Pheasantpaw telling a story to Hawkheart!" Hawkheart! Wanna hear what happened on my first hunting trip?!" PHEASANTPAW asked him on afternoon. Hawkheart smiled at the apprentice whom he had taken a liking to and said- " Of course i would!" And settled down next to the young cat and looked at her expectantly. Tagging- boragesky

Dogkit
Heat exhaustion: Hatchhusk (mentioned) - asrise Kitepaw - open
This is so dumb.
Dogkit pants from the little corner in the med cat den, the sticky heat rolling over her puffed out fur.
She's soooo bored. And very annoyed. She's been snapping at people and rolling her eyes and being very very rude and she knows this. The molly can't help it- and other people are being so…soo…ugh! Despite Quickshade always leaving her to tend to other people- everyones all over her all the time! Dogkit wishes they’d leave her alone, just for 5 minutes! Hatchhusk is probably the worst for it- but even the apprentices! She sticks her tongue out at an approaching Kitepaw- she's simply not in the mood! She was so excited to finally make it out of the nursery and she got sick! Dogkit buries her nose in her paws, it's so embarrassing.
OOC: Poor dear huh? Short cause,,, well shes supposed to be resting

Auburncreek Finds Kittypet on Patrol {--} with Fawnstar & Stargazer Auburncreek, she couldn’t lie, felt betrayed. Defeated. Long had she waited, sitting at the ceremony in which the many kits were graduating from the nursery. Each she watched, sitting patiently. It was finally her turn to be a mentor. If the youngest warrior, Blizzardwing had an apprentice, surely her own mother Fawnstar would believe she would have one. One by one they became apprentices. Auburncreek even cheered loudly at her sister Forestfreckle becoming a mentor to Fallowpaw. Then it was the last apprentice. The names went on for the many mentors; Golddusk, Duststep, Lilacshade, Rindlestripe, Duskfeather. However, two, two of these mentors made her fur bristle. Seeing Wildclove becoming a mentor made her fury bright. Auburncreek has spent longer in Plumclan than Wildclove ever has! Never the less, she had Plumclan blood in her veins, she had Fawnstar’s blood! Then she calmed herself down. Her mother was saving her for last. The last apprentice stood forward, accepting their apprentice name. She hissed in annoyance when Cloverfur was called forward. He’s had so many apprentices, I can barely count! She unsheathed her claws. She looked to her mother, her gaze unwavering. She was more than ready to be a mentor. She was better than Wildclove, better than any other warrior! It wasn’t fair!
It was a couple days after. Auburncreek almost growled when her mother took her on a patrol. Along with the newcomer, Stargazer. Auburncreek barely recognized her clan anymore. All she saw was lowly rogues and loners. All stalking around her camp as if they owned it. Please! They didn’t even have the heart of a warrior! Auburncreek followed her mother, growling under her breath. So many questions raced in her head. Didn’t she think she was good enough to be a mentor? She was more than good enough. Her own mother chose Wildclove over her to be a mentor. Didn’t Fawnstar trust her? “Don’t you trust me enough to be a mentor?—” She was about to hiss to Fawnstar when they were interrupted. A plump kittypet stood in front of them. She looked to Fawnstar, “In the name of Starclan, we are not accepting any more kittypet members!” She growled, flexing her claws. Yet, all the Plumclan leader did was tell them to push the kittypet back to his nest. He is on Plumclan territory! Doesn’t she understand how much real Plumclan blood is being lost? The patrol managed to push the kittypet back to their nest, before Auburncreek hissed out of annoyance and slashed him over the nose with her claws, showing soft kittypet blood slashed over their muzzle. “Teach you before entering Plumclan again!” She turned around, her tail flicking in anger. She ignored the gazes from the rest of the patrol and headed back to the camp. Could she trust any cat in her clan anymore? It felt like her kin didn’t even trust her enough. Not enough to train an apprentice, apparently. She growled under her breath.

Pineconepaw
⸙ becomes Duststep's apprentice ⸙ twists her paw on first day out ᓚᘏᗢ - Alone but thinking about Duststep
Pineconepaw laid grumbling in her nest, unable to catch a single blink of sleep.
"I just became an apprentice and now I'm nest-bound!" She swiped the moss with her paw and continued grumbling to herself.
She couldn't stop thinking about how embarrassed she was.
"My first day of apprenticeship and I twist my stupid paw." The brown she-kit covered her eyes a bit dramatically with despair. She was nursing her ego more so than her injury.
"Way to look like a foolish kit in front of Duststep." Pineconepaw was incredibly eager and delighted to have Duststep as her mentor; she respected the molly immensely. The little brown apprentice could not relate with her mentor's quiet nature but she could relate to how she used her mind over her matter.
The day had barely broke when she lept in the air excitedly, landing wrong on her paw and twisting it. Lept in the air, twisting her paw. Lept in the air, twisting her paw. Lept in the air, twisting her paw. Lept in the air, twisting her paw.
"Grrrr, I just want to stop thinking about it." Pineconepaw sighed and pretended to be dead by herself in her nest. The poor thing did not have the training day she had hoped for.
((OOC: poor girl, all she has wanted is to be an apprentice LOL))

