Should we just make a chat page or something? xD Because really, there's more spam in this clan than there is in hawaii. And that joke is only clever if you know that spam is the state food of hawaii.
again with the race cards I CERTAINLY AM. xD who the heck needs a state food?? wHAT IS AMERICA the same country that needs a state fruit, a state grain, a state nut, and a state vegetable i HONESTLY DON'T KNOW

InconsistentNamePaw & ThatSavageOverThere
- About Time Rosepaw Cleaned up his Act - Probably A Future Murder Scene I Dunno With her muzzle half submerged in the fish speckled water, the ginger tabby watched with water blurred eyes as the tom hesitated at the shore. For some reason or another, it hadn't occurred to her that Rosepaw might be afraid of water; really, she'd have thought nothing could startle the tom. He was practically unshakable- or at least, he really liked to act like he was. Did he fall in when he was younger or something? To be honest, Sunnypaw hadn't paid all that much attention to the toms worries and fears... not that he'd ever let onto them in the first place. But she supposed that meant he wasn't going to swim, so she blew a fit of disappointed bubbles in his wake.
Really, Rosepaw was no fun, sometimes.
"Oh, are you tired?" Perking up slightly, the she-cat lifted brightly furred ears at this, and received a due slap of water to the face. It did little to dampen (metaphorically) her spirit though, and she all but snorted up water in her attempt not to laugh at herself. Even she found herself a bit foolish and funny at times. "No, I'll join you! It's not safe going out alone." With this having been said, the exuberant burst of sun awkwardly began to clamber out of the water, her now soaked pelt as clean as it would ever be after her gallivant through the territory. "After all, what would happen if the heat got to you? It could happen to anyone, and I don't want you expiring on me!" Pausing a brief few steps away so as to not spray her fellow apprentice, Sunnypaw quickly threw her body into a vigorous shake, sending wiggles through her from head to tail. After she had done that, she blinked her eyes a few times and stumbled on unsteady paws. Her fur now spiked and dripping, the apprentice looked like a funny little mess with her wide blue eyes and usual doofy expression. "You should really take a drink or two while we're out here. It'd be annoying getting back to camp and then having to leave again for water, wouldn't it?"

Roasttoast & Soupyslop{ late afternoon // lake trembling }
Rosepaw stifled an exasperated sigh. Not safe going out alone. What a joke. As if he couldnโt handle himself. As if he hadnโt been alone when sheโd first stumbled in and ruined his hunt. As if she hadnโt been alone. His claws sank unbidden into the ground, fully aware there was no arguing with Sunnypaw. She did as she pleased, when she pleased. Frankly, Rosepaw would gladly volunteer to sit vigil for the day Sunnypaw took her shenanigans too far and joined their ancestors. Possibly in the Dark Forest.
What?
Just because the she-cat was bubbly and energetic and disgustingly nice didnโt mean she was going to StarClan. Who knew what kind of hideous manifestations lurked beneath that bright-eyed stare of hers. Vile.
โExpire!?โ The tom rounded on her, ears flattened against his skull, โI wonโt โexpireโ, you detestable creature. Agh! And can you not shake so close to me? Youโre getting water everywhere.โ His nose twitched where a water droplet had landed on his muzzle. It was dry within seconds, but he could still feel it.
Rosepaw turned away, still fuming. He tried to keep his pawsteps light and brisk, but a boiling soup of agitation and anger made his paws heavy and clumsy. Twigs snapped and crunched beneath his footfalls, only adding fuel to the fire. The day was only going to get worse, he knew, unless he could successfully sneak back into camp undetected. But with Sunnypaw trailing him that would be an near-impossible feat.
Speaking of which, he glanced back at her, eyes narrowing into a glare, โDonโt forget your wren, mousebrain. No sense in going back to camp empty pawed.โ Especially not with all Rosepaw had been through. How long had it been? Not even an hour, he would think. But it felt longer. Every second spent in Sunnypawโs overwhelming presence was an excruiating eternity.
Was that an exaggeration?
Maybe just a tad.

