"Ok," She replied then watched as Lilith showed her the movements, Viperpaw nodded before trying the move out herself, she leaped onto Lilith's back and dug her claws in, it wasn't the neatest, but it was decent enough for the first try. Rather than cringe or hiss in discomfort, Lilith smirked at Viperpaw. “Good start. Usually we’re not allowed to train with our claws out here, but I don’t care much for those kinds of rules. Your grip is good, but your execution is sloppy.” She suddenly bucked upwards, aiming to shake the apprentice up. "Ah, I'm used to always using my claws, I've never really thought of not using them, I guess I just don't train with others much out of battle," Caught off guard by Lilth's attempt to throw her off, Viperpaw fell to the ground, but swiftly got up, and attempted to leap back onto Lilth's back, but as it was a moving target, and she tumbled back on to the dustly ground, dirt flew a bit around her, "Mouse dung!" she muttered.

But with me, feel free to flex your claws. We’ll blame it on sharp stones.” Lilith decided with a curling smile, her eyes gleaming with a keening mischief. “It’s frustrating at first, but the thrill of the fight will get you right back up again. Once you memorize how cats move, timing your leaps are easy. Come now, leap on my back like you want to tear me down.” She goaded.

Viperpaw clenched her teeth and dug her claws in deeper then she intended to at the thought of the rouge group.

Come on you bag of bones... Move your aching fur already. Lavendersky hissed at herself, trying to get her paws under her without quivering. She'd manage to get on her paws, only to fall down a heartbeat later. At one point, she managed to take a step before her balance wavered and she gave an indignant yelp as she crumpled back to the ground. It was a moment like this where she wished she had perished in battle, never knowing the suffering of age. Giving a weak growl, she tried and tried again, but only managed to get to the main part of the den, surrounded by familiar scents of dried herbs. Well... at least my sense of smell hasn't gone away... Too bad none of these herbs will do anything for me now, just hide the scent of my matted fur.

Briarpatch started to duck into the medicine cat den, "Spiderbite, I'm worried about Birdkit's vision." she started, only to stop when she was met with Lavendersky struggling to stand in the middle of the den. She gasped, hurrying to her side. "Lavendersky! Is something wrong? What can I do for you?" the queen asked, urging Lavendersky to sit down.

Oh great, a nagging queen... Where in Starclan's name is Spiderbite? I have no energy to deal with this now. Lavendersky tipped her head some, acknowledging that she heard Briarpatch. "I'm old... that's what is wrong." She rumbled, struggling to get the words out of her muzzle without falling into a coughing fit. No time to show weakness now, but weakness is all that she knows now. It had been some moons since any cat had seen her out of the den, and now it would be quite obvious why. She was far to thin, bones clearly visible under her skin, her pelt matted and unkempt from being unable to clean herself. She knew if it wasn't for Spiderbite, she would look worse off, but no matter the care, her body was going to show its weakness. "What is this about vision?" She asked after a moment, an ear flickering as she had missed part of what Briarpatch said.

Briarpatch frowned but took a step back from the medicine cat, not wanting to anger her with fussing. "Oh, well I don't know if you know this but my kits were born early outside of camp. My son Luckykit was born missing a leg, and I think my daughter Birdkit may have something wrong with her vision. Partially blind maybe? She can see something I know that, but I've been watching her run into things and trip on stones right under her paws. It's more than just regular kit clumsiness. Chervilkit and Snailkit haven't been having any problems."

"It's not unusual for early born kits to have health problems." Lavendersky meowed, her nose wrinkled up a bit as she struggled to talk and catch her breath. "Any number of issues could be causing Birdkit's clumsiness, including an ear infection." Lavendersky sighed softly, shaking her head a bit as she tried to clear up a fogginess that was clouding her mind. Really, the world was spinning even in the darkness, making it difficult to continue sitting up. "If you think it is her eyes..." Coughing surged through her frail frame, grimacing as she had spoken to long on lungs that struggled to function. "Take a leaf or a stick and place it in various points around her and have her..." Wheezing, the elderly she-cat struggled to keep focus. "...her gesture to where it is. If her eyes are hazy like mine, then that is also a way to focus on vision. Other than that..." Focus, do your job, don't let this mouse-brained age get to you. "...have Spiderbite check her ears and balance when he returns..."

“Thank you, I will do that.” Briarpatch breathed, barely able to focus on what she was saying as she took in how skinny the medicine cat was. “Can I help you to a nest Lavendersky? Or get you some prey? I haven’t seen Spiderbite today, he must be out of camp.”

