Oceanfeather was about to protest when Cavegrowl lead her to the medicine cat den, she knew they can't save her. All they can do is stop the bleeding. Her eyes could never be saved. Half of her vision was red as blood fogged up what was left of her right eye. It stung just as bad as when the fox first scratched at it. She hissed in pain, rubbing her face on her paw trying to get it out but her efforts were in vain. She wanted to get out, the blood or her eye so it would hurt no longer. Oceanfeather was about to whimper in pain but she hated acting hurt in front of others. However, is it something she could help this time? When she did reach the medicine den, she did not stop rubbing her face on her paw trying to stop the stinging feeling. "Make it stop!" she hissed, not even paying attention to what Cavegrowl had said about waiting outside. She shook her head, trying to make it clear, the pain hurt her to the extent that she started clawing at the ground, ripping up grass. All of this because of Moss-star.

"Don't rub. You'll hurt yourself more." Stone shadow mewed brusquely, gently leading her to a nest and then grabbing some poppy seeds. "Here. Eat these." He mewed, before pausing, looking over his inventory quickly. He grabbed a small bit of celandine, Marigold, and some cobwebs to stop the bleeding. Normally, he'd use this as a teaching lesson, but there wasn't much time. No doubt the others would be coming, and there would be more injuries to attend to.

Oceanfeather almost tripped over her paws trying to get to the nest, she must be losing a bit too much blood and getting dizzy. Hopefully Stoneshadow could stop it soon. However, she took her thoughts back that Stoneshadow knew what he was doing when he pushed poppy seeds towards her. If Oceanfeather wasn't in pain she would have scoffed, questioning him what a few seeds were going to do about her eye or the bleeding. But today, she was in pain did not question it. Oceanfeather quickly lapped up the seeds, wanting to just go out sleep or make the pain leave her eye. She used all her strength trying to keep her paws from rubbing her eye, attempting to follow Stoneshadow's instructions. She started tearing at the mossy nest below her, wanting to keep herself busy and try not to think about her eye. However, it was quite difficult to not think about it when she would see only half of what she needed to do now.

This is going to sting a little." He murmured gently, chewing up the mixture he had concocted. The Celandine might save her eye, at least regaining some sight back into it. The wound was fairly deep, though, and she wouldn't be able to see the same against. He pressed it against the scratch mark, hoping that it would at least prevent infection. He then put the cobweb onto the she cats face, covering well beyond the scratch in hopes of protecting it. He pressed the sticky substance onto her fur, wincing internally at the clear fear and pain the usually independent warrior was experiencing. Ocean feather usually wouldn't accept poppy seeds, she had argued with him before on it. The tom may only be 20 moons old, but he knew what he was doing, his mentor had taught him well. He thought. Well, he hoped at least. Poppysong was a great, strong medicine cat. Part of him wished she where still in Tangleclan, not a member of his ancestors ranks.

Oceanfeather wanted to shrink back when Stoneshadow came forward with the herbs. She knew that he knew what to do with them, but Oceanfeather does not know what effects it will have on her wounds. Wounds that would never heal, even with time. She clenched her jaw hard, almost afraid she would crack a few teeth. The poultices did sting, although, not as bad as the blood that leaked into what was left of her eye. A thought came to mind though, as the juices of the herbs began to have a cooling feeling against her eye, would toms view her the same way? Would anyone want to be her mate after this incident? Would not only toms, but the whole Clan view her as Weak? Oceanfeather knew she was a proud she-cat, and asking for help might make others think less of her. She prayed they would not send her to the elder's den though. That would be her worst fear, being a useless waste of space when, without her eye incident, she could have been a perfectly functioning warrior. Maybe she should run away, flee from the things that could come. Maybe she could prove to them that she was good enough, strong enough, brave enough. Oceanfeather has always been independent, should she start now or wait? Perhaps waiting would be best, maybe Timberfall will be lenient and let her remain a warrior.

