and yes fiery it would be funny if the medicine cat and warrior get scared of a bird. especially if it was a tiny bird and then like playboy gray ends up jumping on dapple and drops the herbs all around them and stuff. }

Dapplefur padded alongside Goosefeather, completely concentrated on where she was headed. Suddenly, a rustling in the bushes told her that they were not alone. Her head snapped towards the bush, green eyes glaring. "I hear something... she muttered quietly to Goosefeather. She dropped into a crouch and slowly made her way forward, ready to defend herself and her Clanmate if necessary. Without warning, a tiny finch flew out of the bush and right into Dapplefur's face. "Aah, what the-" she meowed, panicked. The bird squawked angrily and fluttered away, leaving the poor medicine cat stunned. |

Graygoose saw the bird and it looked much much bigger than it probably was. The gray tom freaked and jumped onto Dapplefur, his idea of protecting her but instead he was just to terrified. He ended up dropping the herbs he had shoved into his mouth and now they were decorating the medicine cat's coat, his long coat and the ground around them. He ended up feeling his pelt heat up a bit as he realized the bird was nothing compared to him.

Dapplefur was splattered by Graygoose as he landed on top of her, the air forced out of her lungs in a quick 'huff'. She hissed in anger; the herbs were everywhere, and the huge tom was blocking her windpipes. "Ugh... Graygoose, you fat lump! Get off me... can't breathe..." Dapplefur's chest was beginning to throb as she couldn't get the air she needed into her lungs.
{ soonish after this, my character and max adeline 's character are going to run into Dapple and Gray because they need the medicine cat. Just thought I'd let you know in case you haven't read through ^^ }

The tom then realized how much he weighed compared to the medicine cat. He scrambled off of her and checked over her to make sure everything is okay. "I'm sorry Dapplefur! Are you okay?" He meowed quickly and worriedly. Great going, this is totally how you win over a she-cat. He silently scolded himself.

Dapplefur gasped in a huge breath of relief as soon as Graygoose stepped off her. Rolling onto her back, she continued taking large gulps of air with an open mouth until her heart stopped racing. "Air, oh sweet air..." she meowed before sitting up and shaking her disheveled fur out. "Yes... Yes, I'm fine. But you should pick up all these herbs, since you were the one who dropped them. I can't believe how heavy you are! You're such a lump!" meowed Dapplefur humouredly.

Dapplefur's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Really? It didn't feel like you were trying to protect me when you were squishing me. And it was a tiny sparrow. I'm capable of protecting myself, thank you." She helped Graygoose gather the last bit of herbs into a bundle for him to pick up, and then turned back to the direction they were headed before. "Now, to find the marigold. We'd best get going, or it'll be sunset soon."

Mistcloud happily padded after her clanmates, enjoying the sensation of the wind on her face. She kept close behind her clanmates, but she let her eyes stray. A tree caught her eye, the drooping branches swaying in the wind.

I can help you track her; she didn't leave too long ago." Leafpaw was ready to do anything to help her injured Clanmate as soon as possible.

Bluefang smiled back then glanced at Mistcloud. "Since theres four of us, maybe you and i should split up from them and go hunt together." She suggested at the other she-cat and Jayatreak.
Squirrelpaw puzzled for a moment, face scrunching into that of a thinking expression. "Rabbits are the most common prey in the field, right?" She asked her mentor.

( Just saying for Fiery, I want him to recover. Maybe a few days of bed rest, but I don't want him to have somthing that will effect the rest of his life. I'm saying this because I have to go now.) Oakwind nodded, not fighting her suggestion. He lowered himself onto the ground, wincing at the pain that tore through his back. He laid on the ground silently, staring up at the clouds. The sound of the wind soothed him as he fought off the pain. Here is my last Oakwind post. |