feathersong mentions: Dogkit, Bumblepaw, DuststepThe multicolored she-cat smiled to herself as she watched the kits' ceremonies. Bumblepaw's pride stuck out to her, warming her heart. It reminded her of the day she had joined the Clan, ensuring the future of her kits and herself. This was a happy day for PlumClan. After the ceremony, she rose to her paws and waited in the small line of cats to touch noses with the brand new apprentice. As she did so, she murmured, "Show those other apprentices who's boss," with a humorous wink.
Feathersong had been assigned to patrol the borders with Duststep. Okay, she thought, I guess she'll teach me where this supposed border is? the last time Feathersong had left the camp, her official border tour had been cut short by BurdockClan's attack. Now that was over, and Feathersong was healthy again, aside from a thin scar over her toe. She hadn't had much interaction with Duststep, but she knew she was an interesting character to say the least. Feathersong sighed and left with Duststep on patrol. "The weather looks awful... I smell rain," she complained to the grey she-cat. "Do you think we should go back?"After the decision had been made, Feathersong piped up again. "I think I'll walk to camp by myself. I'm sure I know the way," she stated confidently, although she really just wanted some time alone. The agouti she-cat turned and began to trot back to camp. Somewhere along the way, her route was altered and she found herself near a beautiful rolling meadow with a strange scent coming from behind a lone tree. She narrowed her eyes, attempting to peer across the lengths of tall grass. Nothing. The air was rancid. It was intriguing, and overpowering. She had to get to the bottom of this. Feathersong slipped out of the forest brush, the evening rays blazing down and warming her back. She had only made it a few pawsteps before - wham! - a thick-furred stranger sent her crashing to the ground. "What are you doing on FlowerClan territory? Explain yourself!" came an angry she-cats voice from further away. Feathersong couldn't think of anything to say, the only thing on her mind was the searing pain in her ear. She felt warm blood trickle down and seep into her fur. I just got out of camp... They're going to lock me up in the elder's den after this one... she hissed to herself and pushed up with her paws, succeeding in throwing the thick-furred tom who had attacked her off balance. "Ow! Was that necessary?" Feathersong hissed in pain as the thin flesh of her ear ripped apart in his teeth. She'd thrown him off, but he'd taken her ear with her... Luckily a PlumClan member was not far off and heard her cry of pain and ran over. Feathersong, the enemy apprentice, and the strange warrior were staring each other down, ears pinned and fur bristling, but the emergence of her Clanmate from the brush gave her enough time to turn tail and begin racing back to camp with her teeth bared. The breeze stung the open wound as she ran, but she'd had worse things happen to heer. For now, she was annoyed. She made her way to the medicine cat den. "I'm really sorry, but..." she began, glancing around before trailing off. Nowhere to be seen! Feathersong glanced down at Dogkit, panting from the heat. "Oh, you poor thing..." she meowed, sitting down beside him. Feathersong must have scared him with her bloody ear, though, because he ran off and tripped over her tail as he did so. The she-cat sighed in dejection and shook her head, rising to her paws. Her ear would be fine. She didn't need to get it checked... She could just go lie down in solitude.

STORK / STORKLEG [ PlumClan Warrior. ] " Small pleasures, Small pleasures, who would deny us these? " (It's A Fine Life from Oliver!)
The wood hurt as it fell.
She hissed in pain.
Her thoughts weren't proper at all.
Stork turned her head to see that the wood fell hard enough, and enough wood fell, to cause her leg to be mangled. Stork looked around, desperate for help. She then focused her eyes on two cats. Has help arrived? Her eyes glanced around worryingly as she looked at the cats. There was an older cat and a younger cat. The younger cat looked like around half a year old, but she wasn't sure about the older cat.
Stork looked at the older cat with a pleading look, and watched as the cat sighed and began assisting her. He clearly looked exhausted, and Stork felt worried about if she was causing more stress. Once she was moved out, and was being assisted to camp, the small apprentice started talking.
"What's your name?" the gray apprentice asked. Stork turned her head and let out a response in a weak tone: "...Stork."
***
It has now been a few days, and Stork was now officially a member of PlumClan, by the name of Storkleg. She chose the name. Storkleg laid down as the 3 medicine cats inspected her leg. How many healers does this clan have...? the molly thought, looking at each of them.

Golddusk- Training with Bristlepaw
Golddusk had decided to take his new apprentice out on a border patrol today. Since his apprentice had just started training today, he decided it would be best if Bristlepaw had become more familiar with the rest of Plumclan territory first before any hunting or battle training. More specifically, he wanted Bristlepaw to learn more about one of the animals he will be frequently encountering on patrols: goats. The two of them were on a hill overlooking the goat pen. “You see those animals?” Golddusk asked his apprentice, flicking his tail in the direction of the goat pen. Bristlepaw nodded his head. “Those animals are called goats. They’re big but they’re not too unfriendly so long as you’re careful. However, the twolegs that live here don’t like it when we get too close to them. This goes too for all of the animals that live on the twoleg farm, not just the goats. It’s best to keep our distance and avoid all of the animals we see on that farm.” Golddusk explained to his apprentice. Golddusk and his apprentice then watched as some of the goats started climbing onto the roof of their enclosure. The sight of the goats climbing never fail to both amuse and amaze Golddusk. If he didn’t know any better, he would had never expect an animal as large and awkward as the goat to climb just as gracefully as any cats that could climb a tree.

