There remains one cat who has knowledge of the four original Clans. When a deadly, foreign disease struck that left many cats extremely sick and eventually turned them crazy, foaming out of the mouth, leaving no choice but to kill them only after they had bitten many Clan-mates. A light gray she-cat with dark gray specks across her pelt, muzzle, ears, and tail had gone to find a cure. Her eyes shine blue like the sky. Her name is Rainfall of RiverClan Rainfall was pregnant at the time she set off on her quest and her mate, a dark ginger tom with glowing yellow eyes by the name of Duskheart begged her not to go. Rainfall was one of the only cats fit enough to go on the journey, and was determined to help her Clan, gave her mate a kiss goodbye for both Duskheart and Rainfall knew that she might not ever come back. Rainfall searched for three moons for a cure, but to no avail, there was no cure to be found. Unsuccessful and weary, Rainfall returned to her camp to find dead bodies littering the entrance and clearing. Rainfall saw the still figure of Duskheart and rushed over to him, she was too late, he too was dead, another victim of the mad foaming-mouth disease. Tears rained down the broken-hearted she-cat's muzzle. Rainfall lay beside her mate for two days before forcing herself to move on if not for herself, then for her kits. The feminine checked the other Clans and they too were littered with bodies of the fallen. Rainfall knew she could not stay in the place that had killed so many, so she left and set off to find cats to bring back the Clans. She could not let all of her history and code fall apart. This is where our RP begins, Rainfall seeking to find cats and share with them the honorable and noble life of warriors. Rainfall's kits are soon to be born, and she will teach them all that she can. (Feel free to RP as a kit of Rainfall's when the time comes, or a rouge's ) Rainfall's kit have been born, three toms and two she-cats! Five total! The are below in the order they were born, from first to last. Duskkit- dark ginger Tom with glowing yellow eyes. (RPed by Quailfeather) Lightningkit- light gray tom-kit with white splotches, dark gray specks and yellow eyes. Dawnkit- ginger she-kit with sky blue eyes. Wolfkit- large dark gray tom-kit with green eyes. (RPed by Stormheart123) Firekit- small dark ginger she-kit with Amber eyes. (RPed by Stormheart123)

Rainfall woke up around sunhigh. She was very lonely, being used to being surrounded by caring Clanmates. Things were different now, she was the only living Clan cat left. If only she found a cure, if only she'd been sooner. Grief swept over her like a tidal wave, big lumps of emotions in her throat choked her as she tried to swallow back her anxiety. The kits were due any day now, and there was no medicine cat to help her birth them. Rainfall would be all alone, and this was her first time being a mother. If only Duskheart had survived, Rainfall pictured her dead mate's handsome ginger face. His warm yellow eyes shone with kindness at her, as did his wide grin. The feminine cried, tears streaming down her muzzle, forming a small puddle on the ground. Rainfall stood up and shook out her coat. Maybe a nice long walk would calm her down. The molly began to walk through the forest, birdsong rang in her ears. This was not like the lake and the river back home. Rainfall didn't mind the trees, but she longed to swim again and cool off in the water, watching the ripples and blowing bubbles into its surface. The she-cat spotted a mouse and pounced, grabbing it in her jaws. She ate it quickly and swiped her tongue around her jaws, catching the juices. Rainfall continued on her way, hoping to come across a friendly kitty-pet, loner or rouge.

Maple sniffed at the bright red berries of the yew bush, the big seed visible only if she looked up from underneath. She gently bit the stick right above it and set the berry a down a couple fox lengths away before bounding a little ways off. She crouched down and waited, staying very still, her body pressed down against the soft grass below. Her bright ivory pelt was marked with large orange clothes with a few small patches of black. Her fur was also marked with dark Amber tabbypoint markings and white paws. Finely, Walter what seemed like moons of waiting, a fawn slowly crept out from the undergrowth and gently bit at the berry before scurrying off toward where she could only assume the fawn's mother lay. Maple stood, stretching out her muscles and padded over to the abandoned seed. She could've swore she'd seen deer eat nuts and other seeds. Yew berry. The red fleshy berry is fine for consumption, seed may contain dangerous toxins. She tucked the information away for later use and shook out her short fur, swishing her big feathered tail. She had a lithe build and her legs and ears were slightly longer than average. The 9 moon old she-cat stiffened as she heard a rustle of leaves and the faint sound of pawsteps before the scent of a she-cat wafted over her. Suddenly, she noticed the milky scent and turned to see a flash of fur behind the undergrowth.

