Which one are/were you the most excited for? As excited as I am for Star, I was more excited for a Light in the Mist.

Even though ALiTM was good, I wasn’t exited for it.
AVoS had such a disappointing second half, I was worried it would be the same for TBC. But also I can't really stand BrambleSquirrel & I knew they'd be important in the book so in my head I was just going idgaf
I’m excited for Star though, I really like Frostpaw, she’s probably my favorite protagonist since Twigbranch but I think I even like her a bit more than Twigbranch.

Pretty excited for Star ngl. Love my girl Frostpaw a lot and am curious to see how her journey in this arc will end (hopefully with her as leader of RiverClan or at least deputy).
I was very hyped for ALitM back when the spoiler thread dropped on here in 2021 (even though I did not properly read the book until January of last year, when I finally read TBC in full for the first time).
Would say it's a tie/equal amount but since there's no option for that (which I understand) I'm going with ALitM tbh. I was just very much looking forward to seeing Ashfur get yeeted out of existence back then and the finale certainly delivered on that while also ripping my heart out about Bristlefrost.

So much of the arc hinges on the last book. I really hope they stick the landing with this upcoming title.

I wasn’t reading Warriors yet when ALITM came out, so I have to say Star.

I haven't kept up with the series in so long that the only final book I remember the hype for, and that I was so excited to get the hardcover edition of, was The Last Hope. We all thought it would be the grand finale to the entire series... lol. lmao even

I wasn’t reading Warriors yet when ALITM came out, so I have to say Star. I’ve been here on this site since just prior to The Place of No Stars’s release but I got into the series before Veil of Shadows released. A Starless Clan was/will be my first full arc where I was there for all six book releases, one at a time. To the topic of this thread, Star is the one I’m excited for. I loved the spiritual stuff of The Broken Code, but this arc was more or less much better excuted than The Broken Code.

Wind was okay. But I'm getting tired of Splashtail already.

Excited for Star. ASC is prob the only arc I've been waiting for the books to release. I started reading back in 2020, but kinda lost interest for a while when TBC was going then got back in when ASC started sooooo yeah

Ngl. I genuinely lost most of my interest in TBC after Veil of Shadows. And kept reading them to see whatever janky, absurd tomfoolery they’d produce. Star is probably the first finale I’ve been ecstatic for since TLH to be perfectly honest.

I hated TBC, so Star is definitely the winner for me.

Definitely ALITM, I was fully onboard with the hype cycle during pretty much all of TBC and I was excited to see arcs get resolved and see Ashfur finally take the consequences for his actions. All the info we were getting at the time like the involvement of dark forest cats, the prospect of the code being changed, some of the earlier rumours about characters dying (I remember misreading a tumblr post and getting the false impression that ROOTSPRING was getting killed off if you can believe it), etc. just made me more and more excited to see the carnage. IIRC Snowtuft dying unceremoniously was in the preview chapters and like, I love Snowtuft but even that wasn't enough to "unhype" me. It paid off; ALITM is exactly the final book I expected it to be, cheesy nostalgia bait and all. So I left full and happy after having my "cheeseburger" (heh).
Star I'm definitely really excited for, but I think the pace of the hype cycle feels a little more chill in ASC's case as opposed to TBC's. TBC felt like an unstoppable camp-horror-mystery train racing forward down the tracks with each release and bit of speculation. ASC's pace feels a little more relaxed. Maybe that's just because I'm watching less fan content, don't tune in to moonkitti videos or anything as often, etc. but ASC feels a little more unfocused plotwise and feels like it's really finding its balance currently in the latter half of the arc (TBC is the opposite where it felt like Rootspring and Bristlefrost's arcs got a bit "distracted" in the middle despite starting out with strong ties to the main conflict via the ghost stuff and living under ashfur's rule respectfully. ghost bramble became less relevant and ashfur got moved into shadowclan. But overall the differing perspectives felt a tad more unified in their main focus.)
It's like, a matter of being "counting down the days" excited vs "this will probably be really cool when it comes out" excited. ALITM was more the former, Star the latter.

I'm excited for Star no doubt, but the hype for A Light in the Mist was super high, especially after the blurb first released.

100% ALITM. I was way more hyped for TBC in general. I'm still excited for Star(especially to see how Frostpaw's arc ends), but yeah, my excitement for ASC def isn't in the same league as my excitement for TBC was, and I actually think that's partly because I got hype burnout after TBC lol