"The mouse-brain decided he needed to do something urgently." Lavendersky huffed with a flick of her ear, tail unmoving behind her. "He has been making such a fuss as of late..." She meowed, attempting once again to get to her paws and move on her own. She didn't even manage to stand fully before the shakiness in her legs caused her to collapse in place. For all I know, Cliffheart has moved on as well... I could be alone already, and sending Spiderbite on a useless errand. Everything is already so heavy... "It seems my wary bones have given up on me." She finally admitted after a moment, "This elder has pushed her luck today, it would seem."

It was clear that Viperpaw knew how to fight, and that she was capable of dealing a brutal blow if she needed to. That was far easier to work with than having to do aimless spars with soft paws and gentle bites.

Having already had her claws dug in she crouched down to stay ontop of Lilith. Viperpaw knew this would be a good spot to deliver strong blows in a real battle, Viperpaw was glad she had gotten Lilith as a mentor. If she had gotten any other cat, they would be yelling at her the moment she unsheathed her claws, and plus, now she had double training, both Blackbird, and Lilith. Another addition to the fact she got a former rouge, was Lilith could understand Viperpaw's transition from the life she was used to, the life Blood and Claw forced me into..

It seemed that the pain hardly phased the rough she-cat. If anything, Lilith was grinning through it, the old adrenaline in her blood singing as she sneered. “If you want my respect, you’ll hold on even after this roll.” She ordered.

(Sorry for such short answer, don't really know what else to put XD, unless you waant another random flashback to her time with The Maulers (I actually got the rouge's group name from the prey maulers lol))

We’ll make a fighter out of you yet. You can get off now.” She decided, ignoring the trickle of blood she felt on her back. It would be easy to wash it off or blame it on a fall against the sharp stones in the cliff bases.

Briarpatch stepped to Lavendersky's side, making sure the she-cat knew she was there beforehand. "Here, lean on me. There's a nest not to far from us. I'll help you get settled into it, then I can go get you some prey. You've served our clan for a long time Lavendersky. You deserve to rest."

"I'm aware of the nest, it's mine." Lavendersky sniffed as she leaned on Briarpatch, shaking her head a bit. "A medicine cat's duties are never complete." She rumbled.

"I'm aware of the nest, it's mine." Lavendersky sniffed as she leaned on Briarpatch, shaking her head a bit. "A medicine cat's duties are never complete." She rumbled. Briarpatch walked carefully over to the nest, a deep heaviness settling over her as she remembered days of when she was a kit, bothering Lavendersky because she had been orphaned and alone. She wondered if Lavendersky remembered those days as well as she did. Shaking the nostalgia away, she helped Lavendersky get tucked into the nest. "I should have the apprentices come freshen up your nest for you too. It's rather flattened. Unless, you like it like that of course."

Lavendersky gave a small huff and settled into the nest again, after having attempted her best to escape it. You're an elder now, older than most to be honest with yourself. Starclan knows it was foolish to attempt to move. She rumbled to herself before tipping her head, listening to Briarpatch. "I have known few who actually enjoy such a pathetic nest. We are not those rabbit-brained Windclan twigs." She mumbled, shaking her head as she remembered those agonizing moons she spent in Windclan during the war. Never had she been so uncomfortable in her life. "Spiderbite has done his best... doing everything himself."

Briarpatch hummed in agreement, "He did well delivering my kits. I could tell he was stressed, but he stayed calm and everyone came back to camp healthy. He may have scolded me afterward for taking a walk so close to kitting." she mewed with a chuckle, "But it was nothing I couldn't handle. You taught him well Lavendersky."

"He is as sharp tongued as ever... I do hope in the future he does not lose that." Lavendersky meowed with a faint purr, though it was broken and rough sounding. "He reminds me so much of my younger years, how I scolded the whole clan for my rogue lineage, refusing to heal anyone that sided with Robinwing. I remember nearly getting into a brawl with Spiderbite's mother in her Dark Forest days before that klutz of a tom Whitesand knocked her senses in." she snickered softly, trying desperately to not start coughing. "I'll be leaving the clan in good paws, even if he doesn't realize it."

"I hope those days aren't upon us again. I worry for my kits." Briarpatch mewed honestly, her tail flicking nervously. She glanced toward the entrance of the den, dashing out the entrance. She returned only a moment later with a plump bird hanging from her jaws. "Here, Lavendersky. I brought a sparrow for you. You should eat something."
