-there's a tribe right next to a few clans, and they're all chill with their differences but they do argue over their ancestors/religion/that kind of thing. sometimes a tribe member joins the clans and a clan cat joins the tribe, and they're sort of discriminated against after that, mostly by the cats they left and the very most traditional cats in the place they join, and there are issues with that. (rough idea, more about it below)

origins oceanclan
a clan that lives in the forests by the coast. their territory contains a delta with brackish water closer to the sea and many mangrove trees. their camp is partially in the mangrove trees, where they are closest together, and on the bank right next to it. many of these cats do not prefer open spaces, although they will go out to the coastline occasionally. they often hunt both forest prey and fish. some of their faith belongs to the many trees that protect them and give them shelter as well as starclan.

surprisingly enough, this tribe does not sleep under the stars. taking their faith from both their ancestors and nature, the tribe of endless sky has two camps- one underground in their plains during the dry season, and one situated under the mountains near the back of their territory when the underground tunnel is too damp for comfort. these cats love both open ground and the tunnels running under it. their main prey are rabbits and other animals that they chase over a distance rather than stalk. occasionally, a hunting party will ambush a large seabird, whether it be an osprey, sea eagle, or something else, by waiting for it to catch an animal like a rabbit or mouse and then pouncing. it is dangerous, but the rewards are high.

- three clans, one tribe
- by the coast- one in a forest, one forest/plains with the largest stretch of beach, one on an island connected by a bridge /w old twoleg stuff, and one plains with lots of tunnels. a few mountains run along the back edges of the three on the coast
- the FOREST group ; spruceclan. territory contains delta, brackish water closer to the coastline, mangrove forest, some beach
- the HALF/HALF + BEACH group ; tideclan. territory contains part of the forest, part of the plains, and the long beach + caves by shore cliffs
- the PLAINS group ; the tribe of endless sky. territory contains the plains, the network of tunnels underneath it, some beach, and caves by the mountains in the back. has two camps for wet/dry seasons.
- the ISLAND group ; oceanclan. territory contains everything on the island + the smaller islands around it, and the bridges connecting them. most of the island is a forest with very tall trees, and there is an abandoned twoleg shelter on the island.
- gatherings aren't for starclan, they're a gesture of goodwill and checking up on eachother.
- medcat gatherings do not include the tribe. they believe in two different higher powers.
- every group has two-three messengers for things that are emergencies or cannot wait until the gathering. they are treated warmly in every camp.
- the tribe is a bit different. they have protectors + hunters + tunnelers + messengers, and cloudteller (the stoneteller equivalent) has extra lives (three lives total- one for the sky, one for the land, one for the sea, no lives added because of traits)
- cloudteller is also granted with the ability to speak with the tribe's ancestors during the day, although only they and their to-be can see and speak with them.
- if a cloudteller dies before chosing a to-be or the to-be is too young, another cat is voted cloudteller. the to-be still inherits the role when the cloudteller dies.
- the tribe has their faith in both nature & ancestors
- cats can switch between clan to tribe or the opposite. they're taught what each group believes as a kit and they tell their leader what they wish to do. it's not super common, but it happens. they are usually discriminated against by the more traditional cats in each group.
- even rarer is a clan cat that does not feel at home in their clan / territory and switches to another one. the clan they leave usually resents them but for a few, and the clan they go to is cautiously welcome. again, this happens as they become apprentices.
- if they wish to go somewhere else, they do not have an apprenticing / to-be ceremony at their group. instead, they accompany their group to the next gathering and go to the group they want to be in. with tribe cats, they are taught what the three clans are like so if they wish to leave they know who they will go with. kits stick near the deputy of their chosen group / the cloudteller of the tribe if they're a former clan cat and go to their territory to stay. they are apprenticed when they get to the camp after being renamed by the leader / cloudteller, and live on with that group afterwards. (clan to clan switches do not have renamings.)

surprisingly enough, this tribe does not sleep under the stars. taking their faith from both their ancestors and nature, the tribe of endless sky has two camps- one underground in their plains during the dry season, and one situated under the mountains near the back of their territory when the underground tunnel is too damp for comfort. these cats love both open ground and the tunnels running under it. their main prey are rabbits and other animals that they chase over a distance rather than stalk. occasionally, a hunting party will ambush a large seabird, whether it be an osprey, sea eagle, or something else, by waiting for it to catch an animal like a rabbit or mouse and then pouncing. it is dangerous, but the rewards are high.
