With that in mind, do not skip the rules. Read them, and be sure that you understand them before proceeding. Understand that we, the admins of this role-play, can change the rules in accordance to what is needed. If you have any questions regarding these rules, do not be afraid to come forward with your inquiries. ● We have what are known as 'Clan Systems' here. These guidelines play an integral part regarding how this role-play functions and proceeds, so be sure to read through them. Member Requirements ● In this role-play, quality is valued over quantity. If you are considering joining, we simply ask that you be sure of your ability to reply with appropriate response lengths, detail, and are capable of creating and pulling off intricate plots, all while maintaining proper timing and grammar. ● While staff members within this role-play are required to be active for at least six days a week, regular members without high positions are required to be active for at least four days a week. Remember that out of character chat does not count towards your activity, and that the staff here will be keeping a close eye on your status and level of activity. Every two weeks there will be an activity check, and inactive members will be dealt with in accordance to breaking this rule. If you cannot remain a member of this role-play, please notify the staff so that we may remove you, and free up characters. If you require a hiatus, you will not receive any negative consequences because of your inactivity. Joining ● Do not manipulate the joining form provided here in any way, either by personalizing it to your own preference, or by simply disregarding the coding altogether. If you do not understand the coding or are encountering issues regarding it, please voice this concerns, as we will gladly help you understand and fix the problem. ● LBGTQ+ characters are all welcomed here. ● Feel free to create relations between your characters and those of other members here. Do not, however, proceed to do this if you do not have the explicit permission of the opposing character's creator. Along with this, we also ask that you refrain from attempting to join with your own character's romantic interest. ● When creating your character, make sure that their design falls in line with that of actual genetics. Do not exceed what is believably possible in the make-up of a cat. If you cannot provide evidence to support your character's design, then you will be required to change it. ● As this is not a strictly romance-oriented role-play, the characters that you join with are required to have an alternative purpose aside from finding a mate, falling in love, and having kits. If this is your motivation for joining this role-play, then we advise that you find a different, more suitable role-play to support your goals. Consequences ● If a member violates or breaks a rule for the first time, they will be issued a warning. Two warnings will equal a star. A star is not something that you want to receive here, as you may only have five stars before being deleted from the role-play. You may rejoin once and will automatically start on the second star. Now, when a member gets to the second star, they cannot "attend" the gathering and their characters must remain in camp for the next two days. For the third star, their apprentices may have an additional training session added on before they become a warrior. If they do not have an apprentice but have a warrior acting as a mentor, that warrior's apprentice will be assigned a new mentor for a week, and their character may become sick or receive punishment. If the member happens to have both an apprentice and an acting mentor, the admin may decide on which approach to then take. When a fourth star is issued, it will result in a repeat of previous punishments, and a week's suspension from the clan. Now, if the member has joined two Clans, the two residing admins will then discuss if this will affect both clans or just the one. If they show a better attitude in the other clan, your punishment it will only proceed in the clan they're not doing as well in. Finally, the fifth star will result in deletion. If a member rejoins after being deleted once, they cannot have any special plots, positions, or even apprentices until two weeks in. If the member continues to improve beyond those two weeks, then the admins can discuss the possibility of cleaning their slate.

"Nothing can stand against the force of water, just as nothing can defeat RiverClan warriors when we rise up together. But when trouble comes, RiverClan knows how to weave through the dangers, adapting to the changed world, just as the river flows around rocks and over waterfalls. We are grace. We are power. We are RiverClan." — Leopardstar on RiverClan in Secrets of the Clans, page 40 The Lake territory for RiverClan does not have any name by Twolegs. However, the Twoleg names for the borders are Littlepine Road, Littlepine Sailing Center, and Whitechurch Road. The territory includes the River Alba. Landmarks here include: ➤ Greenleaf Twolegplace - During greenleaf, Twolegs come here to swim noisily. ➤ Halfbridge - A peculiar bridge that ends halfway in the water. Twoleg boats are anchored to it. ➤ Lakeshore - RiverClan owns the south to western part of the lake shore. ➤ Camp - Like the other camp, this camp is tucked away on a piece of land surrounded by two streams, making it well-defended.
The camp is full of lush trees and streams full of fish. There is a main stream that joins a smaller one, and on that triangle of land, RiverClan's camp resides. In the camp, there is a nest of brambles which is where the nursery is. It is strongly reinforced. In other thickets are the elders' and leader's den. The medicine's den is behind a thorn bush and overhangs the stream. The earth was washed away, leaving a pool in the roots and a hole in the bank. This is essential for the medicine cat who can store their supplies and get fresh water any time. There aren't as many shiny things as the old camp, but Twolegs often leave behind shiny things that the cats can use to decorate their nests. However, they have to be careful, as not all Twoleg things are safe for them.

