Spider watched the two cats curiously. She figured that the tom who had come to join the calico she-cat must be another member of this 'OrchardClan' and so must the cat that the calico wanted to find, Orchardstar. This definitely seemed strange to her, but she said nothing, just sat there looking at the two cats, wondering what they would do next. |

"Well, I didn't know it was your territory," Spider replied rudely. Not that it really would have made a difference. A squirrel is a squirrel, whoever's territory it's on. "I was hungry, and I saw a squirrel." The black she-cat's gaze dropped to the rabbit that the calico had caught. "That's a nice rabbit you got there." |

"Yes it is and it is for our clan. Thornshade if you stay here I will go find Orchardstar. " She picked up the rabbit and started off in a random direction so she wouldn't lead the rouge anywhere near the camp.

Spider felt a bolt of anger strike her when the calico walked away with the rabbit. She had wanted it for herself. Still, she didn't want the other Clan cat- Thornshade- to know that his Clanmate had gotten to her, so she started to groom her paw. |

(good morning all! i have some news that you need to know. its nothing bad! i will (hopefully) be leaving wednesday morning for a trip to florida. (weather permitting, of course) and i will not be back until tuesday. if there is anything super major that happens, then someone can roleplay as orchardstar for the sake of the plot, and to keep the story going. please let me know if you are willing to do that if the need arises! you all have been around long enough, and know my roleplay style. i dont expect a perfect match to my style of course, but please try to keep it similar to mine! thanks in advance!)
OrchardStar was heading towards the border when she heard pounding pawsteps, and she stopped, waiting. seeing DawnLight, the she-cat flicked her tail. "is everything alright?" the leader asked her warrior cautiously.

"show me where" OrchardStar ordered, putting the trip to starclan to the back of her mind for now. she needed to deal with this first, even though deep in her heart she just wanted to run to starclan. indicating for the warrior to lead the way, she followed behind DawnLight.

OrchardStar followed, bounding beside her warrior, while still letting DawnLight be slightly in the lead, to show where they were going. When she saw ThornShade, she slowed, and then stopped beside him, and in front of the rouge. "thank you thornshade for standing guard." she meowed to the tom. "DawnLight, thank you for coming to find me right away" she added. facing the rouge again, she flicked her tail. for now, her claws stayed sheathed. no need for bloodshed just yet. "what is your name" the leader asks the rouge.

OrchardStar considered this, and then dipped her head. "i understand that you did not know about us beforehand. so now, i will give you your options. you may join us, and learn our ways. you will have a place to call home, friends, a supply of food, which of course you will be expected to help keep it stocked, and access to our medicine cat, who will help you if you ever get sick or are injured." the leader meowed, sitting down opposite the loner. she did not want to make things tense. "your other option is to leave our territory. and not to come back. if you choose to leave, then we will not be so nice next time we catch you here. my warriors will chase you off of our territory." the she-cat finished. "whatever your choice, we expect you to honor it. if you stay with us, you will respect our ways."

Toadstep padded out of her den and into the center of the camp. What a beautiful day, she thought to herself, as she breathed in the smells of the forest. What was she to do? She walked around the camp, greeting everyone she met. It seemed rather empty; maybe everyone was out of the camp, hunting in the forest. Maybe I should check on the nursery. Lightbringer had just recently had a litter of kits, and it was important for Toadstep to make sure both the mother and kits were healthy and strong. She picked up her pace and hurried off to the nursery.

LightBringer was lounging just inside the nursery entrance. her kits were all playing around her, wrestling and pushing each other. except for blossomkit of course, she was by her mothers head, curled up and dozing.
OceanKit tackled gorsekit, and wrestled him down to the ground
BeechKit jumped on top of his brother and sister, pushing them both under him as he squealed and laughed.
