Shadowfall sighed for what seemed like the millionth time, looking away momentarily, embarrassed. "Would you like to go have a meal or something? Or go out hunting?" She asked shyly, scuffing her paws in her nest.

Oakwind glanced up at Shadowfall, momentarily dazed. He snapped out of his moment of shock, nodding his head shyly. "That sounds good!" He responded, to embarrassed to wait for her reaction. He started off out of the den, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. He glanced around the camp for the millionth time, shaking his head in disappointment as he saw the unfamiliar sights of the camp. Although it was a wonderful camp that served the clan well, it wasn't the same.

Shadowfall purred, trying to make the atmosphere between them more light. The she-cat followed him out, tail swishing. "Do you wanna go hunting first, or have a bite to eat?" She asked, glancing at the tom expectantly and hoping she wasn't pressuring the poor guy too much. She could see how nervous and shy he seemed.
Squirrelpaw scarfed down the rest of her morsel, then practically skipped up to Bluefang and Jaystreak."When are we going out?" she mrrowed cheerfully. Bluefang glanced between the two, flattening her ears back and hoping she wasn't actually interrupting their training. But Jaystreak seemed sincere about wanting her to tag along, so she rumbled and purr and waited for the tom to be ready as well.

Oakwind tore his gaze off of the camp, directing it to Shadowfall. "I-I don't really have a preference. I'm a little hungry though..." He meowed, trailing off at the end of his sentence. Oakwind had been awfully distracted the last moon or so, which was extremely odd for him.

Jaystreak nodded happily and smiled. "We'll go right now, Squirrelpaw. We're going hunting." He said as he looked at Bluefang and smiled. "You ready?"

Mistcloud looked up from her piece of prey, seeing the trio of cats getting ready to go hunting. She had the longing to feel the wind on her face as she hunted for quite a while. She disposed of the bones of her prey, quickly racing up to the group. She shyly smiled at them, getting ready to speak. "C-can I go hunting with you guys?" She asked, shuffling her paws.

Squirrelflight waved her tail in the air eagerly, bounding ahead of the two warriors towards the camp entrance. She pushed through the tunnel, enjoying the cool feel of the boulders brushing against her fur and not waiting for Jaystreak's instruction. Fully fed and lively with energy, the she-cat was ready to begin her hunting practice.
Bluefang nodded. "Yeah, I'm ready." She mewed, flicking an ear back and glancing over at Mistcloud. "Jaystreak?" She nodded her chin at the other warrior, tilting her head for Jaystreak's approval for Mistcloud to come too.
Shadowfall shook out her pelt momentarily, then glanced at the tom. "Okay," she mewed, padding over to the fresh-kill pile with a swift look over her shoulder to make sure he was coming. "What's your favourite prey?" Shadowfall asked, tail tip flicking back and forth.

Mistcloud purred in thanks to Bluefang, waving her tail wildly on the ground. She quickly moved her gaze over Jaystreak, waiting for his nod of approval. At least, Mistcloud was pretty sure that he would approve.
Oakwind padded after the she-cat, his long strides bringing him next to her quickly. He scanned the pile of prey, spotting a couple plump rabbits. He loved digging his teeth into the flavorful meat, and unlike at their old territory, rabbits scurried in almost every corner. He motioned to a rabbit with his tail, giving Shadowfall a smile. "Rabbit!" He simply responded, his mouth already watering with the thought of the prey.

Oakwind scanned the camp, trying to find a acceptable place for them to devour the rabbit. His gaze landed on a rather green patch of grass next to the creek. He pointed his tail at the grass, starting off after a few moments. He flopped down on the ground, soaking up the sunlight before Shadowfall reached the grass.

Shadowfall nodded, making her way slowly so she wouldn't trip over the rabbit. Once there, she let the rabbit fall to the ground and settled down beside the tom, tucking her paws neatly under her stomach. The chilly crossbreeze ruffled her fur and made her shiver. "I hate the colder seasons. It makes it harder for cats with short fur like me to stay warm." she complained lightly, trying to make conversation and not seem awkward. She nudged the rabbit towards the tom, offering him the first bite.

Jayfang smiled and nodded. "Of course you can come!" He meowed happily before following after Squirrelpaw. "Squirrelpaw wait! We haven't told you what we're doing yet!" He called as he trotted out of the entrance.

Oakwind purred slightly, digging his teeth into the rabbit. The flavors flooded his mouth, making his purr stronger. He than pushed it back Shadowfall, wanting her to get a fair share of the rabbit. "Take two bites! My bites are almost as big as two of yours." He politely meowed, already feeling full from his one bite. He knew he was much bigger than all of his clanmates, so his bite must be bigger.
Mistcloud let out a meow of excitement, dipping her head respectfully. She then sat down, forcing herself to calm down. She acting like a foolish apprentice in front of the other warriors, and Mistcloud was very self-conscious.

