The rogue merely flicked an ear, as if enjoying her aggressiveness. "Perhaps we should save this one... The boss might think she has potential."
A second cat- a brown tom with gray stripes- hissed at the black tom who had spoken. "Will Sh- will The Pure One allow her?"
"No, he won't," came a snarl. Rocketpaw glanced at the third cat with dismay. They were out numbered. The third cat was a light gray with white tabby markings. Her claw glinted and he could only see one side of her face. Then she turned to look at him and Rocketpaw stumbled away from her. She laughed. "Scared of a missing eye? You're definitely worth killing. And The Pure One hates cats like her." The she-cat gave Aspenpaw a look of pure loathing. Emotions shot through Rocketpaw ad his first distinguished though was- Will Aspenpaw make it out alive? I don't want her to die!

Aspenpaw fought back tears. "Why wouldn't you want me?" She then looked closely at the brown tom. "Hawk?!"

He hissed at her. "Oh yes, Aspen," he crowed. "It's me." The first cat, the black tom, snarled defiantly.
"Remember me? I'm Shadowblaze," he growled. The she-cat flicked her tail.
"Enough. All she needs to know is that I am Revenge. And I am going to have the honour of killing her. You two, get the other one." Rocketpaw stumbled back and tripped over a tree root as the toms closed in on him. His only thought? Help!

"No .." She hiss-mumbled. "I'm not going to have your kits, and I'm not going to become your mate." She got ready to fight.

Revenge chuckled at Aspenpaw's comment. "Oh, he's over you, sweetheart. He's got a mate. I suppose he'd like to kill you, but only I have that privilege." She flicked her tail and unsheathed her claw, growling as she closed in on Aspenpaw.
Shadowblaze flicked his tail at Hawk, and the brown tabby pinned Rocketpaw down.
"S-Shadowblaze?" said Rocketpaw, recognition dawning in his eyes. "Weren't you the medicine cat who went rogue?"
Shadowblaze sniffed. "So that's how I'm remembered. No, kittypet, I didn't go rogue. I chose a better path, one that so happens to mean working with Revenge." Then he laughed, unsheathed his claws and hissed, "Now I can enjoy killing you, warrior apprentice."
Rocketpaw scrabbled at Hawk's paw. "I'm a medicine cat apprentice!" Shadowblaze paused for a second, pity flashing in his eyes before he continued forward while saying, "It doesn't matter. You're dying, kittypet."

Aspenpaw hissed and tried to attack Revenge. Lungs heaving with effort, the truth was obvious. Aspenpaw was weakening. She hoped Rocketpaw wouldn't notice, for he would fuss over her and tell her to let him protect her.

Revenge gave a malicious smile as she noticed what Aspenpaw had realised- she was tiring. "Now now, honey. We want a clean kill, since the Pure One- or Winter's Cry, as you would know her- will want to enjoy feasting on your dead body."
Rocketpaw's breath grew rapid as Shadowblaze closed in with a snarl. Overcome with panic, he shoved his paws into Hawk's stomach. The tom fell back with a grunt of pain and Rocketpaw sprung up, hissing and clawing at Shadowblaze's eye.

Aspenpaw kept trying to claw, but she was growing weaker and weaker. She had to protect Rocketpaw.

"Winter's Cry will be so pleased," hissed Revenge, stalking forward confidently, raising her paw for a killing blow.

((Well, that solves that problem!))
Rocketpaw hissed and kicked Hawk backwards. The tom grunted in surprise as Rocketpaw leapt onto him and clawed his stomach. He sprang up and fled while Rocketpaw turned on Shadowblaze. Shadowblaze's ears fell flat and he backed away. Revenge laughed and leapt for Rocketpaw, who sidestepped and slashed open her side. The she-cat glared at him before pelting away, yowling over her shoulder, "This isn't over!" Rocketpaw raced over to Aspenpaw and muttered, "No, StarClan. Let her be alright."

Aspenpaw's breathing was shallow, her chest going up and down, pretty face showing no emotion.
