Morningleaf tilted her head to the side. "I hadn't really thought about it, do you think we should? It was probably just a fox, nothing to really be worried about."

Honeyfrost nearly jumped out of her fur. "A fox? That's important!" She sniffed the air. "I don't know where Sparrowstar is, definitely not in the camp."
(Perhaps Sparrowstar, Graynight, and Dapplepaw get jumped by the fox...)

- - Shatterfang
"Ah. Um..," she looked outside the camp, trying to think of a suitable place to find prey. "How about the Song Stream?" she suggested, exiting the camp and trying to smell the path to the stream. "I think there are always birds singing there. Not for much longer," she chuckled, glancing back at the tom and started to make her way to the stream.

(This is my starter from earlier for Tallpine.)
- - Tallpine
Tallpine licked his paw, soaking in the sunshine leaking in through the treetops. He was leaning against a large pine tree, watching the cats mill about while he relaxed. Looking over, he saw his sister, Shatterfang, grabbing a bit of fresh kill from the pile and sit down with it in the middle of camp. Bold, he thought, preferring to stay at the edge of camp.

Stonestreak walked out of the den, yawning. She didn't know what exactly to do with her day, perhaps hunting? Maybe a patrol. She looked over to the edge of camp and saw Tallpine hanging about. The she-cat cracked a smile and padded over. "Hey there!" She meowed, still smiling. Quickly adopting a more comfortable position, Stonestreak sat down and curled her tail over her paws. "How are you doing?"

- - Tallpine
Tallpine looked up at the she-cat, a little startled, but quickly recognized her and relaxed. "Oh, hello Stonestreak. I'm fine. A little bored... You?" He let his tail rest in a loose circle around his dark brown paws. Unbelievably bored is more like it, but it's probably best not to complain a ton to cat you barely know, he thought sarcastically to himself.

Race you there!" He started off at a light jog, not wanting to leaver her too far behind.

Shatterfang let out a laugh, then after a short crouch, she darted after him toward the Song Stream. "Good luck, Thorn!" She quickly started to gain on him, jumping over roots and dodging the thick pine trees that lazily scattered themselves in the most inconvenient places through the tall forest.

[ starter!! it's like three in the morning so sorry for mistakes. i truly don't care about capitalization at the moment. also, open to anyone who's willing to interact with this sad little bean. ]
foolishness. idiocy. anxiety. they were all he felt. he was a fool, a coward. only wanting peace within. it was a wonder he hadn't been murdered yet. although, he had great potential. he was smart, kind. yet he was insecure. it was nearly maddening, how he thought everyone felt a loathing for him. the tom, Honeyfall, felt as of everyone within the clan hated him with burning passion.
he couldn't help it, really. how he felt was out of his control, always had been, always will be. although, he never truly had a reason to believe it. he wasnt really different, appearance wise. yet his personality was unique, but it came at a great cost.
he was a coward.
honey allowed the thought to sweep through his mind, a sigh wisping from his throat. his crystallized, oceanic gaze floated across the camp. he hid within the shadows, always too afraid to reveal himself, fearing that each and every one of his insecurities and flaws will shine through with a single glance.
raising a paw, honeyfall flattened his ears and blinked. nobody would ever talk to him. clanmates grow, become attracted to others, have or adopt kits and have a family. they have friends, family, and more. he's just.. there. in his eyes, he is just a way to take up space. anxiety, depression and self-doubt were all that consumed his mind.
he couldn't see the good within himself. honey only saw a cowardice lump of saddened fur. he was truly intelligent, kind, funny, and caring. he was brave when others were in danger. he found peace in the most hazardous of situations. but all he saw, everytime he looked into a reflective surface, was... a nobody.
his head fell against his white paws, the ginger tabby fur upon his spine ruffled, yet groomed with care. "why can't i just be normal, and love myself as i should? why can't i just believe in myself?"

There is never much to do around here, though I suppose that could be a good thing?" Noticing she never actually answered him she quickly added, "But besides that I'm good, thanks." Making new friends was one of her goals as a newer warrior. She didn't know Tallpine too well at all, so this could be a good opportunity. (Sorry for such a late response, I fell asleep!)

"Don't wait up." he glared at Tigerlight as he padded out of the nursery. Glancing around, he spotted Honeyfall. With slight hesitation, he trotted over and layed down next to the ginger tom, not speaking a word.

honey jumped, startled to see the other tom. he passed a quick swipe over his maw before curling his slender tail closer around himself. crystal eyes gleaming, honeyfall scanned the kit with his peripheral vision, ears perked.
digging his claws into the ground, the small ginger and white tabby slowly, cautiously, turned his head towards the kit. gathering up the courage, he cocked his head to the side and spoke with a whispered mew, "hello.. you're fogkit, right?"
flattening his once ruffled fur, honey awaited an answer, yet didn't really expect one. no one would ever want to talk to sad little honeyfall. holding back a whimper, he flattened his ears yet again, forcing himself to focus on the kit, not the depressive thoughts coursing through his mind.

Fogkit didn't look at the tom. He stared straight ahead, pausing for a moment or two before answering. "Yes." he said simply. Looking the tom straight in the eye, he meowed, "And you are Honeyfall."
(Maybe Fogkit could teach him a lesson later on about loving yourself or getting out of your comfort zone or something.)

Streamsong flicked her tail as she padded into camp with her prey. She spotted Fogkit and Honeyfall in a corner of the camp, and wondered what was going on.
She didn't go over, though, and walked over to the medicine cat den to get herbs for some scratches she got while out hunting.