Please refer to the Clan's main plot until Act II is ready to be posted. RiverClan's leader follows the Warrior Code completely. While this is a good quality to have, the leader takes it her loyalty to the code too far - cats who break even the most trivial of rules are severely punished, some even exiled. This has gotten RiverClan in a stir. The RiverClan cats are either afraid of their leader and her harsh punishments or secretly trying to rid her of leadership as her punishments are much too harsh. In the middle of this the fish, especially the pike, have seen a dramatic rise in mercury levels, making many RiverClan cats sick. This sickness has the leader convinced that a group of cats continues to break the Warrior Code over and over to bring down StarClan's wrath - unbeknownst to her her suspicious are wrong and the sickness is merely a random event. Unfortunately the herb to cure the sickness does not naturally grow near the river - RiverClan has learned to grow and harvest the herb themselves, but with demand high the herb is used up; luckily the herb grows abundantly in ShadowClan territory. With ShadowClan going through their own struggles, RiverClan's leader decides to make an alliance with the pine-dwelling cats - RiverClan will give them protection if ShadowClan gives them herbs.

➤ Stormstar | 50 moons | Male | Heterosexual There are large cats, and then there is Stormstar. A mountain made of dark grey fur with a distinctive clawed scar over his muzzle and seemingly eternally exasperated amber eyes, this male is of clear maine coon descent. Born to two loyal RiverClan warriors, Torrentswell and Ivylark, Stormstar is the oldest of a litter of three, his sister being Troutleap and brother Gullbreeze. His beloved nephew is Heronpaw. A fierce warrior in his own right, Stormstar is a stoic tom. He doesn’t tolerate scenes or fussing and has no patience for the mischief of younglings trying to seek glory. Barring that grumpiness, he’s a nurturer- Family, Duty, Honor are the words he can be heart scolding reckless apprentices with. He is a cautious cat, preferring to stay out of entanglements unless he is absolutely needed. Oddly enough, Stormstar is still mourning the loss of his sister, and dotes on her kits unconditionally. Family is everything, and though he has a general soft spot for kits. He attempts to hold up the law to the letter, but often will let minor things slide with vows to never do it again– especially if it's the round eyes of an apprentice pleading after simple, small mistakes that anyone can make. Mistakes can be covered up so long as they are minor, meaning no one got hurt. He would keep pain from all the younglings if he could. Though, in that same vein, he is also of the mind that lessons can and will be learned in everything done wrong. Because then you know how to do better next time. The strain of increasing responsibilities sometimes give him stress driven nightmares and headaches that make him irritable. Stormstar has for the most part outgrown childish impulses to ignore his problems, and will seek help when needed. He is often describes as honorable, almost to a fault. The problem with honorable people is that they assume the rest of the world is honorable too. This will likely be his downfall. His beloved has and likely always will be Dawnwatcher, though their relationship fractured after the loss of a litter. It was not quite the loss that tore him from her side, but the fact that she covered up the likelihood that she would lose them. Oddly, despite the fact that they are no longer mates, he is still very fond of her and they share an amiable relationship. While together, they had two surviving kits– a daughter, Blizzardhawk, and a son, Torrentsquall. He treasures his family greatly and will brag about them to just about anyone in hearing distance. ➤ Featherwing Unknown at this time. ➤ Feathercreek | 39 moons | Female | Pansexual Feathercreek has an extremely long, thick coat. With a wide head and ears set far apart, her large amber eyes peer out immediately. She also has a somewhat short muzzle. Her fur starts off as a very light shade of silver, almost appearing white in the sunlight. Fortunately, there are dark grey mackerel tabby stripes streaming down her pelt, evidently darker on her short legs. ➤ Sand

