WARRIOR'S WORLD
{BANNER COMING SOON}
{BANNER COMING SOON}
THE NARROW TARMAC hugged the mountainside, tight curves forcing drivers to slower speeds. The road was not as high as some of the surrounding peaks, but the view was nonetheless breathtaking. Rowans, pines, and a handful of maple trees covered the landscape, splotched with golds and reds of early autumn.
Buses aren't made for twisty, elevated roads, you decide. Every time the 16-seater swerved precariously close to the guardrail, you have a full view of the unpleasantly sheer mountainside that the road perched on. Not to mention that cars occasionally appeared from behind sharp turns, forcing the bus closer to the edge. Still, it was far cheaper to catch the shuttle than to rent a car from the airport. I'll have to learn to navigate these mountain roads at some point.
Your musings are interrupted by the stiff squeals of the bus's brakes as it eased to an unexpected stop. Peering down the aisle, you can see a brightly striped traffic arm lowered across the road. A black tom cat leans out of the toll stall. The bus driver cranks the door open, and the nip of early autumn gusts through the cabin. You shiver.
The guard hands the driver back his shuttle pass. "Welcome to Warrior's World!" He mewed, raising the traffic arm. He waved to the bus riders as the shuttle slipped past. For the first time, you notice a sign just behind the guard stall: Warrior's World City Limit.
It's hard to keep track of time when you're anxious. It feels like you've been in that bus forever-- yet, at the same time, you can't believe you're here already. Your grip on the seat in front of you tightens. You lean forward slightly, eager as a kit on Christmas. The bus inches up the slope at what feels like a snail's pace. Finally, it reaches the crest, and you have your first glimpse of Warrior's World.
And what a view it is! There are four mountains, their peaks white with autumn snow. The shallow valley that lies among them is dotted with buildings; some are quite far out, on the edges of the dale, but most are clustered towards the center. A river cuts through, its calm waters reflecting the early lights of the coming sunset. After driving upwards for so long, the shuttle noses its way down the slope.
It was about a ten minute ride from the city limits to the town center. On the way, you passed rich fields of swaying grass, occasionally spotting horses grazing in the distance. The open space was soon traded for trees, with pines, cedars, aspen, cottonwoods, and more maples whipping by the shuttle windows.
Soon the bus pulled to a shrieking stop. You grab your bag, thank the driver, and hop off the bus.
It was like stepping into a dream. The shuttle stop was right on the edge of the Town Square. Though the more out-lying roads were tarmac, the streets here were paved with cobblestones. Sunset had now truly begun; golden-orange light bathed the narrow store fronts, and wrought-iron street lamps flickered to life. A tabby is hawking roasted apples outside her store front. Cats strolled the street without becoming a crowd. It reminds you of the picturesque small towns you see in movies but always believed to be fiction.
You smile. I could get use to this place.

WHAT IS WARRIOR'S WORLD? - -
Warrior's World is a roleplay where cats act like twolegs. They own houses, shop at stores, run businesses, eat at restaurants, get jobs, and so much more. Think of it as a Sims, but with cats!
This roleplay has existed on the old forums for years, as far back as 2010. At the very beginning, it was known as Warrior's Universe, created by a forumer known as Lilystorm. When she decided she had had enough of the message boards, she passed down the thread to Fernheart, who changed the name to Warrior's World.
So it went that the title was passed down from one account to another: Sandy_aka_Sandflower, Patchedheart', Brookefur (the most widely-known), Bubbledaisy, Eveningfrost, mintleaf2, Rainsayer of Fireclan, briefly Stealthcreek, and finally to me. There have been a whacking great total of 13 Warrior's Worlds and 11 different admins!