Stoneshadow studied the she cat for a moment, amber eyes carefully set to a calm look, the tom knowing that any other expression could make everything worse. He rasped his tongue gently on the she cats forehead, a rather familiar gesture for the normally reserved tom. "You know, my mother lost her sight when she was a young warrior." He commented, before disappearing momentarily into the inner depths of the cave where he kept his herbs, returning with some more herbs carefully set in his jaws. "She was still a warrior, up until she moved to the nursery. Then after that, too, once I became an apprentice." He let out a soft purr, before dividing the herbs carefully, frowning momentarily. "Willow paw. Can you go and get more Marigold, and perhaps some Lavender if we have any? It should be in the very back of our storage."

Oceanfeather felt like a kit again when Stoneshadow began talking about his mother. It was like she was listening to a story of sorts, and she felt a bit comforted by the lick he gave her on her forehead. However, is story could not ease her thoughts about Oceanfeather possibly never being a warrior again. She knew she would cry that day, and run far away. Where no one could consider her useless. But she would have to wait for the Clan to decide that, it made her anxious inside. Her stomach was in knots, and her head hurt. "I know I'm not going to see the same again Stoneshadow. What do you think Moss-star will do though? Will she send me to live with the elders?" Oceanfeather looked down at her paws, shaking her head, "I'm not useless...will they be able to notice that?" Oceanfeather never really spoke about her emotions. She had always kept then bottled up inside of her, waging war inside of mind verses telling someone. That was how she always was. Her mother never seemed to want to talk to Oceanfeather about her problems, however big or small. She still did not think anyone really cared about what she had to say or think.

Oceanfeather's nose drank in the scent of the lavender. She always enjoyed the smell of it. She remembered rolling in patches of it when she was an apprentice, of course if she did that now, she would make a fool of herself. Her thoughts were interrupted when Stoneshadow spoke. She looked up from the purple flowers and to the medicine cat, her ears pricked with curiosity, "I know I was told about him, but not much." She wondered what Stoneshadow felt like talking to her about stories. He sounded like an elder to her, but she should listen. After all, she would need the practice for when she becomes an elder herself soon. Oceanfeather said this in her mind bitterly, and a grimace showed on her face for a small second before she realized that she was making a rude face. Oceanfeather hoped Stoneshadow thought nothing of it, as it was not directed towards him.

Willowpaw had finished tending to her brothers wounds and sent him to lay down in the apprentices den since his wounds were minor. Hearing her mentors instructions she moved quickly to the back to the cave and found the herbs that he had listed for her to grab. Picking up the last of the lavender first and then the marigold, she hurried back to her mentors side. "What would you like for me to do?", she asked wanting to be helpful.
Timberfall made it into the camp and headed straight to the medicine cats den. "Stoneshadow, Willowpaw! Its Iceberry, shes been injured badly", he meowed to get the cats attention. Gently he set Iceberry down in some thick moss next to the medicince cats den entrance. "Its going to be okay", the tom meowed gently as he turned and looked down ot the she-cat and gave her shoulder an encouraging lick.
Cavegrowl sat on his haunches and shuffled his paws as he peered into the medicine cats den. He could barley see Oceanbreeze(or is it 'feather' I'm so confused) through the vines that covered its entrance and he hoped that she was doing okay.