Tawnybee & Heavystar - - Early Afternoon - - Camp
Hm.. no reply yet. Of course. Either they were sleeping like lazy-loons, or everyone was out. Just her luck. As she was about to open her mouth again, a familiar voice came from behind her. Unfortunately, she was not expecting this, and made a small jump into the air with a little 'eep!'. She hit her head on a low-hanging branch, which was apart of the roof. "Ouch! Stupid twig!" She cursed at it, pulling her head out of the den and rubbing it with a paw. Carefully she inspected her paw, making sure there wasn't any blood. She wasn't hurt, but it sure felt like a little bump was starting to form on her head! "Oh, Heavystar." Her tone sounded slightly annoyed, but she continued on calmly, "I've been meaning to speak with you, actually. Would you mind meeting with me this evening over some fresh-kill? Allow me to bring it, if you will." She winced slightly at how that sounded. What if a magpie, gossip-loving cat had heard that and misunderstood? They'd be mocked for looking like a couple! She quickly cleared her throat and added, "Strict Clan business, of course. We have some important things to discuss." Her tail whipped with a flourish to one side as she took a glance back into the Warriors' den, mumbling a bit about how some warriors are lazy.
"Have you sent any patrols out, by chance? The den seems empty, and earlier patrols should have returned by now." She would not be angry, of course. Heavystar was allowed to assign patrols himself, of course. That would explain why there seemed to be no one around. She may be able to just lead one by herself, with two or three other cats. Or assess some mentors training their apprentices. Either would be a good thing to do this time of day. Tawnybee moved her head a bit with annoyance after a mosquito buzzed by her ear. Pesky bugs... She hated this time of year with a passion. Although it brought plenty of fresh-kill for all, it also brought swarms of that annoying pest of a bug, the mosquito. Heavystar - Early Afternoon - Camp
Ah, here she was... going on with all that rigid formal talk. Heavystar had never been a fan of stiff conversations like this, really; they'd always made him want to squirm like there were inchworms creeping through his fur, and yes, he had experienced something akin to that when he was an apprentice. But he never questioned it or stopped it, because he knew that was simply how Tawnybee worked. She took herself seriously and worked by pattern, and he would never want to take that away from her with his leisurely ideals.
"Not at all," he meowed, his tone soft but altogether strained. With the end of his long, feathered tail flicking like an agitated wasp, the monolithic tom gave a small nod of his head in response to the she-cat. "Though please, let me at least help you bring the food," he requested, his tone spliced with a delicate laugh and an awkward plead. "I can't let you do all the work, now can I?" This was followed by another little chuckle, and a slight scrunch of the eyes. Heaven only knows how guilty he'd feel if he just sat around while she fetched him meals. Honestly, sometimes this she-cat was too good; good to the point that it made him feel put out, and at the mention of 'strict clan business', this feeling only grew. "Of course," was all he replied with, and a twisting feeling in his gut. He really did appreciate Tawnybee's work driven mind set, as it really did help the clan... he just wished he could stomach it himself.
Well, I would at least like to see how she's doing since we haven't really talked in a while, he thought for a moment or two as the yellow of his gaze focused on the honey of hers. I mean, we do work together so it'd be convenient to know how she's doing mentally. If she's stressed, I can take over for a while until she recovers. Ah, but Tawnybee could handle a lot couldn't she? He doubted she'd actually partake in any idle chatter he even attempted to establish, unless he attached it to something business related. She'd always been kinda weird like that; he'd seen it himself, since he had already been a young warrior by the time she was in her apprenticeship.
Sighing through his teeth, the tom cast his gaze to the side. "Unfortunately, I haven't," he admitted, a slight hint of shame tinting the corner of his words. Taking note of the near empty den, however, he perked up just slightly. "I presume work sometimes does itself, huh?" He doubted Tawnybee would agree, and as soon as he said this, he knew he should back it up with something-- no, completely forget he said it. "Would you like to go out on a walk together? You can discuss those things you mentioned earlier, and we can pick up prey on the way. It'll save you time later for other things." Tawnybee & Heavystar - - Afternoon - - Camp
Ah, that face... Heavystar was not enjoying her formal tone, as usual. He's a leader, he should be used to all this by now... She didn't understand how he had a hard time taking his position seriously sometimes. How could be not? An entire Clan of cats was looking to him for guidance and leadership. Before she was able to remind him of this fact, he asked a rather peculiar question. A walk? Was he serious?? As Tawnybee opened her mouth to retort about how much work still had to be done, she closed it in thought. It seemed cats were already busying themselves, and she never really did take a break... Not to mention this walk may give them some more time and freedom to discuss what she wanted to. Something her mother used to tell her echoed in the back of her mind, Before you please others, it's important to please yourself! Don't forget that, child! Which she would always eagerly reply, 'Of course, mama! I won't forget!'. Perhaps it's time to take her advice... She hadn't been out on a casual walk for... how long would it have been? Moons? Seasons? Tawnybee was a bit reluctant, but carefully replied, "Well... I suppose it won't hurt. But we must be back before sunset!" She then remembered it was about time for a hunting patrol to go out, and quickly added, "Would you mind if we did some hunting as well?" Of course she'd also have to pick that bone with him about him taking his position more seriously... but perhaps that could wait a little...
(SORRY ITS NOT THE BEST I AM A DISGRACE TO MISTCLAN ;A; *shrivels up in corner*)

