Twilightkit yawned, all their playing starting to catch up to him. "Good, I think I'm going to have to become leader so I can name everyone." he murmured, pressing his face into her fur.
"Very good Lionkit!" Blizzardstorm praised with a purr. "If we keep working these next few moons you'll be a sneaking expert. Try and jump on that leaf over there like its a mouse."

Darktail's ears flattened as he was reminded of his dreams. "I can't imagine being stuck there now that I know I've seen it. The sky is pitch black and all the plants are dead. It's terrifying." Midnightstream frowned with a hint of nervousness, her eyes flashing as she mewed softly. "It sounds awful. I hate knowing that Yarrowcloud is there somewhere, stuck. I refuse to believe that he has to be stuck there forever. If we find a way, we have to take it, right?" She asked, wanting to be brave like Darktail was. Darktail stood up straighter, eyes steeling as he nodded. "Of course. Whatever chance I get to save my father I'm doing it. I don't care the cost. He doesn't deserve to be there."

"Don't get frustrated now. Remember what I said before, Serpentkit, you can do anything you set your mind to." Sunthroat said, looking back down at Serpentkit when he squeaked. He wiggled his tail tip again, trying to tempt the kit into trying to catch his tail again. "Oh, okay!" Chestnutfur mewed, hurrying after Hickoryshade. She followed the older warrior out of camp, giving a small smile when she took in the surrounding territory, happy to see how much the forest had grown back after the fire. "You really are something else, Hickoryshade. Not many of us are willing to go back out on another hunt right after returning from one." Serpentkit gave his father a quick look, before he moved to try again. The little kit dragged himself towards his father's tail again, before swatting a few more times at the tip of it. He squeaked as his little claw connected to the dark fur, allowing him to pull it down. Hickoryshade padded confidently through the territory, glancing back at Chestnutfur and observing her youthful optimism. Already, Hickoryshade could appreciate her energy. She flicked her tail and shrugged. "Not many of the Clan are as driven as I am to fill the prey pile. I guess you can call it an obsession, but these past events have made us struggle." She continued on, before she suddenly asked. "Chestnutfur, tell me. Would you ever share your prey with a hungry cat from another Clan?" Sunthroat chuckled as he watched Serpentkit play with his tail, giving it another wave after a few seconds so that he can try to catch it again. He looked up when he noticed Cherrykit moving around more, the dark ginger she-kit looking around the nursery with curiousity. Ashkit sighed as he turned back to his nest, satisfied that he had scared away the thing that had been scaring his brother. Chestnutfur blinked in surprise at Hickoryshade's question, pausing and tilting her head as she considered what she was suggesting. "I... I'm not sure. I've never really thought about it before honestly." She mewed, blinking at Hickoryshade as she spoke. "But, if I'm being honest, I don't think I could just sit back and watch a hungry cat starve. Whether they're from a different clan or not." She murmured.

"Alright." Sootpaw said, making sure to remember everything Magpiewing taught him today. He lifted his head to scent the air again and turned his head in the direction of a scent trail. "There's a bird that way." He mewed, looking back at his mentor. Magpiewing flicked her ear. "I'll leave you to it, then. While you track the bird, I can go unbury your catch from earlier." She glanced back at the border to Sunningrocks one last time. Her eyes dimmed in thought for a brief moment before she shook her head, looking back at her apprentice. "Don't worry - I'll let you take it back to camp and get all the credit." She flicked her tail for Sootpaw to begin. Sootpaw gave his mentor a small purr and nodded his head, dropping into his best hunting crouch and stalked after the bird that he had scented out. As he drew closer, he slowed to a stop when the bird came within sight. He paused for a moment before he shot out of his spot and jumped at the bird, pinning it down and quickly biting its neck.

Midnightstream promised, looking fondly at Darktail even as her heart ached with worry for him.

Hickoryshade hummed with approval, padding through the territory and looking out across the swaths of forest. She chuckled. "Good. You and I think alike then. Proud Warriors, but we can recognize that other Warriors deserve the same kind of things we do. Safety, shelter, prey." She glanced back at Chestnutfur. "Some cats think that we always have to antagonize eachother. All that does is cause senseless fights. I like to battle when it means something, not for some sense of pride or joy." She admitted with a light scoff, before she mewed. "How do you like being a Warrior so far? Is it everything you hoped?"