➤ Name | Age | Gender | Sexuality Description of five sentences minimum ➤ Tagged Member ➤ Gullbreeze | 50 moons | Male | Bisexual A muscular tom with large broad shoulders. A thick coat of light grey fur with black tabby markings drape over his large tom. A few markings become a bit circular around his face, adding in a few spots here and there. His eyes are a deep green in color, one scar over his left eye. His ears are a bit torn from previous battles. Though he loves to fight, he takes his Clan's safety very seriously. His pride in his family is very strong and he keeps it at the top of his list. He is the tom that'll be there for a cat when they need it, he never wants anyone to feel in the dark. ➤ ᴀʟᴀɴᴀ » ➤ Dawnwatcher | 49 Moons | Female | Heterosexual Dawnwatcher is a cat of elegance. She has long, soft fur that's brindled with darker stripes. She has a pale coat with splashes of white all over her. Her eyes are pale ice blue. Dawnwatcher was formerly the mate of Stormtrail. They trained together and eventually fell in love. Their first litter together resulted in one daughter: Blizzardhawk. Their daughter had grown and the two tried again for another litter. Unfortunately, Dawnwatcher had fertility issues. They were lucky enough to have one daughter and despite the risk, tried for another litter. The litter was stillborn. This led to a crack in Dawnwatcher's relationship. What made it worse was that she had withheld the information that her kits would most likely be born stillborn from Stormtrail. With that, the two split, however they still oddly remain on friendly terms. ➤ ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 ➤ Goosenose | 38 moons | Male | Heterosexual Goosenose, being only in his late thirty moons, is a cranky feline. He's part Persian, giving him that look of anger and frustration. Well, that look isn't too off. With a grey tabby pelt, and ears smaller than average, Goosenose was given his name quite wittily. His fur is short and thick, nearly waterproof as most RiverClanner's. Named after a bird known for it's anger and fight, he's lived up to his prefix. While his suffix is obvious, it's not what you think it is. "Oh, he's a wonderful tracker, isn't he!" Wrong. He was given the suffix -nose due to the fact that when he was just an apprentice, he got bit right on the nose by a spider. It was swollen for days after that, and it earned him his suffix. Now, onto his personality. Merely over 35 moons, Goosenose is what you could easily call a grumpy grandfather. He's wide and broad unlike RiverClanners, but he's a strong swimmer. His legs are powerful, which give him an advantage when battling. ➤ dou ➤ Velvetfur | 32 moons | Male | Bisexual Named after the soft velvet found on a buck's antlers, this tomcat is known for having exceedingly soft and smooth fur. He is a glossy and sleek-furred charcoal Bengal with yellow eyes. Despite being a former kittypet, he is well adjusted to Clan life. He is known for being sly, slinking around and finding things out with ease like some wily fox. He's a charmer, though, and most can forget about his sly nature after he's charmed another. Velvetfur is also slightly ambitious. Even still he's a dedicated Clan cat with a sense of loyalty to hold himself together. ➤ Feathertalon ➤ Cranedance | 30 Moons | Female | Heterosexual Long beautiful white fur comes from this girls small body. Like cranes wings, she has black wisp markings throughout her fur. Cranedance's ear tips are also black along with multiple points along her body. She has one sea blue eye and the other is a light leafy green. Cranedance is a very motherly cat, even though she is not a mother. She tends to take cats under her paw and teach them as she was taught, even if she is not their mentor. Taking care for everyone seems to be a goal of hers. Very talkative and sweet, it's easy to get along with Cranedance. ➤ ᴀʟᴀɴᴀ » ➤ Hogtusk | 29 Moons | Male | Bisexual Entirely too fluffy for his own good, Hogtusk is a large, muscular dark brown marble tabby cat with blue eyes. Now, looking at Hogtusk, you'd think he was a berserker, a cat of rage and raw strength that would ensure his victory against the average cat. After all, he's covered in little nicks and scars, nothing particularly horrifying but it's clear he's had some adventures. This of course is from an outside perspective. Everyone in RiverClan knows that his name is a bit of a misdirection. Hogtusk is a softie, a big, terrifying softie. He'll stop a patrol to pick up a pretty feather to put in his nest, or to smell a flower. He'll dive into those thorns to get some berries. Goodness knows what he'll do to reach that especially shiny stone. He is easily flustered by pretty cats too, and often finds himself tongue tied or generally perplexed by his own incompetence at eloquence. Usually he's good with words, if not a bit high brow about it. He's a softie amongst his Clan and for the most part indifferent to other Clans– though he has a particular bitterness towards those of the ShadowClan allegiance. It goes back to his love for pretty things. There was a pretty yellow flower right across the border and young Hogtusk decided he wanted it. So he crossed the border, only to come face to face with a patrol of ShadowClan cats. Besides getting chased back across the border, the ShadowClan cats trampled the flower. The barbarians. Hogtusk has never really forgiven them. ➤ Featherwing ➤ Cloudstream | 29 moons | Female | Pansexual A pretty lilac she-cat with a 'mane' around her neck and a feathery tail; she has pale green eyes. This she-cat is as calm as anything and the very definition of go-with-the-flow. She's a peace-loving molly with the idea that battle is needless and simply not worth it. She sees life as something not to rush, something to keep a steady pace with, and she certainly keeps a steady pace. Nothing tends to bother her at all, and she's certainly a level-headed cat who seems to experience nothing such as anger, impatience, aggression, or anything of the sorts. ➤ Feathertalon ➤ Blizzardhawk | 28 moons | She-cat | Bisexual Blizzardhawk is a long-furred tabby she-cat. She takes her gray coloring from her father, Stormstar and her white splotches from her mother, Dawnwatcher. She's large in size, but still looks small compared to her father. Blizzardhawk is a wonderful hunter. She greatly enjoys swimmer, even in the harsh season of leafbare. Her pale coat disguises her in the snow. Her eyes are the same pale ice color that her mother has. Her brother is Torrentsquall. ➤ ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 ➤ Torrentsquall | 28 moons | Male | Heterosexual Long furred muscular grey male with amber eyes. He's a big guy, not too big but big enough to be mildly intimidating. Well, he would be intimidating if he didn't have that baby face. Innocence is the bell that gets rung when you look at him. Honestly? It's not wrong. His deep rumbling voice is a sweet timbre, calm and warm. Like a summer breeze on a hot day. Welcoming. He wants you to feel at home. He'll be the one bringing you prey when you feel sick, will carry you on his back if you get hurt. He'll pick you up when you're feeling down. Torrentsquall is, however, a strong cat. He may not be fast, but his legs can and will propel him through the water at surprising speeds. Saplings bend a bit under his weight, but then again he is not a climber. He's not exactly a fighter either. The sight of blood makes him faint and he will be entirely honest about that. Even thinking about it makes him woozy. Poor guy. He's got his sister Blizzardhawk and his parents Dawnwatcher and Stormstar. All of whom he loves deeply. ➤ Featherwing ➤ Winterwings | 25 moons | Female | Heterosexual A long furred white she-cat with patches of soft grey. Eyes of green flecked with gold– hazel, if you want to pin point it. The only way you'll see the gold is if you are right up in her face, which is liable for you to get scratched. When asking others what she's like, you'll typically get the response "friendly enough but she's got a bit of a bite." Meaning, she's friendly... enough, but she has the tendency to sass you when the occasion calls for it. A bit too much salt in this one. The only time you'll hear her actually complain is if it gets too cold. She hates the cold. Refuses to get any real work done if there's more than an paw depth of snow on the ground. It's a mess. Could be because when she was a young apprentice, Winterwings got stuck by the lake during a blizzard. She nearly froze to death before they found her, thus ended her interest in anything chilly. Strong hind legs means she can jump pretty well and far– her name should have been Winterfox, for she jumps and lands on prey much like a fox does in the snow. Hence the "wings"– for just a moment, mid jump, she feels like she can fly. Then she hits the ground and everything is back to normal. ➤ Featherwing ➤ Oakjaw | 22 moons | Male | Homosexual With fur dark as the midnight black sky, Oakjaw is definitely plain in looks. He doesn't really have anything that's distinct about him unless you count a small nick in his right ear and his fitting sleek fur. He isn't a large tom, but he does have long limbs, making him considerably taller. Oakjaw has round, pale yellow-green eyes and tall ears. Much like an apprentice, this tom is childish and very playful. His behavior can be seen as erratic, even when he's sensitive.
➤ Sand ➤ Looncall | 22 Moons | Male | Bisexual Looncall was named for the black and white birds that frequent the lake, filling the air with their mournful cries. He is a black tom with a splash of white on his muzzle that runs down his throat to his chest and two white paws. He has a long, thin body that is built on lean muscle rather than bulk, and a long tail. He wasn't expected to grow very tall since neither of his parents were large, but his legs have given him some considerable height. His coat, while short, is thick enough that it keeps water out, and is surprisingly soft. Looncall is best known for his kind heart and calm demeanor. He appears unruffled in most cases and desires only to serve his Clan to the best of his abilities. He was the model kit in the nursery, never getting into as much trouble as his denmates. He was far more interested in story time with the elders, and as such, picked up plenty of wisdom from them. He enjoys hunting and fishing, but can hold his own during battle as well. He is a great listener and gives great advice when asked for it. He prefers to avoid drama of any sort and always seeks a diplomatic approach to problems. He tries to avoid battle at all costs, but that doesn't mean he's a coward. He just hates fighting.
➤ flytes, ➤ Nettlewhisper | 20 moons | Female | Bisexual Nettlewhisper is a fairly masculine female. Her fur is short, and her frame is lithe to glide through the water quickly. But her head is wide. Ears short to her skull giving her more of a streamline appearance other than her blocky skull. Her fur is a black-and-white hue, her legs being white while the rest of her is black. She blends in well when looking from a bird's-eye or from down under. Her eyes are a bright orange, giving her more of a stern look. Nettlewhisper is known for her quietness. She's silent when hunting, and when fighting. Even just in her day-to-day life. She's never been a huge fighter, though if it's needed to be done she will do it. She's peaceful when it comes to most things, but if you mess with her friends you're in for a time of your life. ➤ dou