Sleetpaw & Brightpaw // terrorizing sleetpaw in the middle of camp
It almost happened in slow motion. The silver-grey apprentice heard a kerfluffle of paws on grass behind him and turned around just in time to see Brightpaw come flying at him. His eyes widened in horror, mistaking her clumsiness for an unwarranted attack on his person, and he tried in vain to leap out of the way. Unfortunately, this only led to a full-on collision with the other apprentice that ended with a spectacular thud on the ground.
What did I do to deserve this treatment? I didn't mean to upset her! Why would my own clanmate do this to me? Sleetpaw thought miserably. Unless this is some part of my training, and my mentor set this up beforehand. He wriggled out from under the zealous she-cat and bristled out his fur, trying to look intimidating but instead coming off as a mildly frightening pom pom. "W-w-watch where you're going!" he growled, only to find that she was looking at him with a rather oblivious and apologetic expression. He flattened his ears, extremely confused, as his mind sped into overdrive.
Is this still part of the test? Is she just pretending to look embarrassed so I'll feel sorry for her and she can catch me off-guard? He swallowed a hard lump his throat. "I-I w-was just t-taking this filthy bedding out of the elders' den. Why?"
Dustwind & Ebonysigh & Sootbriar // outside the warriors' den
Ebonysigh froze in place as the grey warrior flicked his tail over her ear. The fur along her spine prickled up at his touch, and she quickly ducked her head and gave her chest an embarrassed lick to avoid making eye contact with him. "If the lake went dry, it would probably be my fault," she moaned.
"Bored? Bored with this conversation, maybe," Dustwind scowled, rolling his eyes. He flexed his claws in and out of their sheathes, plucking idly at the grass under his paws. His mouth twitched side-ways in a wry half-smile as he met Sootbriar's gaze. "At least some cats in this clan still have their senses about them." Sootbriar was a respectable warrior, unlike the flustered black she-cat in front of them.

Sootbriar & Ebonysigh & Dustwind | outside the warrior's den .
Rolling his green eyes at Ebonysigh's moan, Sootbriar could help but smirk at her lick of embarrassment. Maybe he had flustered her a bit and a bit was good enough for him. "If you think it would be your fault, then you can take the blame when it happens, alright?" he told her, glancing at Dustwind for a moment. He could tell the tom was annoyed by the black she-cat which didn't surprise him. With self-esteem like hers, who wouldn't be annoyed?
"Since you're as bored as I am, Dustwind, I suppose the three of us could go on a hunting patrol of our own," the grey feline suggested, flicking his tail over Ebonysigh's ears again. It was fun to tease her for he got a bit of a kick out of it. He shared a wry smirk with the tom across from him, only to be amused by his clanmates actions. "Is there a specific place either of you like to hunt? To me, it doesn't matter but I am fond of the Trembling Aspens."