Duststep
Border patrol with Feathersong
Feathersong wasn't Duststep's first pick of patrolmate. She knew the grey molly didn't like her, and didn't blame her; but since that awful night a season ago Duststep had felt Feathersong's gaze boring coldly into her whenever she was around. A gaze she couldn't bring herself to meet, she thought, turning her gaze away from Feathersong as the two walked away from the camp to embark on their patrol. Even without that, though, she got the feeling Feathersong would never like her. She had seen her around the camp getting close with Leopardcry recently, had her former mentor been sharing embarrassing gossip from Duststep's apprenticeship?
You know what? That's fine. I don't have to care what she thinks of me. I don't like her that much either. She knew, logically, she could never get every cat she met to like her; Feathersong was just one of those cats who fell through the cracks. She just wished Duskfeather wouldn't exacerbate the issue by assigning them to patrols together. What was he hoping to accomplish, to get them to like eachother? It certainly wasn't a productive patrol, because she was pretty sure Feathersong didn't even know Plumclan's borders that well. Ugh, am I going to have to show her where the borders are? She would rather be teaching that to her new apprentice... if she hadn't gone and twisted her leg the very first day. She was disappointed, of course, but knew it wasn't Pineconepaw's fault. Besides, it wasn't the worst thing that had happened to her on day one of being a mentor... Either way, now that she knew she would have an apprentice she could use the time Pineconepaw was healing to figure out in advance what she would teach her.
Speaking of productive patrols... She looked up at the sky, scrunching up her nose in frustration as she noticed the dark clouds rolling and rumbling overhead. Smells like storms. I can barely see my own shadow. "The weather looks awful... I smell rain. Do you think we should go back?" Feathersong asked. "Probably... We're not going to be able to get a good border patrol done if we can't smell the scent borders," Duststep replied, nodding.
"I think I'll walk to camp by myself. I'm sure I know the way," Feathersong said in return. Duststep was pretty sure her clanmate was just saying that to get away from her. Come on, am I that hard to be around? She could at least try to stick it out. Huffing quietly in embarrassment at the impression of rejection, she turned around back in the direction the two had come from and trodded away, glancing again over her shoulder at Feathersong as they parted ways; Why is she going north? Is she going the long way or something? she wondered. Well, no matter. If she gets lost it's not my fault.
Tagging: Fawn (Feathersong) Is asked for advice by Pheasantpaw
By the camp's doorway, Duststep lounged in the sunlight, grooming her wiry fur. From time to time, she glanced up at the medicine den, hoping Pineconepaw's injury would heal soon so her training could start. I hope she's excited to start; she sure seemed like she was at the ceremony. I know I was when I became an apprentice. In the meantime, she'd told her that as her first task she could help the medicine cats arrange the herbs in the den, if she felt up to it, of course. "Duststep?" When she looked up again, it was to the sight of a different apprentice standing right in front of her. So many had been named this past moon it took her a moment to remember Pheasantpaw's name. "Do you have advice for me? It's only been a few hours and... I've already accidentally disturbed some cats... some by accident. How can I try to repair what I've done, if it is repairable?" Oh, yes; now she remembered hearing Pheasantpaw snap at Lilacshade this morning, and guessed that that was what this was about, at least in part. She thought for a moment before replying, "I'm sure it's repairable. If it was just by accident, they'll either find it in their hearts to forgive you, or they're the type of cat who'd hold a grudge over being disturbed by accident, and in that case they're not the kind of cat you want to be close with anyway. But in the meantime, just... try to understand how they're feeling, and think about how you'd want them to make it up to you if they disturbed you." She smiled at Pheasantpaw, hoping she would find her words helpful and internally flattered that she was who the apprentice had come to for advice. Cloverfur Get's Pheasantpaw as an apprentice & Hunting Patrol || with Pheasantpaw His kits were becoming apprentices! His kits. The kits standing up were his, his and Leopardcry's. The golden queen was sitting beside the kits now, the ones he had fathered and the ones she had adopted. All eight kits, sitting around waiting to be called. Fawnstar was sure to give all the younger warriors apprentices, as well as some of the senior warriors.
Marshkit was called first, getting Duskfeather as her mentor. Then Blazekit, Fallowkit and Bumblekit were called, gaining the mentors Rindlestripe, Forestfreckle, and Lilacshade respectively. Then it was the adopted litter of three's turn, Pineconekit, Bristlekit, and Pheasantkit.
Was he was not expecting was for his name to be called. Again. Pheasantkit was called last, gaining the name Peasantpaw. And her mentor was Cloverfur. Him. Cloverfur. This is my fourth apprentice! Cloverfur had never expected to have this many, but he strode up and touched noses with the young brown she-cat. He did enjoy being a mentor, he really did. It was one of his favorite things about being a warrior! But Auburncreek didn't get an apprentice, while Forestfreckle did. Couldn't Fawnstar give her an apprentice instead of me?
Glancing at Auburncreek, Cloverfur inwardly winced. She looked furious. Sorry Auburncreek, maybe next time. "Congratulations Pheasantpaw! Are you excited to finally leave camp?"
The day had been extremely windy, but it could be a good learning expiriance. They could work on hunting and scenting, and if Pheasantpaw caught anything that would be a win in the books. "Time to go!" He mewed, trotting out of the camp entrance.
They traveled far enough away from camp so they could find any prey, and they worked on the hunters crouch for a bit. It wasn't perfect, but Cloverfur thought they should try it on real prey so they could work out the kinks next time.
Vole! Cloverfur scented it, and he turned to Pheasantpaw, who had also seemed to scent the animal. She glanced at Cloverfur, and he nodded. Let's see what she can do.
Pheasantpaw crouched down into the crouch, stalking forward. She waggled her haunches just a little too much, alerting the vole of her presence, but she leaped just in time and caught it anyways. "Great job Pheasantpaw! Do you want to head back to camp and give your catch to Willowmouse?" [[ at this point he should have the great teacher trait lol ]]