(Of course! ) Rainfall saw an ivory-colored she-cat and sighed with relief. Maybe she didn't have to be alone after all. "Hello!" she meowed kindly. Even though her voice was cheerful, it slightly cracked, and her eyes were still glazed over with pain.

"H-hello!" Maple greeted in return, slightly startled. She hadn't expected the cat to talk to her; she hadn't talked to anycat since her mother left her when she was old enough to walk. "I'm Maple, it's very nice to meet you." She said after a few moments had passed, remembering it was polite to introduce herself. She saw the she-cats large belly and connected that with the milky scent, She must be expecting! "U-um... How long?" She asked hesitantly, curious as to how long it would be before the kits were due. Her whiskers twitched with curiosity and nervousness that she might've come of as rude.

Rainfall purred. "Nice to meet you too Maple, I am Rainfall." The she-cat glanced down at her swollen belly when asked this question. "Not long," she purred. "Probably a couple days."

"A couple days! You should be resting! Where's your mate?!?" Maple exclaimed without thinking. She knew it was dangerous for expecting she-cats to give birth without proper rest, strength and she knew most kitty let's got treatment during. Her ears burned with embarrassment when she realized what she had said and she quickly murmured, "Sorey."

The gentle pitter patter of pawsteps could be heard echoing in the forest as paws thrummed against the soft, mossy ground. Leaf-fall was in full swing, the chilly air nipping at the toms paws as he raced through the trees. His running was cut short as he leapt, crashing down on a plump thrush he'd been chasing, crushing it's neck and killing it with a swift bite. He rose up, grinning with pride at his catch before he realized he'd sauntered into the same clearing as the two molly's. He looked surprised at first, looking at the queen and then to the other feline in astonishment before dropping his game and turning his head to the side.

"Papa! Papa! Didja get it?!" The short, chubby legs of a surprisingly young tomcat made an appearance, scuffling clumsily over a small log and plopping ungracefully next to the large, handsome tom. "I saw it see you and then you got it but it was so close to flyin' away I was scared it was gonna scratch you with it's claws!" he exclaimed, staring at the tiny talons on the bird's feet. "How did-" he cut off when his father swept his tail over his mouth, realizing they had stumbled into two she-cats.

(Nice! ) A sharp pang of grief stabbed at Rainfall's heart like thorns. "Dead, all of them dead, so many cats gone." She choked, eyes closed with pain, grief, and anxiety. " I went to find a cure for mad foaming mouth disease, but I couldn't. When I returned he was dead, No one but me survived," she meowed, voice cracked.

Maple flinched. "...." She opened her mouth to say something, but not finding any words she settled for a soft, "Sorry." She shook her head, pulling back her confidence and energy. "Anyway, you've no excuse for not resting." Maple pointed out. "You should go back to wherever your den is and rest. If not for yourself than the kits; you don't want anything to go wrong." She finished before realizing there were two new toms in the clearing with them.

(Should we wait for Carter before we continue?)
Maple was surprised that the she-cat didn't have a den, especially so close to kitting! "You could stay with me for a while if you like. My den is kinda small, but it's sheltered from rain and most of the wind." Maple offered.

Jem patiently watched the two felines converse, realizing the one molly was pregnant and the grief in her eyes led him to twitch his whiskers in curiosity. Sympathy washed over him as he realized she must be talking about her mate being dead. His own mate had died during childbirth, and Ricky was the only survivor of the litter of three. Feeling himself get soft, the tough tomcat stood up tall and swished his tail, all traces of empathy gone.

Ricky, without realizing the tense situation, scooped up the too-big-for-him-to-carry bird and waddled toward the two felines, his fluffy kitten fur brushing against the thrush. He set it down next to the queen and smiled politely, his amber eyes glittering in the evening sun. "Here, are you hungry? You smell sad. I'm sure papa wouldn't mind if you ate this, he catches lots of things!"