Dustwind & Ebonysigh & Sootbriar // outside the warriors' den .
Ebonysigh shivered again as Sootbriar trailed his tail over her ears. She stared at him with wide blue-green eyes, unable to distinguish teasing from flirting. It probably wasn't the latter; why would any cat want to spend time with someone as irritating and lacking in self-confidence as her? She gave a small shrug. "That would be fine," she mumbled, privately hoping Dustwind wouldn't join them. She wouldn't mind spending time alone with Sootbriar - or any tom, really - so long as it wasn't with that cranky brown furball.
Dustwind closed his eyes, brow knit in frustration. Is it too much to ask to be left alone for one afternoon? "I suppose," he grunted, rising to his paws and stretching. "You can never serve your Clan too much. The Trembling Aspens it is." He twitched his ears forward and flicked his tail toward the camp exit, a gesture for Sootbriar to lead. He would only accompany his clanmates for the sake of Mistclan. It wouldn't look good for him to just sit around all day, even if he had already done his fair share of work. Though, in reality, he had only attended one patrol, but it had been a ridiculously long one. Either way, he'd had enough of being social for one day.

Brightpaw {& Sleetpaw}
| afternoon in camp, possibly considering eating the poofy marshmallow cat in front of her |
Sadly for poor Sleetpaw, Brightpaw barely took notice of his puffed-up size and annoyed growl, which may have been more off-putting from a, well, scarier looking cat, but from Sleetpaw it honestly just came off as quite amusing to the other apprentice. She stifled the amused purr rising in her throat, but her whiskers still gave a tell-tale twitch and a quiver.
"Oh, bedding!" she chirped, clearly having only now noticed the bedding Sleetpaw had been dealing with. He wasn't wrong - it was pretty filthy, and even though her face looked mildly disgusted for a heartbeat, her eyes brightened up again so fast that it could have been imagined. "I can help! I'm great at getting more bedding! Oh, oh, bet I can get more than you - I'll race you!" she continued with ever-increasing volume, enthusiasm, and velocity until she was practically yelling in the smaller apprentice's ears.
Practically jumping out of her paws at this point, Brightpaw lifted one of her great white paws to give Sleetpaw an unintentionally sharp, overenthusiastic prod in the shoulder that could probably topple an unaware victim.
"And then we can do something actually fun! Some of the other apprentices are around- we can... more racing! Battle moves! Hunting! Oh, I know, tree climbing! Sounds great, right?" she concluded, now staring, wide-eyed with expectation at Sleepaw - and looking about a heartbeat away from accidentally-on-purposely trying to floor him. Again. If it wasn't already pretty clear, Brightpaw was far more a doer than a thinker. As far as she believed, the best warriors were the fighters and the hunters, with the brawn and the power; not the planners, with the brainpower and sensibility to solve a problem without tackling it to ground. But then, that probably wasn't too uncommon for young apprentices like herself.

