Lakepaw yawned in the bright sun. He stretched leisurely and smiled. Light shone on his pelt, but he quickly recoiled. Many cats were in the clearing...to many. They all seemed to be staring at him. Why? Did he do something wrong? His vision cleared. No, he was being to careful. Nobody was staring at him. Lakepaw, stop worrying. He told himself.

Lilydawn purred happily, "of course I will. Those two kits are the sweetest." She looked around for the two, her eyes happy.
Mistypaw nodded and looked up at where her mother was calling the meeting.
Liontail followed close behind her, a purr escaping him.
Rainstar watched her clan gather, "I've called you all here to announce that I have decided to choose a deputy."

Watersplash perked her ears as she sat down at the back of the crowd. She had always wanted to become Deputy, she would love to lead the Clan someday but she knew it would never happen.

Rainstar looked out at her clan, "My new deputy will be Addertooth." She announced. She had noticed the passion and effort Addertooth put in to being the best he could for the clan.

Not sure how that happens though. I thought they became mates when they had kits?)))
Watersplash brightened her gaze as she looked at Liontail."Imagine being chose to be Deputy!" She meowed out loud. Not to anyone in particular. She leaned into Liontail more, making their fur visibly touch.

Moonwhisker purred. "You could both work on being stronger and faster. I don't think either is better than the other." He looked around for Foxpaw to begin their training for the day.
Oakpaw listened to the clan meeting, glad that Rainstar had chosen Addertooth as the deputy. He was a valuable warrior.

Foxpaw cheered for Addertooth, sure that he would make a great deputy. Her amber eyes scrutinized the camp for Moonwhisker, her mentor. She hadn't trained yet that day and the ginger apprentice was very eager to learn. She found him and walked over to where he was. "What are we doing today?" she asked.

Liontail purred quietly but stopped, the clan didn't know about them yet and they weren't technically together. He couldn't be too close to her until he asked her to be his mate, but he wasn't sure he was ready for that.
"I believe you will Addertooth." Rainstar purred. "The meeting is finished, continue with your duties." She announced.

Swiftflight was amazed by the clan meeting and how respectful all the cats were of each other. He exhaled as a quick smirk flicked on his face. He thought of the times before where fellow cats would fight and yowl at each other, and his back shuddered.
He shook his head, smiled again and started to walk away, trying to find others to talk to.

Leafsong saw a cat standing among all of the rest at the ceremony, a cat that she didn't recognize. She had heard a cat named Swiftflight had joined the Clan recently. Perhaps this was him? She decided to find out. The medicine cat padded over to the tom. "Hi, I'm Leafsong, WillowClan's medicine cat. You're Swiftflight, aren't you?"

Swiftflight was fairly taken aback by Leafsong's question as he wasn't expecting it, and he wasn't too sure how to answer it without freaking anyone out.
"Uh, well, it's certainly different to what I've known before!" he mewed "I've never been in a clan. It's so...organised and respectful. Completely different to my life before."
He sighed, looking down at the ground again.
"It's odd, I really like this place, but I'm not used to it so I'm just kinda...confused how to react."
He quickly looked up again.
"S-sorry. I didn't mean to blurt that out..."

Oakpaw decided to approach Rainstar once she finished the clan meeting. "Hello, Rainstar," he murmured shyly, "I was curious about what we'd be doing in training today?"

Darkwind wasn't so sure about Addertooth. However, he wasn't going to question it. Darkwind just hoped that Addertooth wouldn't charge head first into a pointless battle.

Rainstar turned her attention from her apprentice and looked at Addertooth. She believed he was a loyal warrior but she needed to watch him. She knew how he felt about weakness and hoped that he wouldn't let that blind him when it came to the clan's safety. She glanced across the clearing at Darkwind and then looked down at her paws.
