Honeyshine smiled as the other seemed to take that to heart, trotting along more cheerfully now knowing that she had successfully helped her clanmate feel better. "Exactly! There's nothing to worry about~ The foxes seem to generally keep to themselves." Nearing the hollow, the scent of fox did start to appear around them, but it didn't seem to be any closer, or fresher, than it was the last time. Starting to skirt the outskirts of the scent, in an effort to see where exactly there were beginning to go, Honeyshine seemed unconcerned as the scents seemed to grow a little stronger the farther they walked, able to see the edge of the meadow from where they were.

{ Welcome to the rp, @pinacolada!! You’re welcome to rp! }
Foxclaw observes his apprentices actions for a moment, seeming pleased that the young tom was remembering to start scenting for prey. Doing the same himself as the grew closer to the stream, the ginger tom stopped Harepaw with a tail across his chest, glancing down at him before sitting. “What can you scent?” He asked the other quietly, going so far as to dip his head closer. He had already located a mouse, but he wanted to give Harepaw the chance to do it himself.

(Hey guys!)
Silverdawn remained a few paw steps behind Honeyshine, frowning as she tasted in the air. Was there a reason the fox scent was a little stronger here? She glanced over at the other she-cat, opening her mouth to say something. But seeing that Honeyshine wasn't unnerved, Silverdawn shook her head. I'm just imagining it. The silver she-cat moved forward so she wasn't too far behind, tilting her head. "Do you want to hunt a bit after checking? I was thinking of taking Wasppaw out when we got back!" Excitement was laced in the she-cat's voice as she thought of her first lesson as a mentor.

{ Hello everyone! I'll add all of the new cats! }
Honeyshine purred in amusment as the other voice her enthusiasm, attention turning towards the other she-cat. "Of course we can- I think it would be fun!" She agreed, pausing in her steps only a moment later. "I think we've checked far enough- it doesn't seem like they're moving any closer to camp- so we should be fine~" She decided, looking towards Silverdawn again, "Let's go get Wasppaw!" Honeyshine purred, before a rustling sounded from somewhere in the bushes behind her.
Foxclaw purred with pride as the apprentice still managed to pinpoint the location, and gave a quick nod. "Yes, you're correct.. The smell is of mouse, you'll do well to remember it..." he explained, before gesturing with his tail towards the prey. "Show me how you would catch it." he added, staying seated as he waited to see the apprentice's hunting method. He itched to just go catch it himself, but he knew that responsibilities were different now that he had an apprentice.

Silverdawn stopped dead in her tracks as the rustling grew louder. Ears instinctively pressing to her head, Silverdawn growled. "W-Who's there?" She called out, claws unsheathed. Panic began to set into the she-cat. Remembering that Foxclaw and his apprentice were out, she hoped that her fears would be disproven. "Foxclaw? Harepaw?" She looked nervously over to Honeyshine, the fur on the back of her neck standing. She wished it would be the two cats, and yet they had scented a strong smell of fox before.

Honeyshine also seemed shocked by the sudden noise, the smell of fox preventing her from knowing what exactly was there. She wasn't too sure that it was the other cats, but she tried to play along for Silverdawn's sake. "Yeah guys- it's not funny anymore-" she offered, sounding much less than confident. Her fears were realized as a bright orange pelt that was much larger than Foxclaw stepped through the bushes, a growl leaving it's throat as it spotted the cats. Honeyshine's fur fluffed up to twice it's size, and a hiss left her lips as she backed away from the threat slowly. Mind racing, she spotted a low branch on the tree to her right, and instantly glanced towards Silverdawn, "Get up that tree, quickly!" She called, lunging a little closer to the fox to swipe at it and distract it.

Foxclaw quickly shook his head at the apprentices form, standing to place himself in his own hunting crouch before glancing towards Harepaw. “You have to remember to keep everything balanced- while ensuring you make as little noise as possible... Try and mimic what I’m doing.” He instructed, remaining in his pose for Harepaw to copy before he would get up to alter it if the apprentice was still a little off. He figured seeing the pose would be easier than just simply talking about it, and he wanted Harepaw to succeed. “It will take a bit of practice to get the muscle memory that will make it instinct, but I know you’ll get there.”

Silverdawn scrambled up the tree, the she-cat digging her claws into the bark as she pushed herself up onto a branch. "Honeyshine!" She called out to the other warrior, lowering down one of her paws to help the other she-cat. Her eyes widened at the size of the fox, fear clear in her eyes. She could only smell the one fox, but she knew sometimes the animal would travel together.

Honeyshine flinched away as the fox snapped at her, seeming to grow more confident now that there was only a single cat to face. Hearing the others voice from safe up in the tree broke her out of her panicked state as she quickly unfroze, turning tail to sprint up the tree as well. Just before she could get out of reach the fox managed to clamp down on her tail, and with a yowl of pain Honeyshine pulled herself free, flattening herself to the tree branch as fear caused her eyes to widen, breathing heavy as she glanced down at the angry fox as it finally gave up and trotted away. “Are you ok...?” She finally choked out, eats flat on her head. Fur was missing from the end of her tail and blood had begun to mat the fur down, but it wasn’t too serious of a wound considering.

