Gladeskimmer tilted her head, saying "There's always something to hunt. It'll just take a little longer before we find it." The "little longer" part wasn't that soaking to the warrior though, being a bundle of energy. And energy liked to move around and get things done. Even if it was just staring at a leaf. Her brain was still doing something. Still walking, she recalled "I remember my first catch. It was a mouse just north of here. I tired myself out, nearly died from lack of breath from all the running. I probably needed enough Gillyroot to kill me anyway, but I caught the mouse. What about you? What was your first catch?"

Mistmask froze, surprised. She couldn't even remember what she had caught early this morning. "I...uh. Can't remember." She was very embarrassed about that. "I can remember a lot about when I was a kit, but I think my apprentice moons...just passed." She looked down at her paws. Then she looked up again and grinned. "Still bet that I can catch a mouse before you though."

"Hey! Gladeskimmer!" Branches rustled overhead and Crystalpaw leaped down from the pine trees, showering the other two cats in pine needles, "You forgot about me again," She complained and landed partially a little clumsily onto the hard dirt and her tail lashed softly with slight irritation. (I gtg, I'll be on tomorrow! )

"A..... Okay. I suppose that's settled! Shall we leave now?" Puddlesplash felt awkwardness take over as he got up and shrugged slightly, a bit clueless. He watched as the rain fell down in sheets and shivered slightly, hating to get cold.
( Sorry for not seeing it! )

Hailspots nodded, her coat getting slightly more drenched as the rain seemed to start to gather in harder drops. "Sure. I've already managed the patrols for the day; most of the apprentices are out training, and there was a hunting patrol earlier as well." She trotted out happily into the full on rain, enjoying the hard droplets beating down on her fur, like a massage.

mintedstar/fur tigercry"I wish I was still a kit," Gladeskimmer decided thoughtfully "I could get away with everything." She then looked as her apprentice showed up, and an ear flicked. "I didn't forget about you," she said "I just didn't say we were doing anything today." Walking around her apprentice, she offered to Mistmask "Want to try hunting anyway? I know you said there isn't much around here, but that makes it more rewarding if or when we find something, right?" That, and she now needed to entertain Crystalpaw. What a better opportunity for training anyway! Gladeskimmer looked at Mistmask for her opinion, or if she even wanted to accompany her and Crystalpaw on a hunting lesson.

Smokey Feather tigercry"Sure," said Mistmask. "That will be fine." She smiled, head tilting to show that she was willing to try even though it looked like there was nothing around. She suddenly felt a little like she was interfering, but clearly Gladeskimmer didn't see it like that, so the she-cat didn't worry more than a second about it. "Should we try somewhere deeper into the territory?" she asked the older warrior.

Puddlesplash gave a small nod in return, feeling his pelt slowly get plastered onto his body by the heavy rain. Honestly, he didn't care though, because at least it was thick enough to block out most of the cold. He gave a shaky smile and padded after Hailspots, lingering behind as always for a few moments to think about something but quickly following after. "Yes, erm.. Alright."

(Sorry, I've been really busy lately! )
Crystalpaw flicked the water droplets from her ears before listening for prey, slightly annoyed by the drum of the water drowning out the soft sounds of the forest. Mouse-dung! Stupid Rain! "I don't hear anything at the moment," she mewed a little grumpily and flicked her tail to get rid of the water flattening her fur. "I like Mismask's idea."

Puddlesplash nodded, dipping his head afterwards. "Oh, hello!" He was a bit scared now that there was another cat about to join the little patrol, because being around others wasn't exactly his strong suit. He attempted to staunch the nervous scent emanating from him and attempted to make his fur flat again.

[ I have my cat Dewtalon, Snowy? ]
Hailspots glanced back to see Puddlesplash seem a bit nervous as they headed out of camp. Was it because she was the deputy? The gray and white spotted she-cat dipped her head slightly, her ears lowering if just by centimeters with sadness. These ranks... I'll give it up if I have to! I don't want him to be nervous around me! I just want to be a normal clanmate to him... The she-cat had to resist letting out a saddened sigh.