"He was the leader before Redstar, who was the one who appointed Moss-Star deputy. Anyways, Halfstar was in a fox attack, came out alive but ended up with terrible injuries. He couldn't see out of his left eye, or hear out of his left ear, and his front right paw was practically useless. Yet, he still remained a warrior. His leader didn't send him to the elders den, and neither will Moss-Star with you. You will just have to find new ways to fight. Hunting should be easy enough, yeah? You just use your nose " He purred, before adding, "Now, rest awhile, Oceanfeather. I'd prefer it if you stayed here, just for the night so we can keep an eye on your wounds." The dark tom mewed, before glancing at his apprentice, lips pursing. He hadn't realized they where so low on Lavender. They where going to have to use something else to calm any cats down... But they where going to have to cross that bridge when they got there. The medicine cat stiffened when he heard Timberfalls frantic mew and he shook his head, muttering something along the lines of "Great Starclan, what now?"
Iceberry let out a small cry when she was laid down, her injured paw hitting the nest at an awkward angle. That was the only noise she made for a while now, eyes now barely open. She didn't respond to the deputy when she felt a rough tongue run over her bad shoulder.
Stoneshadows eyes darkened, not surprised that the quiet young warrior got the brunt of the damage in this attack. He could remember, back in the two moons he trained as a warrior, that Iceberry, Icepaw at the time, would always attempt to protect her partners during paired battle training sessions. Not only that, but she struggled with fighting other animals aside from cats, and no doubt she wanted to protect others from her brothers own fate. He shook his head, before shooting TImberfall a dark glance, mewing, "Look. She's going to need some room. I do to, and so does Willowpaw, so if you want us to save her, your going to need to step aside." He told the deputy, mind racing on what he should do. He never had to treat an injury this serious before, and Poppysong only went over it with him a few times during his training. The warrior was in pretty rough shape, having multiple bite and scratch wounds, luckily only a few of them deep. Work on the worst ones first. He decided, looking at his apprentice. "Willow paw, do you remember that poultice I showed you how to make? The one for battle wounds? I need you to make that, and then I want you to find the best replacement for Lavender. The cats on this patrol are pretty scared, and there are a few," he mewed, ears flicking towards the entrance, indicating the two toms waiting outside, "Inside the camp that are to. Just give them a small bit of a calming herb. If we have too many anxious cats, we won't get anything done."

Willowpaw nodded and rushed back into the medicine cats den. Quickly making a poultice out of marigold and oak leaves, she brought it straight to Stoneshadow hopping on one front paw due to the other being covered in cobwebs for Iceberrys deepest wounds."Here, and since we're out of lavender I'll just give them chamomile or dandelion leaves. Both are good for calming cats down", she meowed to her mentor making sure he approved of the treatment she was going to hand out.
Timberfall backed away and found himself standing beside Cavegrowl. The two toms could do nothing but wait for the medicine cats to work and heal their beloved clanmates. Timberfall could hear Viperfangs worried meow about what was happening and he thought of the clan. They must be reassured, especially the queen. Looking around Moss-star was no where to be seen and the large brown tom decided to take the matters into his own paws. Turning to Cavegrowl he knew the tom wouldnt leave his spot until he could see Oceanfeather so he didn't bother asking him to move, quite the opposite. "I'm going to address the clan, they must be reassured but if Stoneshadow or Willowpaw need anything or if anything happens with the injured cats I want to know about it." The longhaired charcoal back tom nodded and Timberfall moved away to address the clan. Leaping up onto high ledge he gave a yowl to gather the clan beneath him. "Cats of Tangleclan, I know you must all be worried about what happened on the patrol but let me put your minds at ease. The foxes have been chased out of the territory by Moss-stars patrol, however they did suffer serious injuries. We have two wonderful medicine cats so they are under the best of care. There is no more threat however I would like two set up two sentries to watch over the hollow tonight just in case. And in the morning I will personally lead a strong patrol back out to Hare Meadow to make sure the foxes have left for good." In the back of his mind he was wondering where their leader could possibly be and was angered by her absence, however it made him look good as a deputy and potential leader for the clan.
Fallowleaf waited patiently to be attended to by the medicine cats. Her shoulder ached and she could feel her heart beat pounding in it and she knew that she had to at least have jarred her shoulder. With a jarred shoulder and minor scratches the shecat understood why she was last in line to be taken care of. The other had suffered for serious wounds and needed urgent care, however she did hope that sometime soon she would be able to get something for the pain. In the mean time the she-cat listened as Timberfall addressed the clan glad that someone was taking control of the situation.

"Use the chamomile first. Also, it looks like we have another patient. Can you take care of her first and then see if any cats need calming?" Stoneshadow mewed, nodding his approval at his apprentice. She was good at her herbs, and he trusted the young medicine cat apprentice with healing. He could hear the deputy explaining what had happened, and he sighed, pausing to hear what he had to say. The dark warrior was going to be a great leader, one day. He shook his head, resuming his work on Iceberry, silently cursing Moss-star.