Stargazer Hears from Blizzardwing that Mari was found by YewClan, but is now dead (+) & Border Patrol || Fawnstar, Auburncreek Mari was gone. Dead. Stargazer had known that Mari had been very sick, but so had she. YewClan. After she had recovered she had been taken on a patrol of the territory, learning of the other three clans. YewClan's name had come up, but they hadn't dwelled on it. Now she wanted to know everything about that clan. Mari had been there. YewClan had found Mari much like PlumClan had found her, but they must have not cared for her was. Mari is dead.
At least the kits were okay. They had been named Dogkit, Jumpkit, and Bugkit by the clan, and she had not been an active role in their life yet. Blizzardwing, who was the cat who had told her about Mari, had adopted them and taken them on as her own. Stargazer was fine with that, but she still wanted to play a role in their lives. Stargazer had known their parent, had been there when they were born. She didn't want to be forgotten. "Thank you Blizzardwing, for letting me know."
Turning her head Stargazer noticed Fawnstar and Auburncreek waiting for her at the camp entrance. Right! Racing over to the patrol, she dipped her head to each member in turn. "Sorry!" The cinnamon molly was still getting used to all the patrols and responsibilities that came with being a warrior, but she was slowly getting used to it. Slowly getting used to the borders and the rules. There are so many rules!
The wind was harsh today, and Stargazer shivered slightly under her thick fur. Usually when it was cold or windy like this she would just stay inside her den, snuggled up against Mari's thick fur. But I'm a warrior now! I have responsibilities.
A flash of brown fur apearred in her vision, than vanished. It was then she heard the pawsteps, clumsy. Her stalk had gotten better over the last two moons, but she bet she sounded like that when she had started. So that much mean... it's a kittypet! Maybe I know them....
The cat appeared again, charging at Fawnstar. She easily sidestepped him, the leader's gaze turning to her and Auburnpath. "Auburncreek, Stargazer, flank him. He may need help getting back home.”
Nodding, Stargazer took the right side, while Auburncreek took the left. The tom's face tugged at something in her memory, because she was sure she knew this cat....
It was all too soon they reached his twoleg nest, and Stargazer backed away. She expected Auburncreek to as well, but instead the molly slices a claw over his nose, leaving a gash and the kittypet running into his yard, diving into a bush. Stargazer herself stumbled back slightly, shocked and a little scared. "Was that really necessary? He was leaving!" Stargazer mewed, her tail lashing slightly. Why is she so fierce? Is that how a warrior is supposed to act? [[ I can totally see Stargazer and Wildclove being really good friends ]]

Forestfreckle .*❁ ________________________________________________________________________________________________* Went for a long walk in the morning, deep in thought * Is hoping Quickshade has more time to tell her stories now that she's retired * Gets Fallowpaw as an apprentice * Teaches Fallowpaw how to hunt rabbits Forestfreckle was a morning cat, and at the crack of dawn, she headed out of camp for a stroll. Walking was her peace, and after moons of stress and war, she needed it. As she walked she began her usual counting, remembering and insecurely mulling over every event that had happened since she became a warrior. Perhaps today would provide a good memory?
Five moons ago, I became a warrior early! ...
Forestfreckle walked on.
As Forestfreckle finished her ritual, she lingered on thoughts about Quickshade's recent retirement. Forestfreckle knew that the medicine cat's retirement was well earned. Quickshade had certainly seen pleanty over her many moons as medicine cat. Forestfreckle was certain she was full of stories, and Forestfreckle was sure that they were probably stories that she would appreciate hearing. Perhaps now that Quickshade was retired, she would have more time to tell stories? Forestfreckle would make sure to stop by the elder's den later to find out.
Later that day, and long after Forestfreckle returned to camp, a clan meeting was called to address the numerous kits in the clan in need of apprenticeship. Forestfreckle puffed with excitedment, eyes wide, and jabbed her sister Auburncreek in the side. "Today is for us! We're plenty ready to take on mentorship! Wouldn't it be lovely if Fawnstar would give us two of the group of siblings? We could train them together!"
After a moment with Auburncreek, the ginger and gray she-cat settled in for the ceremony. There were so many kits to be named! Eight to be exact! Forestfreckle was sure she would be chosen. First up was Pumpkinpaw, and Forestfreckle listened eagerly as her mother went through the kit's ceremony. Pumpkinpaw was given to Wildclove, and then Marshpaw to Duskfeather. Next was Blazepaw, who was given to Rindlestripe, and then Fallowpaw was fourth. Forestfreckle held her breath and took in the kit's beautiful coat. Although, dilute, Fallowkit had a very unique tortoiseshell pelt, much like her own.
We would make such a cute pair! Forestfreckle thought, and bumped Auburncreek again with her elbow. "Two torties to take on Burdockclan?" She whispered.
Much to the she-cat's amazement, Forestfreckle's name was called shortly after, and Auburncreek cheered in support. Forestfreckle smiled, but hesitated. She looked over to her sister, confidence draining.
"I don't know if I'm ready for the responsibility of an apprentice!" She hissed under her breath. However, she pushed on and padded forward anyways, stopping to stand over the puffed up, trembling kit. Memories of her own ceremony brought peace back into Forestfreckle's mind. She remembered touching noses with Golddusk, who had been a younger warrior at the time as well. Surely Fallowpaw would have just as much confidence in her as the young Forestpaw had had in Golddusk. Forestfreckle leaned down to gently touch noses with the creamy apprentice, but Fallowpaw had other ideas. Forestfreckle let out a small gasp as Fallowpaw eagerly bashed into her nose, but quickly let her surprise turn into laughter. This would be fun!
To Forestfreckle's horror, Auburncreek did not receive an apprentice. Was Fawnstar trying to drive them apart? The she-cat fought to return to her sister after the ceremony, but the new mentors were encouraged to leave right away to begin training their apprentices. With a sorrowful look cast back at Auburncreek, Forestfreckle beckoned Fallowpaw with her tail and headed out of camp.
With so many new apprentices, it would be senseless to take Fallowpaw on the same basic territory tour that every other apprentice was likely getting. Apprentices learned more when they had things to share and teach other apprentices. Being a good student was as much listening as it was teaching others what one has learned. Forestfreckle decided she would take Fallowpaw hunting, and they headed to the Farmhouse.
"Today I am going to teach you how to hunt Rabbits," Forestfreckle began as they reached the Farmhouse garden where rabbits could often be found. "I don't expect you to catch anything today, so focus more on the techniques I teach you. They will be applicable to rabbits as well as other fast prey, such as ground birds. While we practice, we also need to keep an eye out for twolegs! Let me know if you see or hear anything suspicious!"
Forestfreckle then dove in to how exactly one chases and zigzag's after rabbits. She demonstrated a chase using a squash as an example, and then let Fallowpaw loose in the garden. She enjoyed watching Fallowpaw give chase until her legs gave out, and then they returned to camp for the evening. They didn't catch anything, but Forestfreckle was sure Fallowpaw had learned and had a good time.

