Lynxpaw saw his sister exiting the apprentices den and beckoned her over, when she got there Lynxpaw looked at Monster, "This is my sister Leopardpaw."

Rudely and without any precaution, Monster said, "This is your sister? I thought she'd prettier than ya, but I guess I was wrong." She shrugged and gave a big yawn.

Willowshade looked down trying to calm her racing heart. Why was she feeling this way? She shook her head and padded towards where she would make her nest, looking at the three kits that she was taking in and then at Snowkit who was curled up asleep in the middle of the nursery. "Who is that?" Stonekit asked talking about Snowkit. "Do you like that tom"? Eaglekit asked curiously. She could tell something was up with Willowshade. |

Leopardpaw growled, "Who in Starclan's name do you think you are?" She almost never growled at another cat.
Willowshade looked at Stonekit first and smiled, "That's my first kit, her name is Snowkit." Then she looked to Eaglekit and a sigh escaped her, "Yes I do." She murmured.

"Ya flatter me," Monster stopped scratching, taking the last few words Leopardpaw gave as something just short a compliment. "There may be hope that your insides are better than your outsides, although that goal isn't hard to pass, isn't it?" She nudged Lynxpaw with her paw and gave a little snicker as if she had just said some sort of funny joke.

"Ya wanna fight?" Monster stood up, all thirteen of her claws extended, her bad paw only extending one single claw. Her body was ready to go, her front legs bent as she crouched so that her chest was against the ground, prepared to spring at any moment.

Leopardpaw hissed, "I'm done with this." She stalked away towards the apprentices den, trying not to let Monster's words get to her. But they did. She'd always been insecure about herself, thinking she wasn't good enough for anyone. Now Monster just made her insecurities and self doubts so much worse.
Lynxpaw sighed and looked at Monster, "You really need to learn to hold your tongue sometimes." He mewed.