Willowpaw nodded and turned to Fallowleaf. Nosing the she-cat where she lay, the pale grey apprentice was only able to find a couple of scratches. "Is there anything else but these scratches", Willowpaw asked curiously. "Yes, my shoulder. I think I pulled something or jarred it in the battle." As the mottled she-cat spoke to the medicine cat apprentice she cringed in pain and experimentally stretched the limb that hurt. "Alright just relax and let me make sure nothing it out of place. It will hurt a little so brace yourself", Willowpaw meowed and took a paw and gingerly pawed at the warriors shoulder feeling the muscles and the joint area expertly. Pulling her paw away when Fallowleaf had had enough and started to his from the pain she spoke. "Okay it seems like it was over extended and badly bruised. You'll need to stay off of it as much as possible. No more patrols for the next couple of days or atleast until you can put your full weight on it without it hurting. Now let me go get you something for the pain and your scratches." Willowpaw then darted away back into the medicine cats den and found some goldenrod for Fallowleafs shoulder as well as a poultice for her scratches and some poppy seeds for the pain. "Eat these, it should help with the pain", she meowed when she returned to the injured warrior. Giving her the poppyseeds to eat she then chewed up the goldenrod and put it on her shoulder and then tended to her scratches. When she was all done Willowpaw helped Fallowleaf to the warriors den and into her nest so she could sleep. "When you wake in the morning come see me or Stoneshadow if your still in pain", With that said the young shecat left Fallowleaf to dream and went to take care of any other cat that might need her assistance.

{{ Yeah sure thing. How about a one week time skip? That gives the injured cats some time to heal and makes leaf-bare even closer. }} {{ Also now that The Marshlands is up and running both River Crossings will need to be more patrolled due to a lot of cat activity. Those who end up moving to The Marshlands can start to build a relationships with the cats already living there. If you want I can go ahead and build a Border Page for The Marshlands & Tangleclan. }}
Time Skip :: One Week Mid-Late Leaf-fall Just Before Sunrise
Moss-star padded back into the camp with a squirrel in her jaws. It was just before dawn and she had been out all night wandering around the forest. The tabby she-cats paws ached from her wandering and she laid her catch on the fresh-kill pile. Slowly she started for her den to take a nap.
Timberfall was already awake and had just called into the warriors den for them to awaken for patrol assigning. Walking back out he sat down in the middle of the clearing and waited for the others to join him so he could send out some patrols.
Cavegrowl heard Timberfall call for morning patrols and sat up in his nest from within the warriors den. Yawning he quickly started to groom his long furred pelt. He couldn't walk out of the den with his fur sticking out in all directions with moss in random places within his fur.
Fallowleaf was already awake and left her nest when Timberfall came in. Her shoulder had healed nicely within the past week and yesterday Stoneshadow said to come see him today to see if she could be cleared for duty. She had a slight limp and was stiff from sleeping, otherwise her shoulder felt fine and her stratches had long since scabbed over. "Stoneshadow..?", The mottled she-cat called as she stopped at the entrance of the medicine cats den.
Winterpaw could hear the cats in the clan already starting to shuffle around. He hoped that his mentor Sandfall was feeling well cause he couldn't wait to do some training. It wouldn't be long and he would have a warriors assessment. He had fought well in the previous battle with the foxes and knew that it earning him some points but he still had to finish his training. Hopefully it would start to come close to the end.
Viperfang awoke with a sharp pain in her enlarged belly. "Ahhh", she groaned and sat up trying to get comfortable. The kits within her had grown so much and she had thought that it was just a sharp kick from the kits moving within her. However, her thoughts on that changed when the sharp pain came again and rippled through her body. It was time. "Stormgaze!", she called out to her mate. They hadn't really made it official but the queen and tom had been spending every waking moment together and he had been sleeping in the nursery with her so she wouldn't be alone.

FalconwingStormgaze ran to her when he hear her outside the nursery. "The kits are coming Viperfang?!", mewed the gray tom loudly as he stood by the queen's side. "We need a medicine cat! Quick, grab this stick and push through the pain and bite it hard if it hurts!", ordered the gray tom giving her a stick he found by their nest they slept together.

Viperfang didn't bother to take the stick that Stormgaze was trying to give her. "Its okay Stormgaze don't fret. Cause if you start to worry or freak out then I will worry and freak out. Just please go get Stoneshadow or Willowpaw", her voice was strained from the pain but her words were gentle as she spoke to the caring tom.

