Hollysnag let out a snort, his shoulders hunched as he made his way to the medicine den. He was sure he'd caught some kind of cough, seeing as his throat was always dry and he was having a hard time breathing, then there was the most obvious factor as well, which was the coughing fits. "Lionleap." He meowed as he entered, his voice sounding hoarse, far from the clear, rich sound it normally had. "Can you check me for whitecough?"

"I don't need to check you over to tell you've picked up something," said Lionleap, swishing her tail. She sniffed Hollysnag and slipped away from him as he coughed. "Don't make me sick!" she said jokingly. "I can't trust Tigerpaw to all these herbs." She turned and pawed her way through an assortment of old herbs. "Juniper berries... they're old, better get rid of them... dried tansy.... well, its newleaf now, we don't need dried herbs... aha!" She turned around with a jawful of slightly dried Catmint. "Have this," she said. "It's not great, but it'll do until I can get some more. Maybe I'll send Tigerpaw to fetch it for you."

Hollysnag merely flicked an ear to her words and licked up the herbs, relishing in their sweet flavour as he slowly chewed them up. When he swallowed he flinched as if it hurt, his face contorting to almost a snarl until all traces of the leaf had been swallowed. "Thanks, Lionleap." He rasped, swiping his tongue around his mouth. The exposed part of his mouth where part of the upper lip had torn off wasn't looking too well either, being wrinkled, greying, and appeared quite dry compared to the rest of his mouth.

"No problem, Hollysnag. If it gets worse, let me know. I may have to keep you in the medicine den if it does." She padded back into the medicine den to take stock. The tansy was old and dried, they'd need fresher tansy now. The juniper berries were old and withered, new ones of them too. Lionleap sighed. "Tigerpaw!" she called. "We need to collect some herbs!"

Hollysnag gave a nod and padded out to the warriors den, watching as the much smaller Tigerpaw passed him while on his way to the medicine den.
Poking his head in, Tigerpaw sighed and looked at Lionleap. "Do we really have to?" He meowed, flattening his ears in dissatisfaction. He'd only just gotten back to Tanglepath and had been interrupted once more, making it seem like even StarClan didn't want him to check over the warriors. "We'd better go quickly, then, I want to check the warriors over before the sun goes down."

((I edited this so you could respond to it w Tanglepath)) Palethistle watched the she-cat gulp down the prey before he finally relaxed, the exhaustion from constantly being on his paws finally getting to him. "Would you like to head out and stretch your legs? I'll come with you, of course, just in case." He suggested this even though he just wanted to curl up in his nest and sleep for a moon straight. "Of course!" Eaglewind bounced to her feet. "It's BORING sometimes sitting around! Having kits is harder than I thought it would be and they're not even born yet!" Tanglepath nodded respectfully to Tigerpaw. "Of course we can." |