She said with a gentle purr, giving the sleepy kit a few licks. Lionkit beamed at his father, feeling his chest puff with pride at his praise. He stalked after the leaf Blizzardstorm had pointed out before pouncing on it, his front paws landing on it. Lionkit giggled and batted at the leaf playfully.

She felt a twitch of pride for her apprentice. He learned quickly and clearly listened to her. Even with his energetic nature, he's not too hard to train. She grasped the mouse by the tail and halted when she saw him. "Well?"

Bluewhisker whirled around when Yewpaw grabbed her tail, then back to Dawnpaw to bat off his attack. She kept swinging this way and that, fully on the defensive. She knew in a real fight, claws unsheathed, she could likely beat both apprentices off - it was a fact she wasn't proud of, however. "Enough," she finally puffed, shaking Dawnpaw and Yewpaw off. "Your teamwork was smooth. I was mostly defending. You both dodged the majority of my blows." The stern warrior observed both panting cats for a moment before inclining her head towards them. "Well done." Dawnpaw leaped back to stand in his defensive stance, before he relaxed at the clear indication in Bluewhisker's voice. He felt a glimmer of pride at the Warrior's compliment, taking it very seriously since it was coming from her. He dipped his head. "Thank you, Bluewhisker." Yewpaw's heart warmed at her mentors complement. "Thank you Bluewhisker!" She said, smiling. "Dawnpaw, you did great too!" She said, turning to the older apprentice. He would probably get his warriors name soon. I wish I could get mine soon! But she still had long ways to go. Many things to do and learn.

"I was" He said. He remembered how they had passed they prey around the camp and gave everycat a chance to smell it, and then pass it on again before they disposed of it. Bramblefur gave out a small shudder. "It still is" He said. Some cats still had lingering sickness from when they ate the poisoned prey. "I wonder how many Skyclan cats got sick" "From the patrol that came to warn us, quite a few but I'm not sure if they lost any clanmates or not. I hope Lavendersky and Spiderbite were able to treat them in time. I wonder if Spiritstar or Lightningstar will mention it in front of the other clans at the next gathering. It might be a bit suspicious if they do. The other clans will get nervous if they figure out we currently have an alliance." Shadowblossom replied with a flick of her ear. Bramblefur nodded his head. "But they would probably tell us, if anyone passed at the next gathering right? I mean, they have to tell the other clans what warriors are gone so we can mourn them" Although, now that we thought about it, how would they explain their deaths, if they didn't reveal their alliance? Skyclan lived next to the twolegplace, but they lived, well, not very close. "What do you think Lightingstar is going to say at the next gathering?"

Though, he wasn't surprised, seeing as Bluewhisker was her mentor.

Bluewhisker was pleased by the skill both apprentices had shown; though her face remained its usual stony mask, there was a momentary flicker of warmth in her steely gaze.
"Let us return to camp. You may hunt for yourselves on the way back," she said. The blue-gray warrior jumped lightly from the sandy hollow.

(Twilight: Lightning, lol you're old) Blizzardstorm beamed as Lionkit landed on the leaf, impressed with the kit's skills already. "That was great Lionkit! Don't go telling your siblings that I gave you special lessons though. They might get jealous. Lightningstar is already visiting each camp to warn of the rising of the dark forest."

Who knows, maybe some of the prey even ran over into Shadowclan territory. They should know" But he didn't even know if he believed his words. How would the other clans react? "Well, let's just hope this Dark Forest drama doesn't become Adderclan 2.0" Bramblefur shivered. How many cats would die if that happened? Who would he lose?

Sunthroat chuckled as he watched Serpentkit play with his tail, giving it another wave after a few seconds so that he can try to catch it again. He looked up when he noticed Cherrykit moving around more, the dark ginger she-kit looking around the nursery with curiosity. He waved his tail for Serpentkit again as he watched Cherrykit find her balance and start walking towards them again. Chestnutfur gave a small shrug at Hickoryshade's question, "It's been alright so far. Of course, there hasn't really been much tension with the other Clans lately, so I guess it's been fairly quiet." She said. Chestnutfur scented the air as they walked, hoping to find some prey.

