His smile grew into a grin as he trotted after Lillyfrost. He was always just a bit behind but close enough to talk. "So do you enjoy hunting or is it just one of the things you know you got to to." he was trying to strike up a dialog.

"Ah well im not to good at hunting as i forget to bring some of the prey back sometimes." He paused for a second "I do remember it eventually but it takes a while." the smile had faded into a regretful expression as he remembered all the times he had found old rotting prey he had previously caught but forgot about.

Lilyfrost giggled, "I bet Zinniastar wasnt to happy about that." They had neared flower blossom meadows, lilyfrost knew this because the scent of overwhelming flowers filled her nose. "flower blossom meadow is great for training apprentices to hunt cause there are do many smells." She giggled, barely able to scent prey herself.

Riverstorm gave the leader a smile once she reappeared. A bit glad she came back. Confident as he might be, he wasn't sure on how he would go about leaving the leader's den without her, not in the middle of their camp anyway where nobody knew him. He did already almost fight with a few of them the night before too. "Oh, a leader sleeping in? My My, Zinniastar." He gave her a sly grin, clearly teasing her. Although he did enjoy that honest part about her. Not many leaders he knew would ever admit that they wanted to sleep in. He did notice how her expression seemed to fall quite quickly, taking a glance over at the vole as well. "I don't find it appropriate to eat when I haven't done much here yet." He answered her in sincerity, bringing his unique-colored stare back to hers. Queens and Elders should eat first, right? The dark ginger tom was quite the follower of the code so it didn't sit right to go ahead and eat. He wasn't even formally introduced to the clan yet for StarClan's sake. What right did he have to their prey?

Zinniastar giggled at his remark, "Well if you were leader you would want to sleep in, i mean isnt that the privilege leaders get?" She mewed, "Atleast with a deputy." She smiled and layed down, she licked her paw and ran it over her head. She was happy he was hear and it was soon time to introduce Riverstorm to the clan, she was nervous as how the clan would react, Riverstorm is family and always will be. She blushed at the thought but then frowned, "Nonsense you deserve it, besides theres enough prey to make everyone plump. " She smiled, "Besides I already made sure they were fed before i brought you that."

His smile came back at her remark and chuckled "Yep it is quite hard to smell anything but the flowers." He had percked up quite a bit and his tail was one again up in the air.

She giggled and rasied her muzzle smelling the air, although it was hard to smell amything but the flower she has had training before and has had enough practice to were shes gone nose blind to the flowers. She scented a mouse not to far off, she padded around until she spotted it. She dropped low to the ground and stalked it for a few heartbeat before jumping and landing on it squarely. Giving it a swift bite to the neck, she picked it up and trotted back over to longleg, "One down another dozen to go." She mewed sarcasticly,

"Ha its food though but hopefully we can catch a bit more." Just as he said that he caught the scent of a squirrel. It was still quite hard for him to smell through the flowers but he managed to just about track the bushy tailed rodent. In one tremendous pounce the squirrel was dead in his jaws.

Riverstorm gave the she-cat a light laugh. "I wouldn't know I guess." He replied lightheartedly. The pain in his paw still lingered and he thought about telling Zinniastar soon. It wouldn't be a good idea to leave it on it's own, infection could settle in very easily. The once loner looked over at the leader with warm eyes, a bit surprised by her response. But the she-cat was always nice that way, he remembered that well. "If you insist, but surely I couldn't eat this all to myself?" He responded in offer as he gazed at the leader with a smirk. In truth he was hungry, but it wasn't as if he was starving on end, that was hardly the case despite how tough of a journey he had faced in recent moons.