➤ Moraypaw | 11 Moons | Male | Homosexual Moraypaw is the definition of rowdy. He has short brown fur with black tabby stripes racing through. His eyes are a very right amber color with flecks of gold. He tends to be very curious, which cats mistake for defiance. His curiosity gets him trouble with the older cats. More often than not, he'll end up sneaking out of camp to nap in peace or to just explore the territory a bit more extensively. He makes friends pretty easily and usually tries his best to make other cats happier. This can lead to him pushing his feelings aside. ➤ ᴀʟᴀɴᴀ » ➤ Heronpaw | 9 moons | Male | Demisexual A large gray tabby tom with white paws, white chest, and a white muzzle; he has copper eyes. While large, he certainly isn't something to be afraid of. He's a gentle giant, a cat with a large heart and a kind soul. He's actually pretty timid, shy even. When it comes to cats his age or younger, he's a sweetheart, an absolute kind-hearted fellow with a lot to give. Around cats that are older than him, however, he becomes nervous and tongue-tied. He feels like he gets in the way or something, and he usually has some sort of excuse to avoid older cats. ➤ Feathertalon ➤ Laurelpaw | 8 moons | Female | Heterosexual Laurelpaw is a small, cream cat with rose points(more like the picture below than the side picture, I couldn't find a very good substitute). She has deep, dark blue eyes. In relation to other members of the clan, Laurelpaw is rather short, although she swears that she's still waiting for her growth spurt to hit. She also isn't very muscled, but she doesn't worry about that as much since she's a medicine cat. Laurelpaw is the very definition of bubbly. Always the optimist, she constantly feels the need to cheer up and encourage her friends. She is somewhat squeamish, and doesn’t enjoy violent fighting. That's part of the reason she wanted to become a medicine cat- that and the fact that she loves menial tasks like sorting herbs. She exudes a sort of innocent aura, and can be rather naive at times. However, Laurelpaw's most notable trait is her compulsive lying. Laurelpaw lies all the time, even if she doesn't have to, either as a joke, an excuse, a way to make someone feel better, or even a way to get back at someone for a wrong they've done her. She's been doing this since she was a kit, so older members of the clan tend to know what to expect when talking to her. Still, it's hard to tell if what she's saying is actually the truth or just another lie.

