Lexa shrugged her shoulders. "I wish I knew." She bends down and lowers her voice. "I think he might have been dropped on his head or some witch cursed him." She teased hoping to get a laugh out of her. Maria let out a slight chuckle at the idea of Leon being dropped on his head. “Thanks big sis, I feel a little bit better,” she said, wrapping her arms around the older girls neck. After a moment, she let Lexa go and asked, “Outside of dad, how did mom seem to react about Javalle?”

(Totally thought my reply was posted, it did not :< Had to rewrite this)
Jack took a look at the screen, it certainly looked like it could be the journal that Adeline was talking about. No cover was a good sign, much like his own. Mysterious tombs like this were bound to have some sort of answer hidden away in them. If only he had that one book that Javalle seemed to be reluctant to give up.
During the time that Javalle and Adeline were talking, that freak who had accosted Jack earlier had seemed to move spots. Wether it was to attract more attention or that the cops had finally had enough of his shouting to make him move, he didn’t know or care. He could just barely make him outside through a nearby window. His werewolf hearing strained to hear him from the distance between them (not that he really wanted to listen to the ravings of a mad man, no matter how much he was somewhat right), but when the megaphone the man was using sent feedback, that was something his ears were able to pick up. It was muffled slightly, but he couldn’t the mild flinch his body gave. He hid it as best he could, but he was sure someone noticed. It was like waking up in the hospital. It was so new to him that even the beeping and clicking of the machines were too much at some point.
He flashed his eyes towards Javalle. No doubt with his feline hearing, the feedback did not go unnoticed, but he didn’t seemed to be affected by it like he had.
Werewolves probably can’t do high-pitched noises. Noted.
(Since there not a whole lot that he can do to contribute at the moment, I decided to be mean to Jack again and gave Sherman a cameo. He’s fine, don’t worry. I’m sure when the hunter plot gets going, they’ll be even worse about it than I was lol)

(Lol as I have said before, Jack was made to suffer. I’m not entirely cruel though, he’ll get some victories every now and then)

Adeline followed along, taking note of a few other functions along the way. It seems like they might be able to get a library card (two, in this case) as well. Well that’s nice..
She’s been through a handful of libraries, but she can certainly say knowing such information before would have.. probably helped out quite a bit. Well, better late then never she supposes.
it took a a bit of scrolling, and tongue clicking before they found it. Adeline sends a politely surprised glance towards Javalle. “Exactly it, actually.” She responds, taking a look over the screen.
Thank goodness. I’m getting anxious with this wait. A bit quicker would be ideal, yes? Hurry along with your wolf-friend.
”it’s not even checked out.” Adeline responds. Adeline hums, turning around some in the swivel chair just as she sees a flinch from Jack behind her, giving him a somewhat curious look. Maybe she startled him by accident?
Or is it some werewolf thing?
She shrugs it off for now, and gives him a somewhat awkward look. “..Do you have a library card, Jack?” She asks.
Last time she checked it out was one of those receipt returns, and she hadn’t actually had much time to get a card that day.