Stoneshadow had just awoken, checking on the other two warriors currently in his care. They where no longer in danger, but the tom insisted on their staying in the den just a little longer, as fox bites and scratches had the tendency to become infected. He had just finished checking Iceberrys wound- it had become swollen two days after the attack- but the swelling was now nonexistent, and the she cat was well enough for light duties. She should be fine to go on patrols, as long as she didn't run or do any-thing mouse-brained enough to reopen any of her injuries. He twitched his whiskers, feeling a surge of happiness, glad that both she cats where well on the mend, for he honestly wasn't sure what was going to happen. I'll tell the both of them when they wake up. He thought with a purr, before pausing, ears flicking back when he heard a small voice calling his name. The dark medicine cat glanced behind him, seeing Fallowleaf lurking at the front of his den.
"Oh, hi, Fallowleaf! How is your shoulder, I trust that my apprentice has been keeping an eye on it?" He asked, padding forwards in curiosity, a spring in his step, blissfully unaware of what was happening in the nursery.
Iceberry was fast asleep, the young warrior had been up most of the night, talking with Willowpaw most of the night, the usually reserved she cat unusually peppy. She was now in a deep slumber, not even stirring when Stoneshadow checked on her wounds.

"Its great! And yes Willowpaw has been very helpful. I can pretty much put all of my weight on it and after stretching good I'm pretty limber", Fallowleaf meowed happily to the tom when he came to her call. She was glad to be feeling better and was ready to do something. "Am I cleared for patrols? My paws are itching to get back out into the forest", she added hoping for a positive response.
As the cats took their time to get up for the patrols Timberfall took the opportunity to go visit Iceberry in the medicine cats den and bring her a squirrel. Quickly he picked up the fresh squirrel that Moss-star had caught not too long ago the large tom padded swiftly to where Iceberry lay. He nodded to Stoneshadow and Fallowleaf as he passed them and squeezed inside of the large cave-like den. He easily found the white she-cat still curled up in her nest sleeping. Not really wanting to wake her, Timberfall set the prey down beside her nest and gave her a sniff before turning around and starting to head back out.

After a quick look at the she cats shoulder, he nodded. "Yes, but don't overexert yourself, alright? If your shoulders' starting to hurt, don't try to push through the pain." He told her, flicking his ear in approval and nodding to Timberfall. He was glad that all of the cats wounded from the patrol had healed nicely, given that they could be in much worse condition.
Iceberry stirred at the scent of the squirrel, yawning as she noticed Timberfall leaving the den. "Timber fall?" She asked, sitting up and shaking her head as if in an attempt to wake herself up. The warrior sniffed the squirrel, before taking a quick bite out of it, scenting Timberfall on the squirrel. He must have gotten it for her. The deputy had been checking in on her almost daily, something that touched the pale she cat.

"I promise not to do anything too vigorous that will cause my shoulder to hurt", Fallowleaf meowed excited that she was given the all clear. "Thank you Stoneshadow, you and Willowpaw have my deepest gratitude. If you need anything don't be afraid to ask", and with that said the longhaired mottled she-cat turned around and moved swiftly across the clearing to get a bite to eat before she went on patrol.
"I didn't mean to wake you", Timberfall meowed turning around when he heard Iceberry's voice call his name. "How are you feeling?", the large tom asked as he moved back to her side and sat down infront of her.

"Thank you", The large brown tom meowed and took a bite for himself before pushing the squirrel back to Iceberry. "There are two kits going to be apprenticed today at sunhigh, Redkit and Jackdawkit", he imformed the she-cat. "Will you be well enough to attend? Moss-star is... not feeling well.. and she is having me preform the ceremony." Timberfall was excited to be able to preform the ceremony. It would make him look more as the leader of the clan and it would look good when he eventually took over the clan.

Timberfall was hoping for more of an excited response but he knew of the she-cats views and he respected them. "Well be sure to ask him before sunhigh", the tom meowed as he stood up. "I have to go assign the patrols for dawn but I will come see you after the ceremony okay?", he said sweetly as he took a step towards the entrance of the den.
