hahaha you're good c':
Flintpath had been completely aware of the arguing that had gone on not too long ago. But, he preferred to stay out of pointless, at least, in his opinion, clan drama, so he had stopped himself from saying anything. Just then, he realized he'd been sitting in camp doing nothing for a majority of the day. Almost instantly he 'casually' got up onto his paws, yawning, looking around to see if anyone was noticing his laziness. He caught the eye of Redheart and sighed inwardly. 'Uh-oh.' He thought, deciding it'd be best if he asked to join a patrol. He padded over to the deputy as casually as he could, and meowed, "Is there a patrol I cold join? I haven't had the chance to do much today..." He trailed off, wondering if he was about to be yelled at.

"Yeah, that's actually what I wanted to talk to you about." Redheart paused. "Swiftflight and I are taking a hunting patrol out, I was wondering if you weren't too busy and wanted to join? Right now, it's just us two." The deputy tilted her head to the side, waiting.

Flintpath nodded with obvious enthusiasm. "Yes! I've been stuck in camp, I'd do anything to get out." He meowed, a hint of laughter in his voice. "Is there anyone else you want to bring? I can get them.." He meowed, but as he looked around, he saw the majority of other clan mates doing their own thing, so he realized the answer was probably no.

Redheart shrugged. "If you can find someone else, that's great, but if you can't, that's fine too." The red tabby she-cat glanced around as well, following Flintpath's gaze around the common area. "If it looks like everyone is busy, the three of us will do."

Flintpath nodded slowly. "Yup, seems like everyone has their own things to do." He said, returning his gaze to the she-cat. "Then let's go!" He meowed with a smile on his face, excited to be out of camp. The tom generally loved being out of camp and in the territory, so he was enthusiastic to get out after being in camp all day long.

"Alright. Come on." Redheart turned around and returned to where Swiftflight was sitting. "I found Flintpath for our patrol, but everyone else seems to be busy." Or avoiding me. "Where did you want to go hunt?" 🍁Searipple101🍁

Sorry I poofed. I was drawing ^^")
"I don't care," the black and white tom replied, seeming uninterested. As long they went out and did something, he didn't care where they hunted at all. Any place was fine. "I guess we could try Three Claws," he offered with a shrug of his dark shoulders. "Any ideas, Flintpath?" he asked the other tom.

Flintpath thought for a moment. "Hmm, Three Claws is a good idea, or we could try Founders Field? There might be some mice or birds there." He suggested, glancing between the two cats, hoping he didn't say the wrong thing. Flintpath could be like that a lot; Scared of saying the wrong thing, especially in front of those of a higher power than him.

"Founder's Field sounds good." Redheart mewed. "I've already been hunting in Three Claws today, I'm afraid. Swiftflight, did you want to lead the patrol?" The deputy turned to the black and white tom, wondering what he would say.

Slight surprise sparked in his deep green eyes for a moment, but he quickly blinked it away then shrugged. "Sure, if you want me to. Doesn't matter," he mewed, then turned and exited camp. Why does she want me to lead when she's the deputy? he thought, but pushed the thought away. It's not like he would complain or anything. Silently, he padded between trees, ears pricked for any sounds of anything but the patrol's own paws.

Redheart turned and followed Swiftflight out of the camp. I know it's up to Troutstar to choose the second deputy, but if he asks about Swiftflight I might put in a good word for him, the she-cat thought.

Flintpath followed, picking up the rear of the patrol. He listened to the sounds of the forest with a small smile on his face. The tom loved the territory, and he could stay out of camp call day and night if he wanted to. Digging his claws in the earth as they walked, he itched to chase a mouse, rabbit, or something and grew more excited with every step.

What season is it, by the way? Just so I can describe stuff better. I haven't noticed it said anywhere, so sorry if it is)
Swiftflight padded on, leading the patrol to Founder's Field as they wished, bird song sounding above him in the trees. At the field he hoped to find a rabbit. With his long legs and lithe frame, he was exceptionally good at running and being light on his paws. A rabbit would be a fun catch and great food for the clan. I just hope I don't mess anything up leading this patrol with the deputy here. The trees soon began to thin and the field grew closer and closer beyond them.

(It can be late greenleaf, I haven't put in a season or weather track xD you're ok)
Redheart scented the air as the patrol carried on. Crow, mice, squirrels... the usual prey-scents. Other than her stupid argument with Troutstar earlier, the whole area seemed peaceful, with not even the looming threat of leaf-fall to deter it.
(what do you guys say about a fox or wolverine attack...?)

That sounds fun c:
Flintpath flexed his claws as they reached the open field, scenting all the prey that was there, making his mouth water slightly. Without saying anything, he scented the air towards a mouse, and began to stalk towards the scent, although he couldn't pinpoint exactly where it was coming from.

Fox! We're gonna torment Swiftflight a little bit :3)
Swiftflight left the trees behind as he entered the taller grass of Founder's Field. Opening his jaws, scents of prey filled his lungs, igniting primal excitement, though, none of it showed to the others. One scent in particular really sent a shiver of excitement down his spine. Rabbit, and the wind was in their favor. "There's a rabbit here.I'm going to go for it and catch it," he meowed in a hushed tone, taking very light pawsteps further into the field.