Foxclaw glanced Harepaw over before giving a slight nod, “Much better- still a bit uncomfortable- but that will come with time. Now I want you to use that to try and catch our mouse.” The tom ordered, stepping back to give Harepaw a straight shot. “Keep a careful watch on where you put your paws, even a leaf could be anough to let your prey know you’re coming.” Wrapping his tail over his paws, Foxclaw was fully prepared to observe. Even if the apprentice missed it would still prove to be a valuable educational moment, but he had high hopes for Harepaw’s success.

"Honeyshine!" Silverdawn squeaked as she saw the fox's teeth clamp down on her clan-mate's tail. Double-checking to make sure the fox was gone for good, she turned her attention to the she-cat. "I-I'm fine, but are you okay? You were so brave!" She exclaimed, straining to see how bad the wound was. She had never been the best of fighters, always faring better when hunting or swimming. Frowning, she looked at Honeyshine with concern. "We should get Paledove or Ravenwing to check that out to make sure it doesn't get infected."

Foxclaw waited patiently for Harepaw to finish, despite the instincts telling him to catch the mouse himself, and smiled warmly as the apprentice turned back with the prey. “Good job, that wasn’t a bad catch for a cat that hasn’t been hunting much yet... So good job.” He praised, walking closer to inspect the apprentice. “Would you like to see if you can spot the next catch?” He inquired, handing over the leadership briefly to the apprentice so he could practice his tracking skills.
It took Honeyshine a moment to relax enough to allow her claws to finally retract, leaving angry marks on the tree where her claws had practically torn the bark completely off in her fear. Fur slowly lying flat, she glanced up at her clan mates concern and offered a weak smile. “I should be fine, thank you Silverdawn.... It’s my fault we got into this anyway- I wasn’t taking it seriously... I apologize....” she added, dipping her head in shame as she slowly allowed herself to stand, ignoring the throbbing pain coming from her tail. It was more annoying than anything, but she would do as she was told. “Now let’s head back and report this so you can take Wasppaw out to train- maybe you’ll even be able to catch up with Foxclaw and Harepaw~”

Silverdawn rested her tail-tip lightly on Honeyshine's shoulder, smiling at the she-cat. "There's no need to apologize, it's not your fault!" She slowly began to head in the direction of camp, listening to the other she-cat. "That'd be nice," she replied, nodding her head. "It'd be nice for the two apprentices to be able to train together." It would also be good to hang around with Foxclaw for fighting techniques. The smaller she-cat wanted to make sure that Wasppaw would learn everything.

Honeyshine was still slightly put out by their close call, blaming herself for not being more careful. She had grown arrogant, and therefore it was her own fault that she hadn’t prevented even that from happening. Forcing herself to follow after the other, she nodded along with what Silverdawn was saying. “I agree- it will be good for them to have someone to practice on after all- since it’s kinda hard to be what they practice on when you’re also trying to train them...” she agreed, tail twitching every so often as if she was trying to take the edge off the pain. It was mostly numb by the time they got close to camp, which wasn’t good she knew, but it was better in her opinion.

Silverdawn looked back over her shoulder at Honeyshine as she slipped into camp, still worried about the she-cat. "You're going to get your tail checked out...right?" She asked, her voice laced with concern. Her eyes darted off towards where the medicine cats section was. "I'm going to go see if Wasppaw is ready to go training."

Honeyshine smiled at the others concern, giving a nod to ease her worry, “Yes, of course I will. And don’t worry about me, it’s just a little scratch- just focus on your training with Wasppaw, ok?” The she-cat added, briefly pressing her nose against the others ear in a comforting gesture before heading off towards the medicine den with a gentle flick of her tail. “Let me know how it goes when you get back~!” She threw over her shoulder before disappearing into the opening for the den. Once inside, she spotted Ravenwing and instantly padded forward a few paces, “Uh- Ravenwing? Are you busy right now...?” She inquired, sitting down just before she reached him to give him space.

Ravenwing jumped at the sound of a cat's voice. Whipping around, the black tom calmed ever so slightly. "O-oh, hi, Honeyshine!" The timid cat greeted Honeyshine, before the scent of blood caught his nose. "Are you..." He trailed off as he examined the she-cat, his eyes finally fixating on her tail. "What happened?" He asked as he carefully looked at her tail, frowning to himself.

Silverdawn's ears perked up as she saw the dark grey pelt of Wasppaw. Heading over to the apprentice, she smiled. "I thought we could start with hunting for today!" She told Wasppaw, glad that the she-cat was excited for their day. "If Foxclaw and Harepaw are still out we could even see if they'd want to practice battle moves. There was a fox near fox hollow today." Her tone became more serious. "I don't want you ever leaving camp alone, but if the fox ever came near camp I'd want you to be prepared."