Puddlesplash took a deep breath and risked a glance at Hailspots. He was a bit scared around a member of the clan a bit higher ranked than him, even though he had no reason to. Maybe he felt he had to be at his best? Feeling his thoughts drift away absently for a moment, he wondered whether squirrels could be green. No.. Probably not. Maybe? No. Also, where was the warriors' den again? Ahh.. Yes. He would check again later. Trying to pull himself from his own daydreams, he shut his eyes for a moment and then opened them.

@brambleisback | Hailspots Hailspots cleared any hint of sadness from her voice with a cough, and to get the attention of the cat following her. "Do you have any preference as to where we hunt?" She asked.
___
snowy | Waspleap and Dewtalon Waspleap gave a yawn and stretched out his golden paws, claws outstrechted as he padded forward. He glanced around camp, boredom bright in his eyes. Usually he'd be hiding in a corner away from any possible traitors like his father, but it had been raining, and his normal sulking corner had gotten soaked.
(I just realized I haven't done anything with Waspleap yet; I hope you don't mind that I switched characters!)

(Np that's fine! ) Stupid rain, Tangleclaw hissed into her mind, raindrops hitting her pelt with each passing moment New-leaf is supposed to bring fresh life, not horrible weather! A fresh squirrel was clamped in between her jaws, now soaked in rain water. Almost everything was wet in camp; the dens, the fresh kill pile, and her brown fur. Shaking off a wave of annoying rain she padding towards the fresh-kill pile and quickly placed the squirrel down, licking her her lips at the sight. More work for me to do this season, but it will be worth it.

Waspleap spotted Tangleclaw fussing over a squirrel that had gotten soaked in the downpour and padded up to her. If he had to be around camp today, he might as well be friendly. "Hello Tangleclaw," He called, waving his tail. "Would you like to hear a joke?"

"No, not really. Where would you like to go to hunt? Preferably somewhere with a good amount of prey, I'm not exactly the best hunter..." Puddlesplash admitted with an awkward smile, shaking out his fur to get rid of the rain and looking around to take a little sniff of the air. "Actually... A lot of animals do seem to be out now anyways even thought the rain is still coming down pretty hard. I suppose they like it like us?" He guessed with amusement in his voice. His tone didn't really mirror what was going on in his mind, a whirlwind of thoughts that were all mixed up with the big one of trying to stay concentrated. It was like holding in a sneeze.... His mind kept on wandering.

Hailspots flicked her ears, though secretly she was relieved that he wasn't fidgeting around like he didn't want to be near her. She smiled as she replied, "Maybe they do like the rain." The deputy swished her white patched gray tail. "Should we go to the Bat Cave? It's a bit gloomy, but there's always good prey around that area."

"Sure! I think it's that way, right?" Puddlesash screwed up his face and tried to see through the rain to no avail as he spoke, gesturing to a spot in the distance somewhere. "I think it's around there." He tried to act smart and confident, but it was very hard. Like, really hard. He kept on padding along after Hailspots and hoped that she knew the exact way.

Hailspots had to resist from laughing. It was quite funny to see him try and act like he knew the territory by heart, even though everyone knew that he didn't really pay attention to his surroundings. "We're almost there." She assured with a chuckle.

"Yes, O..Okay." Puddlesplash confirmed awkwardly. "I really can't see anything through the rain... But maybe I didn't know where it was in the first place. It's awfully hard to remember when there are so many more important things." He admitted with a little shrug. Well, maybe not as important, but important to me. Now... What time of day was it exactly? Not sure. Stray thoughts began to drift through his head but he focused on what was directly ahead in front of him.

(Sorry for that late reply! D:)
Rain dripped down Tangleclaws's face, licking it off proved nothing since more rain poured onto her body. Hearing a voice from a far pulled her back to normal thoughts of caring for the clan. She turned her head, spotting Waspleap next to her. A low growl rumbled in Tangleclaw's throat. "If this 'joke' of yours Waspleap could get rid of this stupid rain then I would love to hear it." She flicked her tail, starting to pad away.