➤ Troutleap | 44 moons | Female | Bisexual Troutleap is a thick-furred she-cat covered in a soft layering of gray and white fur. Like any RiverClan cat she has a thick build and waterproof fur. Her eyes are large and rounded which reflect a blue color as clear as the river's waters. She is a spunky she-cat, free-willed and full of energy. She enjoys exploring the territory, and sometimes she sneaks off to somewhere only StarClan knows outside the borders. Even with her energy and rule-breaking tendencies, Troutleap has a way of charming her way into the hearts of many. Not many can get past her without feeling compelled to learn more about her. She is the deceased mate of Goosenose and mother of Heronpaw. Her brothers are Stormtrail and Gullbreeze. ➤ Feathertalon ● Killed by twolegs ➤ Duskstar | 45 moons | Female | Homosexual A large and thick-furred dusky calico she-cat with amber eyes. When it comes to the warrior code this she-cat follows it strictly, and she expects her Clan to do the same. Any broken code results in punishment. The code, to her, is her life and should be taken just as serious as hunting should be. She is also a proud cat. Whether it be proud of herself or proud of her Clan, Duskstar is a prideful leader which is both a good and bad trait to carry. Along with this she is an authoritative cat, certainly able to keep her Clan in line at any given time. ➤ Feathertalon ● Killed by mercury poisoing ➤ Name | Age | Gender | Sexuality Description of five sentences minimum ➤ Tagged Member ● Cause of death

Stormstar - Camp ; Evening "Evening Blizzardhawk" Stormstar purred, moving to make room for his kit. He was so proud of her, of his little girl. The memory of first seeing her, seeing her root at Dawnwatcher's belly beside her brother, always made his heart warm. "I was just pondering responsibility, no need to worry" He wanted to humor his daughter, but he honestly couldn't bear to put pressure on her. Blizzardhawk was a fine warrior but much too young to be burdened with things like Do we have enough herbs in the medicine den, Who is the best choice for deputy, and Can he even do this job? Will he successfully lead RiverClan to a brighter future? Can he maintain decent diplomatic ties with the other leaders? Or will he fail, as he failed to be there for Dawnwatcher when she lost their final litter? These thoughts flew through his mind like a tornado of stress. He wished for simpler days when he was just a warrior, one just like every other. "How have you been fairing?" Stormstar was gentle in his inquiry, an attempt to steer away from his own troubles.

e v e n i n g b l i z z a r d h a w k c a m p Taking note of the evasion, Blizzardhawk followed Stormstar's silent request. "I was feeling a bit nauseous earlier, but now I'm better. Feathercreek cleared me. I missed out on morning hunting, but I hope that is no issue." she meowed. Blizzardhawk settled beside her father, pushing the tiny minnow as an offering. "I caught that as a snack, but you can have some." the she-cat mewed. "The fish have been swimming this year, eh?" the RiverClan tabby added. While her mind were still on helping her father, she still tried to push those thoughts away. She had learned early on that being a nosy kitty gets you in trouble, so Blizzardhawk quickly adapted to taking silent warnings and observing the tones of voices. On the other hand, her mother may have still pestered and pushed, eventually causing a little tiff.