Blazepaw Apprentice Ceremony, receives juniper sprout, Training patrol || with Rindlestripe Blazekit's nerves were on end. It was the day he was to become an apprentice, and he was nothing but a ball of worry. He would have to go up in front of the entire clan, they would all see him, see the coward he was. I should just stay into the nursery with Leopardcry. That sounds like a good plan.
But it wasn't to be. The meeting was called, and his litter was call forward. Thankfully, Blazekit didn't get called first. Pumpkinpaw was, but she didn't seem nervous. She seemed excited, bouncing on her paws. Her mentor was Wildclove. Blazekit exhaled. I hope I don't get Fawnstar! If his mentor was Fawnstar, every cat would think he would do really well because his mentor was the leader, and he didn't want to embarress his clan when he failed.
Now it was his turn. Blazekit was called and given the name Blazepaw. His nerves sqirmed, and he was afraid that he was going to throw up in front of the entire clan! Keeping it down, Blazepaw turned to Rindlestripe, who was named his mentor. He quivered as he touched noses with the large brown-and-white cat, and he was thankful when Fallowkit was called, the clans eyes turning to her instead of him.
After the ceremony Jamilah, one of the medicine cats, pulled him aside. "Your going to do a great job as an apprentice Blazepaw, don't worry. Here, take this." The medicine molly leaned down and picked up a stalk, which Blazepaw realized she had carried with her over to him, and tucked it behind his ear. "For luck." She mewed, then padded away. Blazepaw grinned. He had never received a present from any cat before, something that was for him, and him only. He stopped grinning when he saw Bumblepaw eyes on him, burning with jealousy. Blazepaw ducked his head, deciding to be selfish just this once. This is something I want to keep.
If was his first day out of camp, and Blazepaw was thankful that he was away from the entire clan, away from all those watching eyes, but also nervous to be under the audience of just Rindlestripe. The warrior was well respected, being one of the oldest in the clan. I hope I don't let him down...
They reached the training hollow when Rindlstripe delivered the bad news. They were going to do battle training.
"No! Can we um.. please not? I-I don't want to..." Blazepaw exclaimed. Battle training?! First?! How would he cope?! Why couldn't they just tour the territory or hunting training? Learning a crouch couldn't be as bad as trying to battle his mentor! Blazepaw was sure to fail at that, and Rindlestripe would probably think he was a lost cause.
"Come on Blazepaw, you got this. I don't expect you to get it on the first try, that's why you don't go from kit to warrior. I expect you to fail sometimes, because failing just makes you getter."
Blazepaw paused. What..? Was Rindlestripe telling him to fail? More like it's okay to fail. "Um... okay? I guess maybe I can give it a try." He mewed reluctantly. He was still very nervous, but maybe it would be okay? I bet Marshpaw and Fallowpaw are doing way better right now! I bet their not scared of failing their mentors. [[ OOC here ]]

Leopardcry Alone on Patrol {--} with n/a Leopardcry enjoyed the peace and quiet. 6 moons had this molly been in the nursery, raising and feeding her life and joys, her precious kits. Now all 5 of them, and 3 of her adopted litter had became apprentices. It overjoyed her to see them so grown up, going on patrols and serving their clan. Soon, they would be loyal warriors to the code. Something Leopardcry knew her kits would know from her. Blizzardwing, her oldest kit, was in the nursery now with the new litter; Dogkit, Larchkit and Bugkit. If Blizzardwing took anything from Leopardcry, it was being a great mother. For her kits, they never wanted to leave her side. She knew they would stay by her until she joined Silverpelt.
Now, she was on a patrol by her self. Something she had requested Duskfeather for. A simple, quiet hunting patrol. A soft, flicking noise came from nearby. A robin, picking at some worms in the ground. Leopardcry stalked ahead making sure to keep low and have her tail off the ground. For cats like Leopardcry, it was hard to be so quiet with their long fur. Sometimes, she wished she had fur as easy to manage as Wildclove. A simple kittypet, she thought. Now, wasn’t the time for those thoughts. She wriggled her haunches, ready to pounce. However a simple stick crunched under her paw, alerting the robin of her location. Leopardcry let out an annoyed hiss, before jumping into the air to catch up to the robin which had already started to flee. She managed to catch the bird with her claws, taking it down with a swift swipe. She looked at the robin, dipping her head. “I thank Starclan for this prey,” She meowed, before turning around with her catch and walking back to camp.
Tags Larchkit Hunting Bugs, Thinks Cloverfur is strange {--} with Cloverfur Larchkit pounced, his tiny tail sticking up in the air. He mewed defiantly as the tiny moth escaped his reach. “Mrrow! You aren’t fast enough for me! I will catch prey for the clan!” He purred, his tiny kitten claws flexing from his paws. He leaped again; this time managing to catch the moth mid-air. He hit the ground with a big oof, still with the moth in his tiny jaws. “Look! Cloverfur! I caught prey!” He told the grey warrior nearby. But he tilted his head at Cloverfur. He looked so big! So weird? “You’re so strange! How did you get so big?” He asked eagerly.

