Leaf nodded. "I'll be the bait, you better have my back" she hissed, padding slowly out of their hiding place, faking a limp. She limped over to the waters edge and lapped up a few licks of cold water. Her ears were angled downward, back paw raised to her side in a slight limp. She knew she had caught the hawk's attention, it was perched on a branch, the fish she couldn't see, but she felt it's eyes watching her.

Moss watched in horror as Leaf lapped up the water before immediately turning in her brother's direction. She looked like she wanted to tell him something, but instead she snapped back around and focused all of her attention on to the hawk.
Rock stared at the hawk, it was on a low enough branch for him to maybe catch a few tail feathers, but not enough for him to do as much damage as he'd like. He let out a soft hiss of annoyance as he crept around the tree so he could surprise the hawk as soon as it made any attempt to go for Leaf.

Leaf waited, lapping at the water again. She noticed the shift of its talons and the dip of its body before it swooped down for her. She slipped to the side, sprinted, low to the ground, out of its reach, though it's talons grazed her tail.

Moss let out a small squeak in fear, her fur standing up as she watch her friend narrowly escape the hawk's talons.
Rock immediately bolted after the hawk and leaped onto its back, racking his claws down its back and trying to bite at it through it's thick feathers. The hawk let out a startled cry and started flapping its wings in an attempt to fly away. He let out a hiss in pain as the hawk managed to shake him off.

When the hawk managed to throw Rock off, Leaf leapt up onto the the hawk, digging to claws in to catch hold of anything besides feathers and air. Then, she made contact with the flesh and dug her claws in, the hawk letting out an angry screech. It shook and thrusts its wings forcefully, but shee was dragging it down slightly. "Rock, I'm going for the left wing, you get the right!" She called, not able to look at Moss who was cowering in the bushes. She leapt at the left wing, struggling to hold on, and bit down hard, the feathers making her mouth dry.

Moss silently cursed at herself for being so useless in the fight, but she trusted her tribemates to be safe.
Rock barely nodded at Leaf before he was on top of the hawk's right wing and managed to sink his teeth into it's flesh and raked his back claws down while using his front paws to help him keep balance.

The hawk let out screeches of agony and anger as both Rock and Leaf's teeth met flesh and their weight dragged the hawk down to the floor, wings thrashing. She held the wing best she could to the ground and called, "Moss, bite the neck. Hunting's our specialty, help finish this thing off." She ended with a his as the hawk continued to thrash in a desperate attempt to throw them off. She bent down again, sinking her sharp teeth into the wing to prossibly get it to give up.

Though Moss was trembling with fear, she raced over to the trapped bird and quickly bit the hawk's neck, breaking it instantly. She let out a shaky breath as she let go of the hawk and backed up to look at it, "I-I think we've done good for one hunting patrol," she squeaked, unable to look in Rock of Leaf's direction.
Rock nodded towards Leaf, "Good work, Leaf. I thought I was fresh-kill for a moment," he joked lightly before he hopped off of the hawk.

Leaf let go of the hawk's wing and got off, shaking out her fur. "Alright, let's head back to camp." She agreed.