{ g u l l b r e e z e } e v e n i n g c a m p ahh, gullbreeze. what a simplistic cat. light grey fur that's sleek and thick. bright green eyes that seem to show every single emotion of his. he looked quite a bit like his brother, stormstar. gullbreeze was very proud of his brother for becoming riverclans' leader. they desperately needed one. duskstar was always a bit much. now that stormstar was in charge, he felt as if riverclan was finally relaxing and becoming even closer than before. it helped that their sister, who'd died many moons ago, had a son. heronpaw was goosenoses' pride and joy. he certainly loved his nephew and still silently mourned the loss of his beloved sister. but gullbreeze had been given the assignment of mentoring his nephew. the day he had become an apprentice and was assigned to the light tom had been the day his whole world brightened. he wanted to be able to show heronpaw everything there was to being an apprentice and being a full warrior of riverclan. that evening, gullbreeze was simply relaxing. after a long day of training with heronpaw, he found himself grooming his thick fur until it gleamed once more. when he looked up, he spotted heronpaw across the clearing. the burly tom let out a raspy purr and stood up, padding over to the smaller tom and chuckling. "you've worked hard today, heronpaw. your mother would be proud." he smiled and licked the toms head. "tomorrow we'll go and practice some more battle moves. i might put you against moraypaw if you're up for it," coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

e v e n i n g d a w n w a t c h e r c a m p The she-cat couldn't help but overhear her former brother-in-law speaking to his nephew. What really caught her attention was the mention of her apprentice, Moraypaw. She held in a purr, admiring the uncle's love. He had once been kin to her, but now... Well, Stormstar and Dawnwatcher were on good terms, but the past couldn't be forgotten. In truth, the she-cat couldn't deny that she still harbored feelings for the RiverClan leader. While they weren't strong enough for her to actually pad after him, she could tell and couldn't move on quite yet. Every moment they shared was something she enjoyed. Standing to stretch her paws, the she-cat padded over to Gullbreeze. "Evening. Gullbreeze, mind if we had a little chat?" she asked, motioning the the camp entrance. "A walk would be nice." she mewed.

{ g u l l b r e e z e } e v e n i n g c a m p overall, he really did see a lot of his sister in his nephew. her spirit. her love for everything. her curiosity. that all seemed to be resembled in heronpaw. after speaking to the tom, he knew he would have to go and sleep sometime. a large yawn opened his maw, taking him a few moments. after his yawn, he heard a familiar voice greet him. his emerald eyes bounced up and gazed at his brothers former mate. "evening, dawnwatcher. sure thing," he let a purr escape him. he had no hard feelings against her. he even still thought of her as his family. he enjoyed all cats presences, including former family members. he padded over by her, standing next to her. "let's go," he smiled and padded towards the entrance. he slipped out of camp and into the territory, enjoying the calmness of the night. he knew of a patrol going out soon, but he and dawnwatcher could talk and walk, right? he slowed down so he was side by side with the ginger molly. Stormstar - Camp ; Evening "Stay away from the pike" Stormstar's voice was sharp, startling for he very rarely raised his voice, much less raise his voice to Blizzardhawk. Some would call him soft, but he took it as a point of pride that he very rarely ever had to raise his voice to command attention, and that his daughter just as rarely needed to be scolded. At least not by him... Stormstar had, of course, registered that she had a minnow and not the dreaded pike but worry overwhelmed him. "I should make an announcement, no one is to eat the pike." Of course, he wasn't sure that it was the pike itself, it could be any and all the fish– but Duskstar had last eaten a large pike before, well. Stormstar was almost positive, but he had yet to consult StarClan about it, or even Feathercreek. He would hate to sound like a fool. But what if biding his time to gather evidence got more cats sick? His whiskers drooped at the thought, shoulders hunching.
Stormstar then recalled Blizzardhawk's previous statement, about her passed nausea and how Feathercreek ensured her well being. For a moment, the fear subsided. His daughter would not die of food poisoning, at least not if she kept her wits about her. "Oh good, that is good..." His shoulder slumped slightly, just enough to indicate pure relief. "Feeling ill is never an issue, unless of course you were faking illness to get out of something?" A rather pathetic attempt at humor, Stormstar raised a brow.

