Flashcloud ate a mouse. She saw Moonshine burst into camp and didn't stop her.

"Wolfstar?" Moonshine called out, into the den.
"Come in. You need to talk?"
"There was border skimish with Wingclan and one of our apprentices were killed."
Wolfstar's eyes grew cold. "Which apprentice?"
"Ashpaw."
Wolfstar dipped her head, silent, before continuing.
"I must make an announcement to the clan, speak to me, later. Wingclan won't get away with this." She told her daughter as she left her to go to the Speakrock.

Wolfstar leaped up onto the Speakrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here." She called out to the clan.

Snipetalon sat down and waited for his leader to announce news
Acorntail sat near Snipetalon.

Wolfstar looked around camp before speaking. "You all know that our fellow apprentice, Ashpaw was killed today, in cold blood by Wingclan. Wingclan will not kill our cats and get away with this. I, Wolfstar, declare war upon Wingclan. We shall push them out of their territory and it ours! Wingclan will feel the pain as many of you feel today!"

Wolfstar leaped off the Speakrock and sat vigil next to Moonpaw, who kept blaming herself for this.

Flashcloud fell into deep sleep.
Acorntail kept shifting and turning. She hated the night that death occured.
Snipetalon wasn't comfortable at all and woke up but went back to sleep soon enough.

Linxpaw thought about whether he should sit vigil or rest instead. Eventually, he decided to sit vigil, so that's what he did.

Moonshine walked over to the apprentice's den and gently called out. "Moonpaw? Are you in there?"
Wolfstar dipped her head and was filled with sadness for this poor apprentice who never should have been killed.

The sun was beginning to rise and Wolfstar lifted up her head. "It's time. We, now, shall bury Ashpaw. Her spirit is up with Moonclan, now."

Flashcloud looked at the sky. Then walked out of her den to find Wolfstar " Dont worry. Ashpaw is in a better place now ... While we wish she can be with us ... " Flashcloud grieved. " Wingclan will pay ... Ashpaw's death will strive my hunger for war ...." Flashcloud said.

Linxpaw gave a slight frown from sadness, before giving a quick little nod. He would make sure Thistlepaw paid next time he saw her on the battle field. He sank his claws into the dirt

Wolfstar turned to her clan. "We will be doing a lot of battle training for these moons to come. Mentors prepare your apprentices. Train hard, including all warriors. We will need to be ready. There will be more border patrols to prevent Wingclan cats from coming here." She announced.
