Yes, you can also play it on xbox. My friend recently got it and we've been playing together.
I'm saving up for it myself.

As someone who has never played Stardew Valley, I'm honestly a little surprised there are people who've never heard of it. In short, it's a farm life simulator game. If you're familiar with Story of Seasons (its inspiration, previously known as Harvest Moon), it's like that.

Idk much Latin but I just found that “Black Death” is Mors Atra. I think that would be a pretty cool name for some evil spirits. The Mors Atra. Sorry, saw this only just now! I'm actually trying to avoid using Mors since the god of death is pretty well respected in my world, but thanks anyway! I really appreciate it!

On the topic of Starview Valley:
I must not get out much xD I’ve never heard of that or Story of Seasons / Harvest Season. I also don’t play many videos games anymore, haha. I use to play GameCube & DS (and I still do from time to time). But I don’t have any other game systems (like XBox or anything). I use to play computer games that were on the CDs, but everything’s online now so you don’t need the CDs xD Now I just play webkinz as far as “computer games” go.

You’re welcome! Did you end up finding a name? (: Just now, actually! Or at the very least, I know I want the suffix to be derived from venator, meaning hunter, I'm just having finding a prefix and then probably find a way to shorten it so it won't seem like a mouthful.

So I decided to put my fantasy project to the side for now and put my focus into this historical novel I've had in my head for awhile now! Basically it's an epistolary about a boy growing up in 1910s England up to his time as a soldier in WWI.

Also slightly switching gears for a bit, I think I'm gonna shift what's been my secondary WIP for a while to my main WIP because I think the outline is at a point where I might be able to finish writing it if I commit to it.
Current main WIP is not being fully set aside (my terrible kids refuse to be ignored), I'm just not gonna be working on the actual writing and moreso sticking to strengthening the outline and worldbuilding. Just kinda swapping the WIPs in terms of priority I guess lol

I'm all done with worldbuilding for my fantasy story for now, but I still don't feel motivated to write and I know I'm never going to get anything done if I focus on this one thing, so the epistolary book it is! I'm just concerned about being too modern with the writing, but that's what revisions are for, I guess!

You can get a lot done in edits, tho I think when it comes to meshing modern writing with historical settings it gets easier as you do more research.
But also I'm kinda in the same boat w the WIP i'm now prioritizing, with the other main WIP I had more leeway bc it was closer to a modern setting, but the new main WIP has a setting similar to several centuries ago which makes consistency in the language hard lol

Good luck with yours, but how far back are we talking? If you want, I can try and give book recommendations if you think that'll help. All that being said, I know I'll never be able to fully replicate the style of the era and the Edwardian age (George V's reign included) is also the period in which formal language began to slowly take on a more "modern" tone anyway, so I'm not too concerned either, tbh, otherwise I'm never going to get anything done. Another thing is that this is actually a historical fantasy, so overall, I think I can allow myself a little leeway, so long as the dialogue doesn't come off as too modern, which should be easy enough to do.

My novel is in a fictional but historically-situated setting (think cusp of the industrial revolution), so I do have to think about how I want my writing to fit in with that. But I have a bit of an archaic writing style to begin with, so maybe it won't be much of an issue? It helps that I can kinda fudge stuff since it's a fictional realm and not beholden to the strict chronological development of our world.

Mine can be pretty formal as well, it's just that I've never used it for a historical/historical fantasy before, unless you count fics, so I think my concern stems more from whether or not I can carry the style all throughout in a consistent enough manner rather than if I can carry it at all, if that makes sense.

I've decided to redo my very first Warriors fanfiction but turn it into something different.
Excited, I've decided to bump up Eaglepaw's backstory to 100 and now he's interesting.

Unfortunately, I've yet to find an archive that's completely free, besides the Google News Archive, I guess. I've no problem making individual searches, but as mine still references many famous (and infamous) historical events, it'd certainly be a lot more convenient to have everything in one place.

I don't even remember where I found the newspaper articles, to be honest XD But for one specific thing I was writing, I was using one newspaper & it was free. I'm sure the library also has newspaper articles, too!

I'm not looking to replicate writing or language from that time exactly or anything, I guess I just want to avoid conspicuous modernizations and describe the world and culture in a way that feels authentic to around that time even if the words themselves aren't entirely authentic. which mostly relies on doing my research lol

Okay y'all I need a little brainstorming help.
I have a character who desperately wants to be loved (in all ways), but he lacks a proper understanding of what love is. So he often falls short and struggles to understand why the "love" he achieves doesn't feel quite as fulfilling as he wants. But he's also just desperate so he takes what scraps he gets from others.
What I need help with: what are some things that a person might reasonably confuse for love? So far I'm thinking recognition, affection, and attention. They can be neutral, positive, or negative in their own right, just anything someone might mistake for being loved by someone.