e v e n i n g d a w n w a t c h e r c a m p "I wanted to talk about training tomorrow. There are some mistakes mentors become used to when regarding their apprentices. These mistakes often become what we see as normal. I was thinking that maybe we could switch apprentices for a little bit. Just for tomorrow and maybe just for the morning. Then at sunhigh, they can train together, perhaps some battle training?" the she-cat suggested, not wanting the tom to know she overheard. Training an apprentice was something she held dear, but it was something she also dreaded at times. When an apprentice snapped at her, she snapped back. This was a vicious cycle of her temper getting the best when she felt wronged, something she'd been trying to work on for a while. Dawnwatcher took in the sights as she waited for his reply, longing for greenleaf to never fade into the abyss of chilly nights and turning leaves. She adored the colors, but the changes in weather and the prey on land becoming scarce truly bothered her. It was the signs that the worst season of all would come: leafbare. Then, parts of the lake would freeze, sickness would rampage, and bellies would rumble into the night.
e v e n i n g b l i z z a r d h a w k c a m p When her father ordered her to not eat pike, Blizzardhawk jumped. Her father rarely commanded her like so, but doing such a thing means that it was surely important. She was sure he didn't mean to frighten her, but warn her. She grew concerned, as pike was what she did eat this morning. "Something is obviously wrong with the pike..." she thought with horror. Nodding at her father's words, she wanted to add her own thoughts. She was so concerned that the tease flew right over her head. "Pike is what I ate this morning. It's a shame, as a majority of our source is pike." she mewed, remembering Duskstar and her sudden death. If whatever was wrong with the pike easily killed Duskstar, that means it's a major danger. She grew concerned over her own health, but that quickly faded when she thought of the entire Clan. Realizing she left his joke unanswered, she quickly thought up a reply in poor tone. "Maybe a moonhigh patrol with you." Her voice was slightly shaky, as she hadn't mastered the calmness her father had, but she still made her attempts. She hoped he would ignore it.

Torrentsquall and Winterwings - Camp "Tell me, are you always so articulate?" A somewhat salty voice murmured, green eyes lazily drifting over a grey form as the white furred warrior lounged by the kill pile, where Torrentsquall had come to root around for food. "Ah... I'm sorry?" Torrentsquall looked around to see if she was indeed talking to him. It appeared she was. He was not sure what he did to irritate the usually affable Winterwings but it had to be some sort of dire infraction. "You should be, you insensitive tom. I said hello to you this morning and all you could do was stare at me in horror" There was a playful bite to her words, but what could she possibly be talking about- oh The muscular male remembered. He'd just left the warriors den, yawning the sleep away when she'd walked into camp, her muzzle stained red and a rare rabbit in her jaws. He'd felt faint just looking at her, so when she'd said hello he'd simply barreled past her. Insulting as he may have behaved, blood really did make him ill. "I'm sorry, there was just- well, you see, there was a bit of- ah. You had reminents of your kill on your face" His words were almost miserable. Torrentsquall wanted to burrow deep underground like a mole, to hide his shame. What sort of warrior feared blood? Winterwings just laughed, "Oh that's what was bothering you. Should have guessed it. Red does stand out more on white fur, does it not?" Now she was just teasing him, pitying him. The male winced and she loosened up her proverbial grip on the conversation.
"No worries, Torrentsquall, I won't hold you under the water for too much longer– thankfully you've never been in a bad fight, eh?" The female teased, almost overly affectionate for one who was nothing more than Clan, not-kin or even a prospective mate. Torrentsquall frowned, "We are all grateful the Clans are in a time of peace" he repeated almost robotically. "Oh you poor boy" Winterwings purred, "You're a sweet one. You must be fighting them off with sticks." Her words, almost sympathetic, confused him even further. "Ahh" he hummed, ears flicking back. "No need to get defensive." Winterwings shrugged, standing up, "You'll know what I mean sooner rather than later. Ta, Torrentsquall" She chuckled as she padded off, likely going to playfully antagonize another cat. The male stood, befuddled. What's gotten into her?

Stormstar - Camp ; Evening Stormstar paled under his pelt, eyes rounding at her words. "Are you sure you're cleared?" He immediately went about sniffing and poking Blizzardhawk, much like he used to do when she was ever so tiny. Always worried his little ones would get sick, the somewhat overprotective father would check them routinely even though he had no idea what symptoms meant what. Poking her belly delicately with a forepaw, "Is it sore? Do you have a stomach ache? Where's Feathercreek– if you ate the pike you shouldn't be out of the medicine den–" Anxiety poured from him like a waterfall. "I should have made an announcement earlier– maybe Duskstar would still be alive if I had– We need to find a new food source. When leafbare comes it's going to be a nightmare." Thinking of leafbare made his mind spiral into a flood of not-good and oh-this-is-worse. Usually he had a better grip on his fears, but Blizzardhawk's ever so casual admission that she'd eaten pike made Stormstar want to have a fit. Not at her, of course, but maybe he would fine Gullbreeze and rant at his own stupidity for a while.
Her last comment had the male send the youth a dry look, but it brought him back to calm. "Clearly you're feeling a bit better if you can sass me" He rumbled, brow furrowed. "Are you absolutely sure you are feeling well?"