Zinniastar giggled, "Yeah i guess you wouldnt that." She licked her paw again and ran it over her head, almost everyone is out of camp so the gathering will have to wait she thought, "You know tou dont have to stay in my den all day, the gathering is to just reasurre everyone that we have a new/old member." She flicked her tail back and forth with happiness at having her old friend back. She looked at him with wide eyes when he offered to share the mouse and she blushed. Her stomach rumbled, she realized she hadnt eaten that morning, "I would gladly share it with." She looked away shyly at the thought of them sharing prey many moons ago, "Just like we shared meal all those moons ago." She said in a sweet voice but there was a hint of sadness, "I miss those days."

"You git the Tom, I got the kit" he mewed and started heading to clan. The little kit started mewing and he felt his own heart speed up a bit Tigereyes nudged to Tom cat and he started to move. Tigereyes hung back with a loving in her eyes but the Tom got closer to Tooth. He eyed Tooth questioningly as he tried to be closer to the kit. (Sorry 4 taking so long.) |

Riverstorm chuckled at her response, very much amused by her. "I'm not scared to leave, Zinniastar." He told her with a grin. It wasn't like he wouldn't be happy just spending the whole day with her, but she was leader. There was obviously more pressing things for her to do than worry about him. At the very least he could share a meal with her, that was pleasing. "And i'm glad to share it with you." He responded to her with a wink, playfulness clear. Of course he harbored feelings for her, but playing around was something he did too. At her words, his ears drew back for a moment but he regained the usually happy expression he had. "We can only make more of those memories, Zinniastar." He consoled her, lying his tail gently at her flank as comfort. It seemed he wasn't the only one plagued by thoughts of the old times.
Meadowpaw was staring at her paws. What had she asked Hawkpaw? How could she be so stupid? The she-cat inwardly groaned. Now she was sure that the tom she was considering her friend wouldn't like her. Friends didn't ask each other to do unnecessary things, right? The calico sighed at went to lay down where she was, putting her head gently on her paws as she looked around. Her mind flashing back to that dream momentarily.

Zinniastar looked at him and smiled, "Well I know you arent scared but if anyone gives you trouble come straight to me." She glanced at the mouse her tummy rumbling, she decided to take the first bite, she hadnt eaten since the evening before. She chewed thoughtfully then mewed, "I know you can handle yourself, but you deserve as much respect as anyone else in this clan." She swallowed then mewed again gazing at the floor, "It was yours before theirs." Maybe it wasnt in the exact location, and called by a different name but before he was found he was thought of as a member of their starclan. She nudge the mouse over to him with her nose, "Sorry I couldnt wait any longer." She mewed in a playful voice then smiled sweetly at his words, "Yes we can always make more." She said full heartedly.

Vinetail padded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a plump mouse. As she sat down and went to take a bite, she broke out in a fit of coughing. "It's probably nothing..." she murmured. She shook her head and continued to eat her mouse. She devoured her mouse in a couple of gulps and licked her lips. "Alright. What can I d-" she broke off as she let out a cough. "Do...."

Riverstorm gave the leader a curt nod, feeling actually quite happy by her words of promise. Once the she-cat took a bite, he followed suit soon after, finding that he didn't really want to take the first bite until after her. "I'll be sure to do that then, Miss leader." He answered her lightheartedly, knowing she was welly serious but it was often like him to respond in a more cheery way, only being serious when the time called for it. The way she seemed to have faith in him was nice, or at least nice to be told. "It's fine. I'm sure your stomach already spoke for you." He mused with a laugh as he nudged her shoulder. "You best believe we are." The tom commented a bit more serious than before, but he meant it. PetalClan couldn't be brought back, but at least they had each other now and they could make more new memories. Something he was extremely grateful for.
Meadowpaw's ears pricked at the approach of Hawkpaw, feeling her ears burn. Perfect timing he's got. She thought, especially when he brought up what she had been thinking over. "I'm sorry for being a burden last night, you didn't need to do that.." She trailed, ignoring the question he had just now. However she still did feel bad for that. Seeing as it had never happened before and she most certainly didn't want to lose Hawkpaw, he was too nice. The thought of Hawkpaw being angry at her was scary indeed, despite how short the time was that they've been acquainted.