Chestnutfur gave a small shake of her head, "Not exactly. Not with any of the other Clans at least." She said, looking back at Hickoryshade. "I had only just been made an apprentice when the rogues attacked our camp last time, and a few border skirmishes with RiverClan, I haven't seen much battle myself." She said sheepishly. Now that she thought about it, she didn't really have much to show for her time as a Warrior besides some decent hunting and border patrols.

Hickoryshade mused lightly, her voice oddly soft, different from her usual confidence and strength. She looked at Chestnutfur with both hope and heaviness. "A true battle between Clans, a vicious one, you begin to lose sight of why you fight when you have to slash at another Warrior. I have no doubt that you're talented, with or without a serious battle under your paws. Please, don't be embarrassed that you've yet to fight like I've had to." She implored, hoping that Chestnutfur would be willing to see the way of Fluffcloud and Eelshock's wishes for peace and unification.

Admittedly, he was still a bit distracted by his unhappiness with how Scarletpaw seemed to not like him. He didn't want his sister to dislike him, especially since he had no idea what he did. His heart ached a bit, worry in his chest, though he hid it with his gentle smile.

Bluewhisker flicked an ear as she watched the apprentices pad away, satisfied with their performance and that they seemed to get along well. She enjoyed the few rays of sunshine that dappled the floor of the sandy hollow with her eyes half-closed, simply listening to the sounds of the forest and thinking.
We will be fighting for SunningRocks soon, she mused. She had been a warrior for many seasons, enough to recognize the undercurrent of tension in the Clan anytime SunningRocks was mentioned. Even Peachdapple seemed to be itching to have the piece of territory in ThunderClan's paws again. Perhaps she would speak with her about it.
As the sun slid away and she was plunged into shade she stood and arched her back in a long stretch. Then she padded off to hunt.

Magpiewing ducked her head in approval at Sootpaw's hunting crouch and hurried away to unbury his mouse. If he was successful here, he'd have a pretty good record to return to camp with. She felt a twitch of pride for her apprentice. He learned quickly and clearly listened to her. Even with his energetic nature, he's not too hard to train. She grasped the mouse by the tail and halted when she saw him. "Well?" Bumping for you Icefire15!)

Yewpaw shook her head. "Not here, we must have scared all the prey away with our battle training" She mewed. "Well, I do smell one, but it's old, a few hours at the earliest" Yewpaw pointed out, incase the older apprentice quizzed her on it. "Maybe we should go a little away from the hollow?" She hated that it sounded like a question but.. oh well. "That works. You can lead the way." Dawnpaw nodded his agreement, sweeping his tail to allow Yewpaw to lead the hunt. Admittedly, he was still a bit distracted by his unhappiness with how Scarletpaw seemed to not like him. He didn't want his sister to dislike him, especially since he had no idea what he did. His heart ached a bit, worry in his chest, though he hid it with his gentle smile. Yewpaw looked back at Dawnpaw, then to Bluewhisker, who was padding away, either to go back to camp or to hunt by herself. Once they had gotten a little away from the hollow, the prey scents started to come back. Yewpaw opened her mouth, and found a mouse scent trail. Yewpaw flicked her tail to the bush she thought it was in. She got down on her paws, and crept closer, and closer, and closer... there it is! The mouse was hiding under a bush, nibbling on an acorn. Now! Yewpaw pounced, killing the mouse with one swift bite to the neck.

sorry work got the best of me, needed a little bit of time off. ) Shadowblossom's fur stood on end even thinking about the possibility. "I'm nearing retirement, I'm too old to fight in another war." She mewed with a shake of her head. "If that happens, it's going to kill me but I don't think I can do much more than defend our camp if we're invaded." dewbranch

"I know you will, but you're right. I don't want you anywhere near that forest while you're pregnant. If.. if I don't make it out, I want to make sure you will be safe and will live on for our kits." Darktail murmured, looking down at his paws. "You'll make it out." Midnightstream mewed firmly, though it was clear that she was telling herself this as well, as she looked at Darktail with stern eyes. "You'll make it out just fine, and we'll raise our kits, and hopefully get this second cat out of your head, and make everything better." Darktail mustered a smile, "Right. We'll do exactly that. Come on, you've been up for a while. Let's go rest for a bit before I have to go on my evening patrol."