Thistlenose {& Frostcrag }
| early afternoon in the camp for inconsistent characters |
Thistlenose always thought he liked green-leaf best until it actually came upon them in all its humid, sticky glory. In his mind, green-leaf was always idyllic - birds chirped quietly from up high, and the sunlight filtered through the trees, which cast enough shade to soften the heat. The forest would be rustling with life, and the floor would be cool and damp under Clan paws.
For a cat of logic, he couldn't work out why his expectations, after all of these moons, were still thwarted by the reality.
The too-warm air was too still, too sticky, too heavy. Fatigue and dehydration came too fast in the heat, so by the end of a good hunting patrol, the sounds of the forest sounded mocking to his ears. The sun beat down endlessly and mercilessly, and rose painfully early. Oh, and was it just him, or was his scruff, smoky-grey coat just locking the heat in?
Laying, relaxed (if somewhat uncomfortable), at the edge of camp, the large warrior observed his own apprentice, Tumblingpaw, with his sister and the other pair of apprentices from across the camp. Well: his mind and eyes were there, but he wasn't actually paying any attention to what they were saying or doing. So long as they were all keeping their paws out of trouble, Thistlenose was in no hurry to move. The only thing that sounded worse than sitting in this formidable heat, was training in this formidable heat.
Perhaps Tumblingpaw and Ticklepaw should train together more often, he considered, still watching through sleep-addled eyes. Would it give him more confidence, or just give him a reason to not come out of his shell? Thistlenose had never been one for the training apprentices together... thing. For no reason beyond the fact that he'd never thought much about how beneficial it could be, and he wasn't one to seek out the company of others. And neither was Tumblingpaw, come to mention it, so they made quite the pair of loners as a mentor and apprentice. Maybe Ticklepaw would enjoy training with her brother, too - after all, it seemed clear to him that the siblings were close. A seed now planted in his mind, he raised his head and tried to blink away the warm tiredness in his eyes to seek out Ticklepaw's large, white-furred mentor: maybe she was in camp. Though not the number one socialite of MistClan, Thistlenose did like to bounce ideas off his Clanmates once he had an idea in mind.
[ heck, i'm changing her name to 'Frostcrag' because i like it better. ]
Heroface & Pricklesniff - Early Afternoon - Chumps With Rumps Headquarters
Similar to most every other cat in MistClan, Frostcrag was no stranger to the summer's baring grin of heat, or it's humid, panting breath. She knew how every wind, no matter how generous, didn't little in the ways of relief, as it only stirred around what was already in the air. She also knew that she was entirely grateful for the light coloring of her pelt, because if she had been- say- a black cat, she'd have more than likely died.
"Enjoying the weather, Thistlenose?"
With her stark white pelt as clean and pure as new snow (which she very much wished she had), the white she-cat that was Frostcrag was suddenly-- well-- there. Having slid from the warrior's den and into the heat-clouded camp, the she-cat was soon met with the sight of her apprentice, and with her apprentice was Thistlenose's apprentice; and with a little searching, she'd then found the mentor himself.
"I have to admit, I'm not too big a fan of it myself... I feel as if I'm roasting beneath my pelt!"
Sitting a couple of tail lengths away, so as to give the tom his well deserved space, the she-cat gave a tired chuckle of a purr. She did indeed look like she wasn't doing the best, with her strained look of tightly held cool, and the slight flicking of her thickly furred tail. Yes, while her pelt was as pale as anything, that didn't change the fact that it was thicker than the heat itself. Apparently, it had swapped out color for texture.
Casting her gaze towards their two apprentices, the she-cat quickly studied the two siblings for just a moment before curiously peering over at the delicate face of the tom beside her. "How's Tumblingpaw's training coming, if I might ask?"

{Hmmm how about Cypresswind X3 and I can start.}
Finchpelt | Afternoon | Camp
Finchpelt looked around Mistclan's camp trying to find someone to either go hunting or a border patrol. He mostly wanted to do a border patrol, but he wasn't picking with hunting either. He just needed to find a partner to go with, the dark brown tabby looked around and puffed out his cream chest, he does that in aggravation. He continued to pace back and forth wondering who to ask. Usually, he would go out alone but he didn't want to do that today, he was having an off day and he honestly didn't want to pick any more fights. He wasn't in the mood, he just wanted company maybe someone who he could pick on, well on friendly terms. That would be good, but for now, he wanted to focus on the Clan. "Alright, who would be willing to go with me?" he asked mostly to himself he looked around himself again and there was nobody that would want to go with him. He sighed and decided to sit for a bit and just wait. He knew he probably looked pathetic, but he didn't care. He didn't know what to do he wasn't the one to ask about stuff like this. And it's gonna be awkward for him, he's brave and tough and yet he can't ask a single cat if they would like to go hunting or on a border patrol with him. How pathetic is that? he thought to himself.