Shadowfall giggled, leaning down and nipping a good sized portion of the meat off and nudging it back to him. The she-cat licked her jaws hungrily, but didn't want to seem like a complete vulture, so she bit at it and ate it as neatly as possible. "Thank you," she meowed, after swallowing a bite. "When you lived as a kittypet did they ever give you rabbit? Or fresh food? Or, you know, just kitty slop?" She mewed, earnestly curious but trying not to sound offensive or hurt the tom's feelings.
Bluefang purred at she she-cat's excitement and padded alongside Mistcloud behind Jaystreak as the tom trotted hurriedly after his apprentice. "Hopefully the seasons aren't too harsh and we'll still have enough prey to last us through until Newleaf." she meowed, half to herself.
Squirrelpaw skidded to a halt, front paws splaying out in front of her and almost falling on her face. "Sorry!" she mumbled, licking her chest fur in embarrassment and looking up at her mentor. "I just can't wait to get started! It feels like ages since I've been out of camp..." The she-cat was exaggerating, of course, because she'd been out just the day before.

He smiled and chuckled, nuzzling her head softly. "I know you're excited Squirrelpaw." he said with a smile. "But you need to remember that we do something different every day and you need to listen first." He said gently.

Mistcloud leaped up, padded after the trio of cats. She sighed when she felt the wind brush her face, she hadn't felt that sensation in to long.
Oakwind tilted his head, trying to recall what he was fed. "I-I think it was kitty pet slop." He responded, taking another grateful bite into the rabbit. "This is much better than what any twoleg could give!" He meowed, pushing the rabbit back to Shadowfall.

Squirrelpaw nodded in understanding. "Okay, I'll listen next time," she mewed, feeling even more embarrassed when her mentor nuzzled her in front of the other warriors. She felt her fur heat up and pinned her ears back against her head, getting back onto four paws and turning her head away. "I don't want the other warriors to think I'm a helpless kit." Squirrelpaw mumbled apologetically to Jaystreak.
Bluefang glanced at Mistcloud, tail waving. "How are you settling in here? Have you been out of camp much?" She inquired, tilting her head slightly at the other she-cat as they walked.
Shadowfall took another bite, content with the way they were sharing and no longer embarrassed by the way she ate. "Oh. That's nice. Do you ever miss your twolegs?" she said inquisitively, then added quickly, "I know I would, like if I was raised as a kittypet...I miss being a rouge sometimes, if that's any consolation if you do..."

He chuckled softly. "Well sometimes it's necessary." Jaystreak said, smiling at her. "Now, we're going on a group hunt, do you remember what that entails?" He asked.

Mistcloud shrugged her shoulders, waving her tail through the air. "It could be better." She responded, then quickly added to her speech. "Not that much, I have been forced to stay in the camp for some reason." She meowed, drooping her tail slightly.
Oakwind tilted his head further, thinking of his housefolk before answering. "When I was traveling along the Thunderpaths, dodging Monsters, I did. But now that I have found JayClan, I don't." He meowed, nipping off the last of the rabbit.

Squirrelflight furrowed her kittybrows. "Um, stay extra quiet since there are more cats that could scare prey away, um help each other. Like, say there was a rabbit. I would go behind and chase it toward you and you would catch it?" She asked, growing frustrated with her lack of memory. Bluefang nodded. "Well, it's safer to go out with other cats, for now at least." she mewed comfortingly. "We don't fully know the territory yet. Besides, at least you get to go out now." Shadowfall purred. "Well, I sure am glad you found JayClan. I'm glad I did, too. It's nice to be part of, an i dunno, family?" she said thoughtfully, gulping her last bite she was chewing and standing to kick the bones into a corner of camp to be disposed of later. {{ -- ＬＵＮＡ Alright ^^ take your time cx -- }} |

Oakwind nodded, thinking of the time he spent walking around, nothing more then skin and bones. "JayClan took me in, accepting me in their family. I was only 3 moons old then." He meowed, awkwardly glancing down to his paws.

Squirrelpaw's chest puffed up with pride at his praise and she purred excitedly. "Okay! Where are we going to go for hunting practice?" she asked.
Bluefang nodded, not really knowing what else to say, so she put her head to the wind and let it soothingly ruffle through her fur. The she-cat smiled, tail swishing with content and peace.
Shadowfall nudged him. "And now you're a big strong warrior!" she teased, baring her fangs playfully. "Very big, in fact. You're so much bigger than me!" she added with wide green eyes. The warrior was already small for her age, with Oakwind's height and body shape, he had quite the advantage in size.