PUMPKINPAW [ Plays a prank on Jamilah - Climber ] " There's a dark thin winding stairway without any banister! Which we'll throw him down and feed him on cockroaches served in a canister! " (Oliver from Oliver!)
Pumpkinpaw slowly woke up to his brother nagging her to practice climbing skills. She grumbled as she got up. The day before, Pumpkinpaw had a verbal brawl with Daisytuft, and wasn't in a good mood since then. Before she left, she attempted to nudge Pheasantpaw awake, in which she was laying outside with Marshpaw. She didn't wake up, but that was fine. She'll wake up later.
***
A few minutes after they reached the tree, the three apprentices started climbing up the tree, higher and higher, daring one another to go higher. Fallowpaw looked up at Pumpkinpaw. "Go up one!" she called, as then Pumpkinpaw leapt. However, she accidentally landed on a flimsy branch, and the branch broke beneath her.
Pumpkinpaw screeched as she fell onto the hard ground, shattering one of her hind legs. The impact was so hard, that she blacked out.
She thought she was dead for few moments.
...
But no.
***
Pumpkinpaw awoke suddenly to stinging polituce. She squeaked as the pain sent shivers down her spine. She looked up at Jamilah. "Please hold still, girl. It's not so bad, I don't think it'll be permanently damaged." Jamilah explained. Pumpkinpaw grumbled. She wondered who helped her back to camp? Was it Fallowpaw and Bumblepaw? Did Pheasantpaw help? Did she even notice? No matter. But she noticed the medicine cat was struggling. Why? Pumpkinpaw remembered that the she-cat fell into a river earlier, so that must be why.
She looked around her. Other cats were here too. Blue, Beechpaw, Thornpaw, Pineconepaw, and even the new warrior, Storkleg was here. She never met Storkleg, but she looked cool.
She was bored.
"... Jamilah! Look! We're out of borage!" Pumpkinpaw called. Jamilah turned her head. The borage stock was filled. Jamilah gave her a look before the pair laughed.
[ OOC - If I had a nickel for every time I had a character who had an injured leg, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but I hate that it happened twice. Also I headcanon Jamilah with a country accent. ]

PHEASANTPAW [ Saw a metal bird in the sky! - Return the Injured ] " A man's got a heart, hasn't he? Joking apart... hasn't he? " (Reviewing the Situation from Oliver!)
Pheasantpaw felt her life getting better and better every moon, she only had one disagreement, and it was from Thornpaw. She and Bristlepaw found a metal bird in the sky, and she had just returned from a hunting contest with her newfound friend Marshpaw. Now, she was laying in the sun with Marshpaw, napping.
Well, for her, trying to nap.
She couldn't really rest but really can't stay awake. She twisted around as she tried to find a good position. She slowly opened one eye, and saw Marshpaw just kind of staring at her.
... Awkward.
"Uh... nice weather?" Pheasantpaw replied as the pair laughed. Suddenly, she saw Bumblepaw and Fallowpaw trotting in, carrying... who was that? Pheasantpaw then felt fear when she recognized the smoke pointed she-cat being carried off to the medicine den. Pumpkinpaw! Was she gonna be okay?
[ OOC - I reaaaaaally wanted to include Pheasantpaw's reaction because OMG- ]

