Opinions? Personally, I really tend to hyperfixate on things I’m excited about and will check the progress of an item being shipped (if the place has something like that) multiple times an hour for a few days.
Also, it makes me sad when things take longer than a week to ship, like if it’s across the ocean or something.

I've got 2 items coming from different countries right now, and I manage to keep the tracking checks to once a day (one has been "stuck" in Pennsylvania since the 27th and it is driving me crazy because I only live 2 states over). When I first started my collection, tracking for most of my stuff was nonexistent, so I would basically stalk the mailman when I knew something was coming (and by stalk, I mean stare out my front window a bunch until I saw/heard the truck) and get super excited whenever I saw him put a package in the mailbox or start heading to the front door.
Once I had UPS and Fed Ex pull up to my house at the same time. I'll always regret that I wasn't able to get a picture of it.

Now if that ever happens to me, I’ll make sure to get a picture. edit: did they acknowledge each other in any way?

I love knowing something is coming in the mail. It makes me very excited, and I love checking on the updates to see where it is. It makes me disappointed though whenever it gets unexpectedly delayed or takes longer than I thought it would to get here. But when it does, it’s all worth it

I don't have really strong opinions on shipping, but I will say that as much as I despise Amazon, it's amazing that they can ship things to you in 1-2 days. oh? what did amazon do to u lol

i assume their sketchy connections and unethical business practices oh?!? care to elaborate? yeah i'll add more info when I get a chance! but off the top of my head: - project nimbus - union busting - safety precautions and safeguards being disregarded for the sake of cutting corners (this i'm not sure if there's a lot of info on online, it was something that my sister faced a lot when she worked for amazon tho) there's probably more i'm forgetting

Also, massive corporations like Amazon outcompete small, family-owned businesses

aside from billionaires needing to eat shit, amazon also has low minimum standards of quality for products sold in my experience. unfortunately though its often the most convenient method of getting a product, though specialty stores/websites usually have better quality

Oh and, the fact that literally anyone can sell basically anything on Amazon. There’s so many AI books being sold there and other places, and ripoffs of things made by small businesses.
