizzardkit and Dawnkit were born, their father had abandoned their mother for another she-cat. This left their mother to give birth to the kits alone, with no help. So when something went wrong nobody knew until the clan smelled the stench of blood and found the two kittens huddled next to their mothers cold body. These two kits were brought into the clan and named Blizzardkit and Dawnkit. They were put under one of the queens care : ||PEBBS||

Okay!!!) Blizzardkit: A pure white kitten with icy blue eyes awakes from his slumber with a quiet yawn. He looks around the nursury to find Dawnkit, his sister curled up next to where his body just lay. He looks around to see all of the other kits asleep along with most of the queens. Those queens who werent sleeping were seemingly not paying any mind to him. He decides to step outside. As he goes outside, the dawn's light shimmers on his fur, as if his fur was ice crystals. He looks around to see not that many awake yet. So the kit decides to just sit. Today was the day before they became six moons old. Old enough to be an apprentice. He looked off at the apprentice den and smiled. Soon he would be in there, making new friends. |

Nico was awoken by the sunlight filtering through his den. He blinked the sleep from his eyes, although he almost wanted to stay curled up as he had not gotten much sleep the night before. Nico knew that two kits were going to become apprentices in just one moon. He wasn't worried about what would happen once they are apprentices, he was worried about how he would execute the ceremony considering this would be his first one. Nico was a relatively new leader, he had become leader just two moons ago so it was safe to say he had no preformed any ceremonies yet. However, Nico could not sleep in more than his warriors, as that would be unfair. Nico stretched out lazily and without much effort before going outside to greet Blizzardkit. He padded over to the young cat without much thought of how tired he looked. "Morning Blizzardkit." He greeted

Silvermist stirred sleepily at the voices outside, unfurling herself from the warmth of the other queens and kits bodies. She lay herself back down beside Dawnkit, and watched Blizzardkit fondly from the entrance, giving her chest and paws a few licks to preen herself a little.

Nico noticed that Silvermist had stirred from her sleep, as well as a few warriors. He figured it would be the polite thing to congratulate her on her kits being of almost apprentice age. Nico knew he would be proud as well. He padded inside the nursery and stood before Silvermist, giving her a warm smile. "G'morning Silvermist." He greeted her with a dip of his head.

"Fine. Just fine." Nico lied. He didn't want Silvermist of all cats to know he was nervous about the upcoming apprentice ceremony. This was Blizzardkit and Dawnkit's adopted mother after all. "How are you feeling about Blizzardkit and Dawnkit becoming Blizzardpaw and Dawnpaw soon?" He asked, putting a grin on his face. It was fake, but Nico was good at lying. That was how he got through living with The Hilltop.

Her purr grew a little louder as she looked over her kits. 'I'm extremely proud and very excited for them.' She replied, leaning down to lick at Dawnkit's ear. 'They're going to be brilliant.' A sly look entered her eyes. 'My advice to them would be to not fear the unknown, and to embrace their challenge with outstretched paws.' She looked up at him as she rolled onto her back, letting her soft underbelly on show. 'It will definitely be more lively around here again with new apprentices.'

The tip of Nico's tail flicked with a bit of nervousness, "Yes it will be nice to have more apprentices. It is getting quite dull without them running around camp and knocking over something...or someone." He smiled, his voice quiet to not disturb the others but was loud enough to have an evident humorous tone.

Silvermist laughed softly, stifling it with putting a paw over her muzzle. 'Somehow, I don't doubt that it will always be a some/one/ with my kits.' She looked over at blizzardkit, trying not to laugh again.

Nico looked over at Blizzardkit who had been too focused on what he was doing to notice when Nico greeted him. Nico was not upset though, he understood that he was just a kit. "You never know." He turned his head back to Silvermist, "I'm sure you knocked over cats when you were a kit. Something about you tells me so." Nico winked.

I was an only kit, and my mother was a loner.' Her eyes saddened. 'She was often ill.' She forced a smile again and lifted her ears. 'But these little ones don't have to worry about things like that.' She purred and gave her chest a few licks. 'You're a wonderful leader, and would never allow us to wither.' |

Nico gave a bashful smile, he brushed of compliments often, "I try, the Clan matter more than I ever will." He told her, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws. That was new information to Nico though, Silvermist had been here already when he joined the Clan after being a rouge. Therefore he assumed that Silvermist had lived here all her life. The more you know he told himself.

Rainwing yawned, padding out into the clearing. The rock was cold under his paws, but his face was unmoving. He was dreary still from sleeping, his eyes drooping with his tail. "Morning Nico," he meowed sleepily. "Silvermist," he gave the she-cat a nod.

'Good morning, Rainwing.' She purred, rubbing her paw over her ears a few more times, before finally standing and stretching. 'I suppose I should get up.' She sighed, flicking her tail.

Rainwing nodded his hello. "What will you have me do today," he asked Nico. When the former rogue first became leader, Rainwing voiced his doubts. He was still wary of Nico, but was respectful of him and followed his orders.