[ sounds like a plan ]
honey blinked, his pupils dilating. he sniffed, nose twitching, and sat up slowly. "why are you over here?" he asked, his voice but a mere whisper. leaning towards fogkit, he stopped when his nose was nearly touching the latter's. "why aren't you with friends? family? running around like most kits? nobody every comes to me upon their own accord," spoke the small tom.
he sat straight again, his gaze rested upon fogkit. honey was utterly confused, and his eyes let that through. it wasn't hard to read him. he was like an open book! every little emotion he felt shone from his crystal eyes, like they were transparent and allowed all to see through his soul.
he looked down, his paws twitching. honey let a slow, calming breath release from his lungs, attempting to relax and keep his nerves from acting up.

runningsky123 Thanks for the notice!)) (Hey, why not? XD) - - Shatterfang Shatterfang looked up at the tom with a tilt of her head, then smiled a little. "Sure. I could use something to do," she mewed, her heavy lisp coming through a little in her words. She stretched her paws out in front of her before standing up and slowly padding toward the exit out of camp. Ah, now I don't have to feel bad about taking the squirrel, she thought, flicking her tail for him to follow. Thornshade's breath caught in his throat as he followed her. "Where do you think we should hunt?" Morningleaf dropped the rabbit in her jaws. "Actually the opposite. It must've been running from a different predator; it was pretty tired when i caught it. But I am so glad i did." Honeyfrost pricked her ears "A predator? Shouldn't we warn Sparrowstar?" Honeyfrost fretted. "Anything that could mean danger should be reported right away." Although Needlepelt knew Tigerlight meant well, she wanted to tell her mate that perhaps Fogkit likely wasn't going to accept his offers. She bit back her response the moment she realized she would be speaking up for Fogkit instead of letting him stand up for himself. "Where's Mosskit off to?" she asked them, trying to change the subject before Fogkit might become annoyed at Tigerlight. Fogkit opened his mouth to snap at Tigerlight and say that he didn't need some pushy warrior to teach him what he already knew, but Needlepelt had already spoken. "I dunno," he meowed, turning so his back was to the two. Tigerlight gazed at the kit with sympathy. Turning back to Needlepelt, he asked, "Do you need anything?" He believed it would be better to leave the kit to cool down than to push him into doing something he didn't want to do. "A mouse would be nice," Needlepelt mewed, glad that Fogkit bit back his harsh reply.

"I came over here because I knew you wouldn't bother me or ask if I'm alright. I know you are alone too."

honeyfall widened his eyes, slowly raising his gaze. "so you're like me.." he twitched, curling in on himself. "no friends, no family." chuckling softly, honey lowered his already quiet voice, a silent sob escaping him. no, don't have a breakdown now!
his form was trembling, sobs shaking him. always at worst of moments, he broke down. every single time. especially on the topic of his family. hatefulness of himself coursed through his veins, and he stifled a yowl, as he wasn't in the territory like usual.

- - Shatterfang
Feeling the thin leaves of small bushes brush against her short, black fur, she saw Thornshade run up next to her. She turned her head to flash him a brief smile as the sound of their paws hitting the ground ricocheted of the ground, then suddenly noticed the faint trickle of water. The stream! she thought excitedly, craning her neck to see up ahead. "Eat my dust!" she shouted with a laugh, darting up ahead toward Song Stream.
- - Tallpine
Tallpine chuckled lightly in agreement. "Ugh. So boring. I don't see how it's good. I'd much rather be on a patrol, or hunting, or climbing," he mewed, then paused and gave a little amused shake of his head. "I bet a sound like a little kit right now," he added with a twitch of his whiskers.

Stonestreak gave a small laugh at his comment. "You aren't the only one, believe me." She stopped to think for a moment before offering. "Speaking of hunting, seeing as neither of us are doing anything productive, would you want to go see if we can catch anything?" Hunting would be a welcome distraction from the sheer uneventfulness of her day. Perhaps she would actually catch something to bring back.

Tallpine stretched a little before standing up slowly. "That sounds great. Bet I can catch more," he teased, grinning a bit. He started to pad toward the exit of camp with a flick of his tail for the she-cat to follow him out. Huh. This could be fun. Who knew that actually making an effort with other cars worked? he thought to himself sarcastically.

"Oh as if!" Stonestreak scoffed, and gave a laugh. Realizing the tom had already started to walk out, she quickly jogged over to catch up with him. "Perhaps to make winning even more worthwhile.. we should make a bet!" Bets were always good natured, this could be a great deal of fun. I'm surprised he actually wanted to come! I'm glad he did agree, today shouldn't be too boring after all. she smiled at the thought.

"I can tell you miss them." he slowly calmed down, yet still trembled drastically. his eyes held a depressive, vulnerable glint to them, yet he spoke, even with a shaky voice. "my mother died when giving birth to me and my sister, dawnkit. she soon died, too, as she had been weakly since birth. my father denied ever having me, as he blamed me for mother's death. i was also born a molly, and he didn't like that i wanted to be a tom. father left the clan, not even saying goodbye."
honeyfall curled impossibly closer to himself, his ears flat. his voice began to even out, less shakiness laced within it. "i never knew my mother, of course, but iheard that she was beautiful. from what i had heard as a kit, i have her eyes and pelt pattern. dawnkit had her colouring, but father's eyes. i was the only one with this colour fur. not even father had it," he sighed, looking towards the sky. "sometimes i wish with all my heart that they're watching over me, proud at how i've grown. but i know they aren't happy with how i've become an outcast who believes everyone loathes him."
he dropped his head upon his paws again, dropping onto his side with a small thud.

"I'm intrigued," he mewed curiously, his ears perking up a little at the idea. "What do you propose?" He turned back, waving his tail against the ground as he tilted his head in interest. Glad I got asked to go by you, he thought, realizing today was going to be a lot more interesting than he had originally thought. He loved bets. Well, mainly when he won, but the spirit of them was pretty fun.