GETTING STARTED - -
Now it's time to learn the basics. There are a few things you'll need to know in order to fully enjoy all that Warrior's World has to offer!
HOUSES
First things first-- your characters have to have somewhere to live! Every roleplayer has to make their characters a house when they join. This is accomplished by making a new thread in Fan Clans, then posting the link to it on your joining form.
So what do you do with this thread? Decorate it! Add a layout and design-- or don't, it's up to you! Most members have fun making their "houses." You can basically do whatever you want with it.
Some people use their houses as "dens," or chatrooms for their friends. Others only use it to roleplay, while some only ever use their house to keep track of their money and items. A lot of members will describe their character's house and the cats that live in it.
Each household starts off with a free house. However, if you would like to purchase a second house for any reason, the price is $500 MT.
Houses are "empty" when your characters first move in. Basic appliances and plumbing are there (stove, sinks, etc), but no furniture. It's yours to fill up!
If you need some inspiration or are still confused about what houses are suppose to be, check out some of the already existing houses by our current members!
MONEY
The currency system is simple and easy to learn. There are five different forms of currency: mousetails (MT), mintleaves (ML), hawkfeathers (HF), turtleshells (TS), and fish scales (FC). On the American currency scale, they would be equivalent to the following:
1 Mousetail is $1.00
1 Mintleaf is $20.00
1 Hawkfeather is $50.00
1 Turtleshell is $100.00
1 Fish Scale is $0.01
Some roleplayers like to imagine the currency is paper/coin form, just like human money. Others prefer to imagine the currency as the items themselves (i.e. an actual mintleaf, fish scale, etc). There is no right or wrong way-- it's entirely up to you!
Each household starts out with 500 MT. I would recommend using it to first purchase furniture and food.
For every week you have less than 500 MT, your household receives 20 MT. This is to keep money in circulation.
BUSINESSES & JOBS
You've got a home, and now you understand the currency. What's next? Time to make money!
The first option is to get a job. Lots of stores are looking for characters to hire-- cashiers, managers, salescat, advertiser-- you name it! Most of them come with actual responsibilities that you have to keep up with, just like regular role-playing. For instance, if you're hired as a cashier, you'll probably be expected to help characters check-out from time to time. Your cats can have an unlimited amount of jobs.
Employment not for you? How about being a C.E.O? Each member is allowed a maximum of three businesses. You are not required to have any. They can be anything you want them to be-- provided it's forum appropriate! Much like houses, businesses are hosted on separate threads that are then linked to this page so members can find them.
Pay attention to supply and demand. If there's already five toy stores, we probably don't need another. Look for what we lack rather than what we already have. (But I won't stop you if you really want to make that sixth toy store-- consider this friendly advice, not law)
ALL SET!

RULES - -
1. All forum rules are to be followed. Spamming, flaming, and bashing in general is not tolerated.
2. Please do not discuss sensitive topics such as politics on this thread. Such subjects tend to lead toward fights, and so it's best to avoid those things here.
3. Take care of your responsibilities. You have jobs or businesses to keep up with and characters to look after. Your cats can't be surviving off 3 poppyseed muffins for two months. Supply for them just like you would in the real world, making sure they have food, clothes, furniture, etc.
4. Target activity should be at least once a week. If you don't think you'll be on that often, this is probably not the roleplay for you. Please note that commenting "hi" once and not posting again until the next week does not count as activity. Inactivity for a month means your house and businesses will be removed from the front page. You are always welcome to rejoin.
5. The main page is often referred to as "Town Square." Roleplay there is usually of the stupid variety-- complete nonsense. You'll see what I mean. Don't be stuck-up-- join in!
6. No "Megastores." These are businesses that seem to sell everything-- like Target or Walmart, or Malls. It's simply unfair to everyone else. Stick to one category of merchandise. Businesses should also retain realistic prices (so a T.V. for $10 is a no).
7. We are not a therapist's office. It's okay to let out some real-life steam and vent every now and then, but constantly moping and sobbing will not improve your image here. This rule exists because in the past, we've had members who did nothing but complain about their life, and it really put the whole thread in a sour mood.
8. Each member is only allowed one household and three businesses. You may own multiple houses, but each one (except the first) costs 500 MT. If you have read the rules this far, please place "<3" next to the "other" section on your joining form.
9. Stealing is a major crime here. It includes giving yourself free items or money without having earned it. You could be kicked out for it.
Failure to follow the rules can result in fining, suspending, or even the boot itself.