Maple purred in amusement at the young cat who she guessed wasn't much younger than her. She knew she should keep her guard up, but the toms didn't seem menacing or of ill-will so she introduced herself, "My name is Maple, pleasure to meet you." Her tail puffed out as a small drop of water splattered on her nose. She had thought it was cloudy, but she didn't think it'd rain; she still wasn't good at picking up on weather changes. "I guess we should start heading back to our dens. This young one can't stay in the rain and neither can R-" she paused, unsure if the queen wanted to reveal herself. "This she-cat or they might get sick." She pointed out.

As his son scampered over, Jem let out a huff of annoyance as Ricky dropped the bird, now slightly dusty, at the queen's paws. "Ricky, that was your dinner. Now you get to go hungry tonight," Jem grumbled irritably, tossing the two molly's a hard stare. "She's right. Let's go home, Ricky. I don't want you to get sick again." Sighing, Jem flicked his tail toward the opposite direction, waiting for his son to follow.

Ricky blinked his big eyes up at Rainfall and purred. "I'm Ricky!" he replied happily, turning to his father with an upset look. "Can't we share a mouse tonight, papa? I don't like birds much, anyway." The tiny tom was shivering now as the rain became a soft drizzle, making his kitten fur cling heavily to his small frame. "I don't wanna go in yet. You promised we'd look for mama today. You promised yesterday and we didn't, you can't keep breaking your promises because it's not right!" Ricky huffed irritably and pressed himself against the pregnant queen, twitching his nose as he attempted to shelter himself from the drizzle.

Maple shook the water from her fur and set a stern look on Ricky. "You're father is only doing what's best for you, Ricky. For now, you need to get inside so you and your father don't catch illness." She told the younger cat, hoping he would understand. She pondered for a moment, wondering. She shook her head, she wanted to let the toms stay at her den, that way it'd be like they were still looking for the little tom's mother on the way and they'd both get to shelter, but she knew her little den couldn't hold all four of them, especially with the chance of either toms getting sick which would mean more risk for Rainfall or her soon-coming kits to be of ill-health.

Jem twitched his whiskers in irritability, watching the sky grow darker. "Ricky, let's go, I'm not telling you again," he grumbled.

Ricky ignored the she-cat and his father. "Yeah, she's gone. I dunno where she went," the tiny tom replied with sadness in his mew. His father's eyes looked glossy with pain, though his face was stone cold.

Watching Rainfall as she suddenly made a dash for the den, Jem pricked his ears up and trotted timidly after her. When she shrieked in pain, the bulky tom instinctively pelted after her, tasting the air. The convulsions that consumed her belly made him remember Bella's birth, the pain glazed in her eyes and the chilliness of her pelt as her last breath left her body. Jem shuddered at the memory of his mate before snapping out of it. "She's kitting!"

Spider grumbled unhappily as cold rain started to fall on her fluffy black pelt, damping it more the farther she walked. The rouge was not in a good mood at the moment and that was saying something for Spider, the female never seemed very happy to begin with. The rouge had missed her catch of a large plump mouse and was quite a grumpy cat over it, mood damping with her pelt as the rain started to pick up a little. Her whiskers twitched as she sniffed the air and caught sent of other cats nearby and she slowed down her pace, bright green eyes glancing around as the smell got stronger where a clearing opened up. Spider slowly slunk out of the foliage and into the clearing, eyes glancing around.

Maple heard the shriek and instantly knew what was happening, confirmation coming from the large tom. She quickly looked around, spotting the bright red berries on a nearby bush and she hurried over, nipping off a good amount of raspberry leaves. The herbs clamped in her jaws, she hurried over to the little den and pushed past Jem setting the leaves down next to Rainfall's mouth. "Eat these. Ricky, get a hard, sturdy stick. Now!" She then turned to Jem. "When the kits come out, nip the sacks and lick their fur." She instructed, turning back to Rainfall. She'd only seen a kitting once and that was when her mother had a second litter, only a few sunrises before Maple had been told to leave. She remembered her father's actions and she gently began to massage the queen's belly.

Rainfall ate the raspberry leaves and groaned, feeling slightly better from the massage. The RiverClan warrior screeched again as felt a kit trying to come out. She pushed and the kit slipped out, one that looked exactly like Duskheart. She bit her lip in pain, and it bled slightly. "How many more?" She asked through clenched teeth, eyes glazed with pain.
