Foxfang picked up the kit by his scruff, and carried him into the nursery. "No!" he screamed. "I want to be with Deerkit!" Foxfang set him down, "Be quiet now, Ashkit. Deerkit needs her rest if she is to survive this." "What do you mean 'if'? She'll get better, right?" he asked. "Sometimes cats just have to go to StarClan, your sister may be one of them. I think she has a very good chance, though, so don't give up hope," she explained. Ashkit sniffled, "i hope she doesn't die." "Me neither, Ashkit, me neither."

Onyxpaw spared a glance towards Ashkit, his determination to skyrocket. He turned back to the kitten and pulled out goldenrod and marigold, getting to work on her wounds. He chewed up the herbs necessary to help her heal and started on his work.

Quickly chewing up the marigold, he reached out a paw and gently pulled Deerkit back towards him. "Stay still Deerkit. I'm going to help you.." he murmured and started to spread the poultice on her wounds. "This might hurt but it would go faster if you'd let me help you" he said, keeping up a conversation to help calm her.

Onyxpaw finished spreading the poultice on the she kit and turned to snag his cobwebs. "Okay Deerkit, you're doing great little one. I'm going to have to move you around a bit to stop the bleeding, okay?" he told her before gently starting to wrap the kitten up to stop the bleeding and hold the poultice in place.

Onyxpaw finished up wrapping the little she kit and chewed on a claw worriedly. Was he doing the right thing? Noticing Deerkit looking up at him, he forced his paw back down and he let out a soft purr. "You did great.. How bad is the pain though little one?" he asked her, his insecurities getting the best of him. He was way over his head with this case.

Onyxpaw relaxed slightly at her words and let out a soft purr "That's good. Do you think that it would hurt too much if I move you to my den?" he asked, completely prepared to set up a nest out here and stay with her if she didn't want to be moved.

Foxfang watched Ashkit and Meadowkit.
Quailspring glanced over at Deerkit and Onyxpaw. It looks like she might be alright, he thought.

Foxfang turned around to check on Arctickit and Monsterkit, and saw a gray she-cat slinking towards her. "Hey, get away from that kit!" she yelled, jumping towards the she-cat.
Ashkit was startled to see Foxfang jump across the nursery towards a gray she-cat he hadn't even noticed. "Help!" he yelled. He didn't want anything to happen to his littermates.