Fallowpaw [Oh dear, oh dear!-falling pumpkin]
No, no, NO! This CAN'T be happening! Her mind seemed a mess of guilt and worry, for Pumpkinpaw and for her and Bumblepaw. "We're sure to be in trouble!" She said to Bumblepaw "They'll make us clean out the elders den for a MOON OR EVEN THREE!" her mindless pacing seemed to get on Bumblepaws nerves "It's fine! They'll understand that we were working on climbing skills!" Bumblepaw raised what would've been an eyebrow "But WE egged her on! And were we even ALLOWED outside camp?!" She hissed at him, her claws dug into the dirt. She had hurt another apprentice, not just any apprentice her own SISTER! "I'm NEVER gonna get my warrior name! She could be stuck in the medicine den her whole life! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bumblepaw [Oh guilt-oh dear, oh dear]
"She'll be fine!" he whispered feircley to himself "Fine!" Something seemed to rupture deep in him, something he'd NEVER felt before... "Guilt?" Fallowpaw looked at him. "Is... That what you call it?" He looked over at his sister. "She... Will be fine won't she?" This must be what Fallowpaw felt, he wondered if it showed in his eyes or if Fallowpaw was able to read minds. "Let's be positive... She'll heal and even IF not she'll live a good life!" He flicked his ear to the medicine den. "But I don't want her to live a GOOD life I want her to live a GREAT LIFE!" Fallowpaw flopped onto her back. "I thought you knew everything! You should know how long it'll take for her to heal!" He said with a laugh. Fallowpaw glared at him before flopping onto her side. "Well... Sleep well?" He said feeling more worried than when he started. It was MY idea! MINE! And SHE ended up getting hurt, he could still smell the fear from her pelt on his. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC lol why are my characters both involveddd!!! and they're BOTH know-it-alls! Hatchhusk Herb Gathering - Sunlight Hatchhusk loved this part of Greenleaf. The sun warmed his pelt, smoothing over all of his worries. He sighed, rolling onto his back to bask in the rays of the sun more effectively. Still, a few thoughts flicked lazily through his mind. He wasn’t worrying, just… pondering. When he’d become a medicine cat, four medicine cats seemed like far too many for the clan. But now that Quickshade’s retired, and there’s so many more young cats… I almost want an apprentice of my own. Hatchhusk looked up into the trees. Maybe StarClan will send an omen.
The sunning session, though, could not last forever. Refreshed and relaxed, Hatchhusk had no trouble picking off raspberry leaves, gathering up more than enough for the next while. Returning to camp, he met back with Amberdapple in the clearing, seeing that she’d collected just as much. “That little rest was a great idea, wasn’t it? We should do it more often...”

Marshpaw got up in her nest that morning I ask stargazer for help with how she can hunt better, so Stargazer shows her a little bit of hunting since her mentor was on patrol with another cat. Before she left to do a hunting contest with pheasantpaw, Marshpaw decides to wink at hatchhusk for no reason. Marshpaw races out to the territory to prove that she is the better hunter than pheasantpaw. Turns out they got closer and like best friends, so later when she was told she would be going on a patrol with Pheasantpaw, she was excited. They both went out and decided to have a nap, but Marshpaw couldn’t sleep and stared at Pheasantpaw who was trying to nap. Marshpaw was about to say something but Pheasantpaw beat her to it with an awkward tone “Uh… nice weather?” Before Marshpaw could speak the two cats could see other apprentices coming in from the entrance of camp Main tag: borageskyMentioned: asrise Dew

Wildclove
This is taking forever. Wildclove knows he shouldn't minimise it, with the hawks screaming and clawing and frantic wing beating- he would feel worse if hawks were not notorious for killing kits and ‘paws. After his own apprentice was recently injured (and wasn't he frantic when he found out) hes got a bit of a protective streak. But it was indeed taking its time, Wildclove and the rest of his patrol were lagging- they couldn't keep this up. Eyes darting over the creature- its wing beats noticeably slower- he suddenly leaps. Ducking under talons and beak to grab at the beast's neck. He is Much bigger than a kit- the tired hawk doesn't stand a chance. He leans back, tongue panting “Well whaddya yknow” he smirks “Think this’ll do the clan much good?” Maybe it’ll cheer up his poor ‘paw- at least some soft down will do the littles and med-cat beds good. Hauling the thing back to camp is just as exhausting- but he’s wayyy too smug to feel most of it.
He’ll definitely talk Pumpkinpaws ears off about it when he goes to visit in the morning.
OOC: someone else feel free to do the start of the patrol i just wanted to get to the fun part! Also he steals some soft down to put in Pumpkins nest- if you can imagine a soccer mom when their kid gets hurt thats Wildclove rn

Dogkit
Wants to stay in camp where its safe Recovers, Talks with: Storkleg - boragesky
Outside of the camp was scary. Despite her skin no longer feeling like it's on fire- Dogkit sticks close to the nursery or med-cat den. Apprentices falling from trees, kittypets intruding on their territory, rogues- even her namesake Dogs. Everything outside of camp was terrifying. She meant- like did anyone else see how big that thing was that some warriors brought in?? Those claws were the size of her! She much prefers to stay in camp- tailing the warriors around and trying her best to help. Though she mostly just cleans up moss-balls from the other kits.
Camps not so bad anyways- everyone she knows is here, especially- “Storkleg!” She mews, poking her head around into the med den “hello!” Storkleg is so cool to Dogkit, even if she smells a bit weird right now, much cooler than Blue she thinks. Maybe not as cool as Auburncreek, Auburncreek is the coolest She's very happy she knows exactly were the warrior is- not so happy she doesn't feel good but that's what Dogkits here to do! “Need any help?” she shuffles her paws, suddenly shy OOC: My daughterrrr

Duststep Hunting patrol with Wildclove and StargazerDuststep had been excited when the patrol came across the injured hawk, but as they stood there waiting for it to get too tired to fight back, all she was thinking about was how bored she was. It had been hours now. She was excited to see what hawk tasted like, sure, but she'd rather go back to camp, close her eyes while eating a sparrow, and pretend it was the real deal than have to stand here doing nothing for one more minute. Pineconepaw was lucky that she was sitting this one out too. At this point she'd probably get tuckered out before the hawk did, but she could tell at least one of her clanmates felt confident that they could take it down eventually by the simple fact that they hadn't given up and left yet. Still, she couldn't just leave them here either, so she waited.
And waited, and waited, until the moon was high in the sky and Duststep's eyelids were drooping on their own. Until suddenly a brown and white pelt flashed beside her and she looked up to find Wildclove standing over the bird, panting, bright red blood staining its neck and his fur. She waited a moment to be sure it wasn't moving anymore before getting up. “Well whaddaya know. Think this’ll do the clan much good?” Wildclove said, smirking, and Duststep nodded in the affirmative. "It'd better, with how long we've been standing here," she replied with a chuckle as she grabbed it by the unbroken wing, signalling with a flick of her tail to Stargazer to grab the other wing so they could start getting it back to camp.

