sweetclover1: Foxclaw paused for a moment as he turned around, watching the smaller she-cat come limping over to him with her fish. It was quite clear that her paw was hurting more now, but he didn't want to feel sympathy about it. Maybe she should have listened to him in the first place. "What?" He meowed rather stubbornly, lashing his tail.
sɪʟᴠᴇʀᴏᴡʟ ☾: Smallstar was beginning to be quite impressed with Tidepool as she tracked down the small creature. It was clear that the she-cat could be a great warrior one day, he was proud that she had chosen to become a member of SeaClan. "Alright," he meowed softly, green eyes spying the shrew in the distance. Belly fur sweeping against the ground, the small tabby tom stalked forward, stopping a short distance away. He was just about ready to pounce when there was a sudden appearance for a Twoleg, the shrew instantly running off. Letting out a small hiss of annoyance, Smallstar slunk back towards Tidepool, tail lashing. "Let's get out of here, this Twoleg will have scared everything off now."

lilypaw and her mentor arrived at camp, and she put her fish in the fresh-kill pile, padding to the apprentice den. then the apprentice remembered that they had to fetch the other fish. she hoped no one would steal it.

Foxclaw stared for a moment at the she-cat, almost starting to feel a little sorry for her. "Will you now admit that you need to go back to camp and get your paw fixed?" If she agreed to that then he might finally start feeling better again. "I'm just trying to look out for you, Foamwhisper. Admitting you need help is not going to change anything."
{Suuure thang}
Swiftsky watched her apprentice for a moment before gesturing towards the camp entrance again. "Come on, Lilypaw, it's only one more trip and then you can eat." Then they could both eat.

The silver she cat bristled for a moment, her eyes flashing with something like wounded pride. "Fine." She mumbled, stalking in front of him, attempting to walk on her injured paw. She let out a soft hiss, a mixture of pain and frustration. The petite warrior loathed the medicine cats den, and needing to ask for help. Out of her littermates she was always the one capable, never the one needing help. She didn't want to make Foxclaw upset, so she finally caved in and began to head back to the camp. She avoided any roots that she could, now wary of them.

Foxclaw was quite pleased that Foamwhisper had finally given in, it was only for her own good that she had. "Good," he meowed with a nod of his head before turning his attention to Hawkpaw. "Come on Hawkpaw, we're heading back. Bring that fish with you." He would carry it himself, but he had another idea in mind. "Lean on me, try and put as little weight on your paw as possible."
Swiftsky lead the way back to their fish, quite pleased to find it still there. Picking up as much of it as she could, she waited for Lilypaw to get the rest of it from the hiding place before she started to walk back to camp again. It was good that it wasn't a far distance, so before too long she was back in camp, placing the final fish onto the pile. "There, that's much better," she stated with a smile as she looked at the fresh-kill. "Now we can eat."

Sure! You can choose! I'll post a starter for each one of my cats!)
Halfpaw padded around camp nervously, the last time her mentor took her out for hunting practice, she didn't do so well. The she-cat tought intensely about what she should do about it, otherwise, she wouldn't be qualified enought to be a warrior. The small apprentice got down on her haunches and attempted a hunter's crouch.
Rainstride had just arrived from a quick hunt. He padded over to the fresh-kill pile and dropped the two mice he was carrying by their tails. The warrior picked a medium-sized fish for himself and sat down to eat, nibbling carefully at the piece of prey as he watched the movement around camp.
Oceancall had just woken up from a afternoon nap. She stretched and sleepily stuck her dark grey head out of the warrior's den. The she-cat looked up to the sky. It was a good-looking day, the sun was shining and birdsong could be heard. The warm climate gave off a peacefull atmosphere.

As Smallstar bounded away, Tidepool stood still, transfixed by the Twoleg, as it got closer and closer. She held her breath as the Twoleg cooed, advancing towards the small gray cat on the ground, who was in turn awed by the strangeness of the beast. The curiosity of one species mirroed by the curiosity of another. The trance was broken as pain shot through her foreleg, a sliver of rock sticking in between her pawpads, reminding her of the danger that was imminent. Tidepool hissed, her paws scrambling on the dirt and rocks as she realized her mistake and bolted for cover. Jumping into a low-lying bush, praying her heavy breathing wouldn't alert the Twoleg to where she was hiding. Tidepool, you mouse-brain! she berated herself, sinking her claws into the dirt.

[ Sorry for poofing, I went out for lunch. ]
Minnowpaw worried a lot. He worried about everything. If there would be enough freshkill for everyone, if he would do well enough in training to impress his mentor, if they would run into unfriendly rogues while on patrol. He even worried about the least consequential thing, such as where his mentor was. He had no clue where Rowanheart was; out on patrol, possibly. If he was, he hadn't returned yet. Oh, what if he got swept away by a rogue wave? Or attacked by a stray dog? Patrols don't normally take that long! The only logical explanation was that something dreadful must have happened to him. The mottled silver-grey apprenticed paced anxiously outside the apprentices' den, back and forth, back and forth, his tail lashing from side to side, until suddenly he bumped into another cat. "Oh! Oh," he yelped, fur bushing out as he hastily scrambled backward. "I-I'm sorry, H-Halfpaw! I, uh, I didn't see you there," he stammered apologetically, blushing furiously at his clumsiness. How will I ever be a good warrior if I can't even watch where I put my own paws? Oh, Starclan.

Sure, Foxclaw!) It's okay! I poofed too...)
Halfpaw happened to trip on a twig that grew neaby with Minnowpaw's bump and fell down to her paws, raising a cloud of dust. "Huh? It's okay, Minnowpaw." She said, scrambling up to face the other apprentice. "What's keeping your fur off? You look like you just offered a pair of wings to sharks and brought a whole lot of them to camp." The black and white, short apprentice accused playfully examining Minnowpaw with her pale green gaze for any sign of mischief or any suspect scents that might be hidden in the cat's silvery-gray pelt.

Lightshade had woken up not long ago and made his way out of the warrior's den. After finding a pleasant little patch of sunlight just outside the entrance, he'd sat down to clean himself and bask in the calm weather. Movement at the entrance drew his attention from a pesky piece of twig stuck between his claws and he cast the dark gray she a glance, an amused purr resonating in his chest. "Good morning, Oceancall."

Minnowpaw stiffened, his pale yellow-green eyes widening at the horrific thought of winged sharks. How dreadful that would be! He swallowed nervously, acutely aware of her looking him up and down. I hope I look okay, he thought, his mouth dry. I hope she likes me okay. It would be nice to maybe have a friend...
"Oh, um, I, uh, I d-don't know where my mentor is. I-I thought something terrible might have happened to him," he mewed shakily, cheeks reddening. If only he weren't so shy. She probably hated him already. Minnowpaw couldn't bear the thought of what she might say next.

{eeeeya!
sweetclover1, I'm gonna wait for Jay to get here to reply with Foxclaw so we don't leave Hawkpaw behind.}
Smallstar was quick to bound out of sight, he had been expecting Tidepool to follow him, but when he turned his head his green eyes widened when he realised the she-cat hadn't moved. "What are you doing?" He hissed, keeping himself out of sight. Finally, the she-cat did move herself, leaping behind a bush. Smallstar kept himself low as he moved over to her, touching her shoulder with his tail. "Are you alright?" He asked with a voice laced with concern, but there was no time to stand around with the Twoleg about. "Come on, we need to get moving."

lilypaw's eyes sparkled at the sound that she could eat. she picked a fish, and started to eat. the flavor of fish overwhelmed her. she took another bite from the prey, and savored it by chewing it slowly. after the hungry and tired day, food and sleep was the best present.
