Dustpaw laid his head in her shoulder. "No one thinks you're weak. No one minds who your parents were. Jasperpaw, no one is going to like you if you push them away. It's hard to approach you. Look at Dewfeather. She isn't clanborn but she's loved by others. No one minds that she wasn't born here. You're making up the problem in your mind." The tom hopped he was being more comforting than nagging. "I don't mind. And neither do others." He wrapped his tail around her.

Dustpaw smiled and purred as he started to see her sweet side. "I'd like that a lot. Let's get in trouble together." He laughed. Dustpaw stood up and started to leave the hollow. "Let's hurry before anyone else finds them!"

" what if we get in a fight we could get some real battle scars"! she loved fighting and she hoped to get a few battle scars from protecting her clan. "I bet you'd look super tough with some scars from outsiders." Dustpaw purred. He rather not have anymore battle wounds. He already had a messed up paw and face hunting for his clan. "They'd probably give you your Warrior name." He said thoughtfully. "Something like Jasperscar or maybe Jasperslash." He purred. "Jasperclaw also would be cool." He said as they padded through the long grass. |

Dustpaw's one eye widened in shock as he spotted the fox. "Thats a fox." Dustpaw began to explain. "Lichencloud told me about them once when I was a kit. He told me one time, a fox ate a warrior whole." This was way out of their skill range. Dustpaw started to feel nervous but didn't want Jasperpaw to think he was scared if she wasn't. "We should go get a warrior and come back to fight it." He didn't want to let Jasperpaw down, but he didn't want to die either.

Dustpaw didn't have time to think now. He wasn't ready to lose his only friend and crush to a fleabrained fox. He leaped at the fox, biting down on it's neck and clawed at it's muzzle. The fox tried to shake him off, but he clung on for dead life like a tick.

Dustpaw tried to claw the foxes eyes with his good paw but the angle was all wrong. He reached with his twisted one and raked his claws down one of the foxes eyes. The fox let out a yelp of pain and tried to shake him off even more.

"Go back to camp and get a warrior! We can't win this one alone." He yowled. "I'll stay here and make sure any unexpecting cat doesn't get hurt." The truth was he couldn't get down from the fox or he'd lose his balance and the fox would get him.
(I have Batflight and Spiderheart open if no one else is. Or maybe Rosewing. I think I'll make her Dustpaw's mentor.)

" I'm not going to leave you by yourself" She cried. " we have to fight it off on our own". she ducked and raked her claws down the fox's belly. the fox let out a yelp of surprise. Dustpaw knew he wouldn't get the stubborn she-cat to leave. He'd have to fight it along side her until the fox fled. "Keep aiming for it's belly!" He called out to her as he sunk his claws into the foxes eyes. |

She kicked at the fox's belly with her back claws. then clawed as hard as she could with her front claws. " Get out of here you mangy flea pelt." she yowled. Dustpaw sank his claws deeper. With both apprentices attacking it, the fox yelped and started to flee. Dustpaw barely had time to jump off the fox and roll on the ground. He huffed. After that stressful battle, he was ready to rest. We... Did it..." He mewed, out of breath. |
