Ruststar's eyes widened a bit, he wasn't expecting for Sweetflower to admit something like that. His face softened and he chuckled a bit at how much she was blushing. "There's no need to apologize. In fact my last mate, Hailstorm's mother, got even more flustered than you did just now admitting she liked me. You remind me of her in some ways." He smiled warmly at Sweetflower. "I think she'd be happy to see me take on a new mate." He gazed upwards towards the glimpse of blue sky visible from the cave roof as if looking straight into StarClan.

SweetFlower's eyes widened a bit in shock, happiness, and love "Oh RustStar really? you really mean it? oh you have no idea how much I've dreamed of this moment" She bounded over to RustStar and licked his ear with a soft purr

Ruststar smiled at the she-cat as she licked his ear, he was happy to once again have what he lost so long ago. He had no doubt that Hailstorm would find the news to be amazing, his son would probably immediately ask when he would be getting new siblings to look after. He leaned against Sweetflower and licked the top of her head. He knew things were going to be going well for his clan.

Hailstorm looked up from his meal abruptly. "Is something wrong?" He asked curiously.
Ruststar laughed at his son's concern. "No no, nothing's wrong. We just wanted to tell you that we've decided to become mates." He smiled warmly at his son waiting for him to take in what he had told him.

Hailstorm took a moment to process the information. When it finally settled in that his dad had taken a new mate he couldn't help but jump for joy. "This is amazing news! I'm so happy for you!" He said bouncing around like an overgrown kit. "I can't wait to tell Swiftclaw, she'll be so happy!"
Ruststar beamed at his son's enthusiasm. His heart swelled with happiness as he could see his family as whole once more.

(Our event poll has ended and the winner is a prophecy! It will take me a day or two to come up with one so bear with me. I will be selecting cats at random so please don't be upset if your cat isn't chosen. Also the deadline for the inactive members to rejoin us has been shortened and they will all be removed so I will be opening up a new HauntedClan forum page. Thank you for dealing with this. You all rock ) (P.S. Please refer to the main page clan info for any and all changes including mentor and apprentice pairs and what positions need to be filled. Aka Deputy and Med-Cat.) (P.S.S. 1: I will link the new page below. 2: I've used the same starting post as I did on this HauntedClan forum so my three cats are now currently doing something and you are free to interact with them. Also, for Sweetflower and Ruststar, the conversation about becoming mates and then telling Hailstorm came before the new post in the remade HauntedClan page so Fernstream you don't have to worry about having to redo that whole thing. 3: Silentpaw had a mentor that was inactive so Hailstorm will be her mentor even though I'm not good with apprentices. 4: Finally, I will be making a separate joining page for HauntedClan to keep the main clan page nice and tidy.