{ g u l l b r e e z e } e v e n i n g c a m p gullbreeze listened thoughtfully to his former sister-in-law. he found himself nodding along to her words, agreeing with her. he figured he'd gotten used to whenever heronpaw would simply disagree, which of course he just brushed off. he hadn't dealt with moraypaw, but he knew the rowdy young apprentice probably gave dawnwatcher some trouble. he waved his tail, clearing his throat before speaking. "i agree with you. i'll talk to stormstar about it. heronpaw should be good for you, dawnwatcher. moraypaw.. well i'll get him under control." he purred and gave another small nod of his head. as they walked, he looked forward. he figured tomorrow morning would be the best time to take moraypaw out. dawn patrol, maybe. he knew the young apprentice would probably be annoyed at this, but honestly gullbreeze didn't care. "how has training been going with moraypaw?" he asked curiously. "and how does he act? is he respectful enough?" these were questions he felt like he needed to know. he needed to know how much to put on this apprentice. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

{ c r a n e d a n c e } t i m e p l a c e miss cranedance. better known as mother of the year. better yet, the cat who doesn't have any kits but still prefers to be called a mother. she worked in strange ways. she knew how to get her way with some of the cats in the clan. each day she learned something new about somecat, something she may be able to hold above them later on in their life. however, that was always pushed to the back of her mind as she was a talkative kitty. a chatterbox. she really didn't mind those mindless conversations her comrades were having. they would get bored eventually, but she wouldn't. some found it annoying. anyhow, that morning ended up going pretty smoothly. she'd noticed winterwings with one of those rare little bunnies, deciding she was smart for staying away from the pike. that's how duskstar died, right? stormstar probably would kill anyways. a soft sigh left her maw as the molly delicately padded towards the kill pile. she stood for a moment, trying to decide which prey she would choose. "sunfish... or... squirrel?" pondering on this, she finally chose the sunfish. it was better than biting into a furry little creature. she carried the fish over to a nice shaded spot in camp and laid down, her white and black speckled fur soaking up the warmth of the ground. lifting her head, she saw winterwings padding away from torrensquall. she let out a purr and let out a small giggle. "winterwings! would you like to share?" she called over, her eyes bright. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

Winterwings - Camp "I could share" Winterwings purred, padding over to Cranedance. "And how are you on this fine day?" Sitting down besides the not-quite-a-queen, the white furred female wrapped her tail around her paws. "Your beau still pawing?" A tease, not that she was close to Cranedance. But she did have eyes and Swiftcreek's charm was certainly something to behold, particularly since he'd set his sights on the gorgeous molly beside her. Twas a shame Winterwings did not swing that way, but she could possibly be persuaded to at least oggle. Flicking her ears, she peered down at the sunfish, "You avoiding the pike too?"

Looncall ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looncall was hungry. With the recent death of his own mother, as well as Duskstar, he was leery of the pike, which several of his Clanmates were beginning to worry was tainted. Given that it was such an important food source for the Clan, he felt uneasy. What if any of the other fish started making his Clanmates ill? His black and white pelt ruffled fearfully at the thought and he slipped through some reeds on the edge of camp, eyeing the fresh-kill pile warily. If he got sick, there'd be one less warrior to provide for and protect RiverClan.
The tom's green eyes gloomily turned skyward as his thoughts turned back to his mother. Grief still pierced his heart heavily. They'd been so close, especially following the death of his father when he was just barely an apprentice. He squared his shoulder, deciding that it didn't do to dwell on kin that was no longer around. He had duties he ought to be performing. He could reminisce and daydream later that night when he wasn't needed.

{ c r a n e d a n c e } t i m e p l a c e winterwings and cranedance weren't especially close, but the white speckled molly appreciated a good chat and a few friend. she let out a purr as she wrapped her fluffy plume around her back legs. "i'm doing wonderful today, how about you dear?" she inquired, the white femme beside her had always interested her. winterwings was one of those cats that had always stood out to her, besides swiftcreek. the tease that left the snowy molly surprised her. cranedance really didn't know why she was the subject of swiftcreek's charm, but she certainly enjoyed it. "if you're talking about swiftcreek, save it winterwings. at this moment me and that handsome boy are just friends," she chided in her motherly tone, but deep down she knew that it would escalate. swiftcreek was a charmer and he treated her well with respect. she didn't know how to feel about him quite yet. "you know that's how duskstar died. i'm not taking my chances with the pike. she declared, purring as she took a small bite of the sunfish laying between them. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

Winterwings - Camp "Oh I am doing just fine, love." The sly grin and a head tilt in Crancedance's direction was almost flirtatious but most definitely teasing. Winterwings snorted when Cranedance gave the mildly unconvincing 'we're just friends' explaination. "Mmmhmmm, whatever you say Cranedance... tell you what, you name your first daughter with that handsome fella after me, and we call it even" Green eyes gleamed with her playful comment. She was feeling quite frisky after her earlier interaction with Torrentsquall. Another babe in paws- but his mother would set me on fire if I got close. A humm of contemplation left her, and her thoughts almost distracted her enough from catching the pretty molly's discussion about Duskstar. "Wait that killed her? I'd just thought she keeled over because of self induced stress."