STORKLEG [ Wants to Compliment Duststep - One Moon In ] " I rough it, I love it! Life is a game of chance! " (It's A Fine Life from Oliver!)
Storkleg lifted her head up on this new day. One moon in, and she's pretty chill about things. Except for the fact that her leg is now infected. There were a few things in her head. She really wanted to hunt, but her leg hurt! She really wanted to help, like Kitepaw does!
But what about meeting Blue? Nothing. Only bumped into him and pretended not to notice. Thank goodness for Duststep to help apologize! She wanted to compliment the she-cat, but never had the time of day! Then, she heard pawsteps.
Itty-bitty pawsteps.
Storkleg turned around and saw little baby Dogkit. She tried her hardest not to verbally go 'Awh' at the sight of the little lass. Storkleg flicked her tail in greeting to the kit before speaking. "Well... yes in fact I do need help! I'm rather hungry right now, can you go find some prey in the fresh-kill pile?" the she-cat asked. Dogkit
"I'm rather hungry right now, can you go find some prey in the fresh-kill pile?"
The fresh-kill pile? Dogkit glances over, over at the giant bird that takes up a good portion of it. Over at the claws that are as big as her. That fresh-kill pile.
She shallows. Dogkit is a very smart little lady, she knows that the hawk is dead and cannot hurt her- but… It's so big!
“Sure” She mews quietly, slowly shuffling towards the beast “Certainly” She heard someone use that word and it makes her feel smart- bigs words do. She's creeping at this point, eyes laser focused on a rabbit laying beside it. If she doesnt look it doesn't exist. Slowly she shuffles around and grabs one of the rabbits ears- jerking back to Storkleg. However, she underestimates how heavy the prey is, and overestimated how strong she is. The mollys paws scramble on the ground- and she obviously panics a little. Its a little silly as she frantically drags the rabbit away. Dogkit stops next to Storkleg, slightly shaking and panting.
“There you go!” she squeaks.

Forestfreckle .*❁ ________________________________________________________________________________________________* Wants to ask how YewClan is doing * sparring with daisytuft Forestfreckle shook off the feelings of sleep still nagging at her pelt. Last night's gathering had been a long one, and she had not slept well after her return to camp. She thought about the cats she had met last night, and began to worry. At the gathering, she had met a young tom named Amberrise. He had been approximately her age, and he had looked... well, just as haunted as her.
Forestfreckle had kept up a surface-level conversation with him for awhile, although he had really been the chatty cat out of the two of them, but they had mostly talked about the weather and how prey was running. At one point in the conversation Amberrise had mentioned rogues visiting Yewclan's territory, but he had trailed off and remained silent after that. However, Forestfreckle had known his distant gaze all too well. She guessed that some or many of his clan-mates had died recently. She had longed to ask how Yewclan was doing, but the she-cat had been insecure in the moment, feeling as though it was not her place to ask. Thus, she had spent the rest of the night worrying. The war with Burdockclan was long over, but what if rogues attacked Plumclan?
Plumclan should stay on it's toes! Forestfreckle thought. Perhaps today would be a good day to practice battle moves? Glancing around the abandoned two-leg den, the gray and orange she-cat spotted Daisytuft not too far away. She would make a good sparring partner!
Forestfreckle trotted over to the brown speckled she-cat with a smile, and mewed, "Daisytuft! Say! Would you like to spar quick before we get called out to patrol? I'd like to make sure I'm staying agile and quick. I don't want to get complacent and cozy just because Burdockclan stopped being a problem."
Daisytuft responded at the same time that a group of apprentices went crashing out of camp. Something about practicing their climbing skills. Forestfreckle lost her focus as she watched them leave, and accidentally missed what Daisytuft had said. The she-cat appeared to be nodding with a smile though, so with context clues, Forestfreckle concluded that she had agreed.
"Cool so let's get to work!" The young warrior piped, and then got down in a crouch, ready to pounce.

Golddusk-Border patrol with Feathersong It was a clear summer day with no clouds in sight. Golddusk walked along the border of Flowerclan with Feathersong. He sniffed the air, having yet to find anything of interest. It was quiet on this side of the border. Golddusk doesn’t see any signs of a Flowerclan patrol nearby. The only sign of one is the fresh scent along the border between Flowerclan and Plumclan. Suddenly, Golddusk spotted movement in the bushes somewhere on Flowerclan’s side of the border. He paused for a moment as he tried to figure out what was causing the bushes to move. A few moments later, a rabbit popped out into view. Golddusk noticed how plump the rabbit looked. Golddusk wanted to hunt that rabbit and then bring it back to Plumclan to add it to the fresh kill pile. However, he also knew that rabbit is on Flowerclan territory and therefore belongs to Flowerclan, not Plumclan. Not to mention that he remember what caused the war with Burdockclan in the first place. Is it worth it to risk another potential war with Flowerclan if we hunt this rabbit? Golddusk wondered to himself. He didn’t want to be one of the cats responsible for the beginning of another war nor did he want to risk antagonizing a Flowerclan patrol should they get caught hunting this rabbit. He looked at Feathersong uncertainly and then he asked her, “There’s a rabbit over there on Flowerclan’s side of the border. You think we should hunt this rabbit or should we leave it be?” Fawn
