*Redclaw glanced at Snakefang and shrugged* the Gathering should start eventually. we are just waiting for Riverclan, which is surprising.

*Suddenly, the island smelled like Riverclan and Riverclan flooded onto the island. Redclaw sighed* there they are and greeted a few cats from Riverclan with a dip of his head*

*Redclaw heard a yowl from one of the leaders. he looked up to see that Blackstar was starting the Gathering. he spoke first. just some nonsense about regular clan life and a fox that was near the Thunderclan border*

Morningfeather rolled her eyes at Blackstar, and then listened to Onestar speak. He talked about a new litter of kits, the badger, and brought up the subject of the competition.

Morningfeather chimed in. "Yes, that would be perfect."
Blackstar narrowed his eyes at the two warriors. "Did I ask you to speak or not?" He asked with anger.
Onestar looked straight at the ShadowClan leader. "All cats are welcome to speak. It is not your choice whether they should or should not. Keep that to your own clan please." He hissed with a stony gaze, continuing. "Yes Redclaw, that would be a good idea." He replied.

*Redclaw's fur started to rise, but flattened again at Onestar's words. he licked his chest fur in embarrassment.*
*Firestar meowed,* then it's settled. we'll meet in three days time on the hills near the mountains. *he then meowed about the Thunderclan patrol that chased off the badger along with the help of a Windclan warrior. he dipped his head towards Onestar, who looked a little shocked, but didn't say a word*

Onestar gave a grave nod but decided to say something after a moment of silence. " I wasn't exactly aware that WindClan helped. Who was our warrior that aided ThunderClan in chasing off the badger?" He asked merely out of curiosity. "But anyways, I will sure be participating in this competition. Beware of our clan as worthy competitors." He added, his voice hinting challenge.
Blackstar laughed. "You best worry about us. ShadowClan sure has the best chance of winning." He purred smoothly.