EDIT
"You're right. Did you want me to flush it out?" Redheart whispered to her clanmate. The thought of a chase was getting her blood pumping.

As Flintpath stalked closer and closer to the scent, he could also smell something a little more distant, something he'd smelled before, a long time ago. 'No! I want to at least catch this mouse first.' He thought to himself, stalking forward. There it was, the small mouses tail appeared behind a blade of grass. The strange smell grew stronger, but he was going to catch this mouse.

Sorry, Nido XD)
Swiftflight nodded, keeping his jaws open and letting the breeze locate the rabbit for him. "It's upwind from us, so this shouldn't be too hard. If you get running in my direction, I can definitely get it," he told the red deputy, very eager to get this catch. It even showed in his voice, whether he wanted it to or not.

"Alright." Redheart sunk into a crouch and manuevered counter clockwise around the scent of the rabbit. The rabbit wasn't too deep into the field, but it did take Redheart several moments to get where she needed to be. At this distance, she couldn't communicate with her clanmate to know that he was ready; she would just have to trust in him. The scent of rabbit made her mouth water as she inched closer to the scent; having sight on their quarry would make chasing it out easier. when she sighted her rabbit, she almost felt bad; it was skinny and small, yet not a baby. The clan must be fed, she told herself, before lunging from her hiding place.

The rabbit's head shot up instantly, and it took off through the grasses as fast as its little legs would carry it. Swiftflight was more than ready, and when he heard and then saw the brown blur shoot out from the weeds, he raced after it, coming from an adjacent angel. He wasn't far behind as they ran, having had a good spot to wait and having StarClan on their side. The tom pushed his body hard to go faster, his paws barely touching the ground as he almost flew after the rabbit, demonstrating how he had earned his name. With a little extra power to pounce, his claws caught the prey's hind leg's and it tripped. Swiftflight was on it in a heartbeat and killed it with a quick bite to the neck. He sat down, stopping the prey at his paws and panted, but he was so proud of the kill, even if it was such a skinny thing.

The mouse Flintpath had been stalking heard the nearby footsteps of his clan mates, and was about to run away into the nearby trees until the tom cat pounced right on its back and gave it a killing bite. It wasn't the biggest mouse, but it'd fill someones belly. Now that he could focus on the strange scent, he dropped the mouse and sniffed the air a couple times. Was that.. fox? It didn't seem to far away, which made his heart skip a beat. Jogging over to his clanmates, he meowed, "Do you guys scent fox, or is that just me?" He asked cautiously.

Redheadt sprinted to catch up with Swiftflight. "Good catch," she panted, and then at Flintpath's words, "Fox? What fox?" She realized her mistake though, as soon as the words left her mouth the overwhelming smell of the predator hit her like a smack to her face.

Swiftflight's blood ran cold at the mention that an orange beast could be nearby. He prayed to StarClan it wasn't true, but through the scent of the freshly caught rabbit and him equaling out his breaths again, he, too, smelled the horrifying odor, the smell almost burning his nose and lungs and mind with past nightmares. He stiffened and started looking around rather frantically for anything moving or anything russet colored in the distance, his heart pounding hard against his chest. It was one fo the few times fear came off the tom in waves.

A crying Nidoking : Ashstep knew that picking the new deputy was kind of a big deal, especially with Troutstar being on his last life and not in the best of shape anymore, but all the drama was just ridiculous. "I agree," the tom meowed as he padded alongside the she-cat, turning his head a little to look over at her. "I just want this whole deputy business out of the way so things can go back to normal and everyone can stop arguing." Even if arguing was normal, it did get annoying.

"There!" Redheart hissed, spotting the creature's red head bobbing above the grass - coming towards them. Instantly, her mouth contorted into a snarl, and her hackles rose.
Whitesky fell into pace beside her clanmate. She yawned, and mewed, "Arguing is such a bore." Ahead of them, the trickle of water could be heard, tinkling in the distance.

Swiftflight's eyes caught the movement as well, and his fur was instantly standing on end, bushed up to where he looked almost twice is normal size, but his eyes were as big as moons. He slowly stood then grabbed the rabbit in his jaws, gaze transfixed on the orange head coming right for them. Then, he took off, spinning around quickly and bolting back in the forest towards camp, rabbit still in his jaws and fear flooding his body.

(apologies for the poof)
"Swiftflight! No! Wait!" Redheart cried, almost running after him. "We- we have to lead the fox away from the camp!" Redheart wanted to sob. The fox was probably after the fresh-kill Swiftflight had in his jaws... And now she had to distract him. But I have never backed down from a challenge. Redheart whirled around to meet the fox head-on just as it came crashing out of the grass and into the patrol.

Swiftflight's mind whirled with almost nothing but fear. He just wanted to get away. It felt like his tail tip was on fire as he ran back into the trees, like it felt as if the fox was taking his tail all over again. Redheart's words didn't even seem to reach his ears, but a thought did flash in his mind, the faces of the red she-cat and Flintpath. His paws skidded to a stop and he looked back, heart still racing and eyes still wide with terror. But...I can't leave them. He dropped the rabbit and hissed to himself. Be brave. Be a warrior. Help your clanmates! He gritted his teeth and ran back, but made a wide half-circle as he did so. If he was really going to fight a fox, then no way was he going for it head on in the front.
