(Signing up for courses and arguing over why I have to take them for the 100th time is stressful -_- My classes have started up again, but I should still be able to come on in the afternoon.)

Swiftsky heard her apprentice say something, but didn't exactly hear it and decided to ignore it. She flicked her tail, beckoning for Sunpaw to follow her back to camp. The taste of herbs wasn't very pleasant in her mouth, and she could never ignore it no matter how long she had been a medicine cat. Sunpaw followed behind her mentor closely back to camp. Once they had returned to the den, she spat out the herbs and stuck out her tongue in disgust. "Ugh, the goldenrod dust is stuck in my mouth!" she tried to wipe it off by making long rough strokes on her paw, and the dust blended in with her fur. Once she had gotten the worst of it off of her tongue, she said enthusiastically, "I'll organize the herbs!" and got to work. |

Swiftsky purred, happy to see her apprentice so eager. "I'll sort mine for now." She mewed after dropping the herbs she was carrying, and unraveling the bundle to make piles of separate types. "What does burdock do?" She suddenly quizzed Sunpaw, deciding that now would be a good time to test her.

"Uh..." The apprentice racked her brain for the answer. "The root is good for rat bites... Oh! And infections!" Sunpaw felt confident about her answer, and her tail moved back and forth quickly in excitement. She sorted the borage leaves in a pile.

Swiftsky nodded. "Correct. Another question... What do you know about foxglove? You will probably never use it and I don't think we even have any, but what do you know?" She asked, making sure Sunpaw knew everything about herbs, even ones that we're slightly poisonous.

But I don't have a clue why I would use it. Maybe to keep away pests?" The question did have her curious though. Foxglove was a easy question for her, she had memorized all the poisonous plants first just in case. |

Swiftsky smiled. "It actually can do a little bit to help treat the heart, but can easily paralyze a cat and kill them." She replied with a nod. "And you are correct, it is quite poisonous. What about willow bark? Do you know anything about it?" She quizzed again.

Swiftsky explained with a prompt nod of her head. "Comfrey? This one should be easy." She quizzed again, knowing that Sunpaw would get this one.

Dust had begun to collect on a shriveled catmint leaf, and Sunpaw let out a little sneeze. |
